I once went here and got a kayak out on the lake. Me and my cousins went out upon the lake aboard it, not knowing the fate that lay ahead. We paddled and paddled, with each stroke getting farther from shore and closer to the center. Alas all was lost, for we had not the strength to fight the ever so still and calm waters. upon one unexpected shove from my comrades... we flipped. Holding on to the kayak for dear life, not knowing what lay in the 3 WHOLE FEET between us and the bottom, we pondered all the creatures that could possibly be lurking in this FAMILY FRIENDLY and ever so RECREATIONAL water. Hurriedly we swam towards the shore, panic ensuing. As we felt the blessed sand beneath our toes we rejoiced. very fun, 5 stars!! :)))

Gorgeous camping ground with mountain views right by the lake. Clean men & women’s bathrooms with lights on 24 hours and running water. Potable water spouts were near us, as well as firewood conveniently for sale. Each camping spot that we saw had a metal picnic table and a fire pit that you can grill over.Really close to good hikes, trails, and of course, the lake itself. There is a small town 5-10 minutes away in case you need to pick up a few things or want a quick bite to eat.Highly recommend!

We arrived on Labor day to camp for one night. We didn’t have a reservation, but upon arrival (after hours) there was a sign will available camp spots, so we got a place inside Bear Loop. The views were great, there was running drinking water, and nice bathrooms.Bear Loop was a great location because there was a lakeside view directly from where we pitched our tents.

Love this place. Overall good and bad. I have stayed here many times over many years. I have had sites in almost every loop and have always been clean with table, fire ring/BBQ , Bear box and parking, near restrooms and potable water, friendly staff and mostly friendly guests. The only real issues I have noticed is generator noise and sometimes Dogs, I enjoy the wildlife coming through camp. Dogs prevent that.,.All in all it is camping and there will always be a bad apple...I prefer only the great things and times that nature gives us..Oh Ridge is top notch in my view

Each member in our group enjoyed the location but had a terrible experience with the campground host on gull loop. Older gentleman yelled at our group to see all of our parking permits and wanted to count each of us at the site… Mind you there was a bigger group of young boys next door? Once we spoke up about his demeanor he started to calm down. I hope staff and camp look into the way he treats guests here. Beautiful lake and great campground just a terrible host…

The staff immediatedly made us feel unwelcome here. Lots of RVs not a great tent campsite, Pine Cliff RV resort across the street has better wooded sites. Here is a lot of rules and camp hosts are will make sure minorities feel unwelcome. They grilled us for having a campfire using wood we purchased from them stating the fire was abnormal. We got a few other snide comments about behavior as we got our camp setup from the camp hosts.

There's no other way to say this. This place is run by out and out racists. I can see their bizarre and antiquated registration system and refusal to use any sort of technology of any kind as quaint. I can accept their use only of cash and money orders as old world charm if incredibly inconvenient (and convenient at tax time). What is unforgivable is their disgusting and blatant racism. As a white male I have seen firsthand how differently they treated me Vs my Hispanic wife. They will serve everyone around but not my wife or her family. They treat her with nothing but condescension and rudeness. This time they actually ordered her to leave after she politely asked them to finish her registration after they had ignored her for a while. Not only racist but bigoted too. They actually said to my wife "what make is your car". Reply "Tesla", "no that's not the make","yes it's a Tesla", "go and ask your husband what make his car is". Yet despite that we have been there several years in a row because it's fairly affordable and has more availability than the public site nearby. The location is great, the lake is beautiful even if it gets very busy. They were finally ordered to install bear boxes, probably after a great tore through the site a couple of years ago and pulled apart people's coolers and cars. The sooner this place gets taken over and good people are allowed to run it the better. A tragic waste of a great location.

You can't beat the view here. Any spot on bear loop has amazing views of the lake. This park is family friendly. Very quiet l Not my frist time here. But it's nice park. Downside still no showers but you can walk to the rv park next door and pay for a shower. Thank you for a great weekend.Nearby activities: Lake swimming and fishing. Miles of fantastic off road trails for bicycles motorcycles it's some of the best mountain riding I get to do.

Great views and awesome location but definitely not peaceful. If like the sound of generators running all day and night then your fine. Almost all RVs and trailers and without hook ups the noise is constant

My sister and I were originally going to go camping in Sequoia. Two days before we were supposed to leave, our reservation got canceled because of the wildfires. We still wanted to go camping so.... I found this place. It did NOT disappoint. Sooooo pretty. We were in loop Bear (#8) and the view from our campsite was lovely. We had to walk a little bit to loop Gull for the bathrooms but it was worth it. We were shocked at how nice the bathroom was!! Flush toilets and it smelled nice!! The bathroom near the lake is a vault toilet and that one was nice and clean too. The people that work there are kind and make multiple rounds a day. The only con is that you are right next to other campsites but everyone was respectful and kept the noise down when it got dark. I'd definitely come here again!

I have tried every which way to get in touch with someone at the site to ask some questions but I've had no luck so I'm hoping this might do it. Coming there 6/5-6/9 this year. Deer Loop with a Class A. How close is the water spigot to fill tank? How close are bathrooms/showers to the site? How close is dump station to the site? Thank you in advance!

Nice campground when I was there 3 years ago. For some reason, this time around way too many RVs. Looks like a small city. I believe the campground should implement a tent only area for tent campers.

One of our favorite camprounds! The sites pointing towards the lake have amazing views. There's good spacing between sites. No hookups but there's plenty of water available. Bathrooms with flush toilets in each area, bring your own hand soap though.

Oh Ridge is a lovely campground with amazing views of June Lake. The campground is very clean and well taken care of. We would like to give special thanks to Earl and the other incredible campground hosts who were extremely helpful with everything that came up! In the many campgrounds we have stayed at, we have never experienced such gracious and kind camp hosts. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful location on a ridge above June lake. Some sites have amazing views of the lake. All the sites are very easy to access with a trailer or large rv. This campground has fewer bathrooms than others in the area so check your site location if you need a bathroom nearby. Campground staff was very nice and helpful and are keeping the site very clean. There is also a dump station which is not usually available in other nearby campgrounds.

Photos of this campground on the rec.gov are awful, but this site is actually really nice! Thats probably the reason why it had few empty sites on the 4th of July weekend. But I am happy I booked it. Its Right next to the lake, has fire-pit and not super crowded. Best lake view spots are 1-10, but unfortunately you’ll have to walk couple of minutes to the restroom

Great spot for the area. We stayed in two spots, one a little better than the other. No hook ups. Many water spickets in all the loops for rv fill up or tent camp use. Also, a bucket to drown the fire at night. June lake is connected to the campground. Beautiful Lake, perfect for families and little kids. No waves, clear and shallow. I gave a four star because the campground, upon arrival, the dump station was "out of service" so we had to find, two towns over Fern Creek Store. - Great store, good beers and plenty of food, snack options. $10 to dump rv tanks. - Then the water main broke our second day in however, they did fix is quickly, the next day it was working. Friendly staff

Beautiful site and location. Appreciate the accessibility to the beach and site maintenance. Unfortunately we had an issue with the front check in booth. When we leave the site to adventure for the day we didn't leave a tent at the site and they assumed we checked out, then gave away our site. When we returned there was someone in our site was a place card showing the check in booth directed them to the site. It was disappointing to ask these new campers to vacate so we could stay in the site we paid for.

Beautiful place to get a piece of mind with nature. Lots of rain deer's, chipmunks, beautiful beach 10min from camp site, the only down fall was the showers you pay 1.00 for 7min which is not bad but the water doesn't stay hot, warm, or cold its Alway's switching on its own so you can't shower comfortable because you always have to be adjusting the shower water. Other than that its a great place to camp at I would definitely go again but with my own shower set up. The place at the camp site provides a fire pit, a bench table, and a bbq grill, restrooms are also very clean😎

This is a great campground! The spots are far apart from each other and most are spacious. We have a 36 foot class A motorhome and although it does not have any hook ups, potable water is readily available and they do have a dump station. The cement pad was almost level! Each space has bear boxes and there are restrooms nearby us if we would need them. Very short walk to the lake.Generator hours are from 6 AM to 10 PM which is great in case it’s hot. They allow campfires! We haven’t been to the store nearby but I’ve heard it’s pretty good.It was very quiet last night and at this posting it is 8 AM and still very quiet.

Nice spacious campsites with picnic table and fire ring. Attendants warned that bears may be in campsites though we did not see any…yet. No hookups available. No showers available here but you can take them at the adjacent rv park. The rv park also has a general store in case you need something. Oh and make reservations on recreation.gov. Beautiful lake for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding.

Location is beautiful! So close to June Lake, what better beach in the mountains? The sites are fairly private and wide. Some spots have trees. We camped here in a 45 foot RV. The campground is easy to access and the road in is wide. Pay attention to the site length as some are quite short. No electric, but there are a couple of water spigots in the center of each loop for campers to use. The campground hasn't been updated since the 1960's. Many of the sites are not very level, but there is an asphalt strip wide enough to park your camper on at each site. Some of the sites have a shade/wind barrier. If you have asthma - stay away. This campground is incredibly dusty and the wind blows every afternoon. Your lungs, your camper, your person will be covered by a black silt by the time you leave. Our group had 3 rigs and everyone had clogged sinus' by the time we left. It would be awesome if the park dumped a few rocks or some sand to cover all of the dust. Also, bring closed-toe shoes. Many of the sites are surrounded by rough cut bramble. A camper near us had to go to the ER after one of the sticks went through her toe. Ugh. Though we probably won't stay here again, we will definately visit the June Lake beach again.

We were looking forward to our trip here. When we checked in a little early we were told we would have to wait. We drove down to day use and could not fit so we exited park to the entrance road. We watched 6 rvers enter the park as we sat there. This was memorial day as everyone had left to head home. The park was only 5% full the 2 nights we were there. We came back and I was upset and said we wanted to be treated fairly as we are all family here and lady interrupted me and said we are not family and she is my host and she is the boss. She then said technically we are 10 minutes early with a park 5% full. I told her I am glad she found it in her heart to let us in early and she said sternly do I know the rules. It would have been 4-5 stars but this overshadowed the whole stay. We had stayed at 4 Inyo parks before this one and gave those staffs all 5 stars for exceptional service. So thank you Miss Linda as we now know not to return and go to the others that appreciate their customers.

We were there for the Labor Day weekend with our dive group. The hosts worked extremely hard while we were there. They maintained order during a hectic and crowded weekend. They maintained the cleanliness of the park and restrooms. They were also very personable and pleasant to speak with. Really treated us very well.

We have been coming here for quite a few years, about 27 actually. There used to be some pretty strict rules, still are, but now they just aren't enforced. The office staff are volunteers, they try but things are often a mess. The campground is really nice, RV spaces are tight but doable. Tent spaces are spacious. General store has a pretty good variety of essentials. They have an on site fish cleaning station, laundry mat and showers. I only give it four stars because I wish some of the rules were unforced, one in particular. Quiet time should start at 10:30, however, on this last trip, inconsiderate campers kept us up until 1am almost every night.

June Lake is insanely beautiful, and staying within walking distance at Oh Ridge was a joyful treat. Camp sites were decently sized and had fairly clean restrooms. Staff was kind, although absent at night, so don't expect quiet hours to be enforced/adhered to. Overall a great experience though.

I love this place for camping 🏕 😍 Because they have working toilets and showers next to the general store. It has a nice view and the campground staff were always nice. If you are lucky you will might have a tree or two for shade. P.S. There might be a deer that you will see.

We really love this place! Its 30 min from mammoth and about the same from the East gate of Yosemite. No hook ups, but clean water to fill your rig and a dump station on your way out for $10. Some sites have great views and others are tucked away nicely. They have great beach access to June lake and some rentals for paddle boards and canoes. Beautiful camp full of wildlife.

This place is amazing! This place is my favorite for scenic environments not far away from camp. Wildlife flourishing while we were here!clean restrooms and showers nearby and awesome people running the place thanks to everyone of them for keeping it clean and safe feeling. June lake is a short walk away 3 minutes on bikes no matter where your staying. Many lakes nearby and not far from town with good alternatives to cooking.

Nestled a little higher than Mammoth Lakes, June Lake has cooler weather. Oh Ridge! is a large federal campground and well maintained. Each loop has clean bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks. During the summer, it's pretty crazy and crowded but you can often find a spot mid-week for a couple of days. Have been coming here for more than half of our lives and never miss a summer here. Good central location for visiting Bridgeport, Yosemite, Mono Lake, Bodie Ghost Town, Convict Lake and Mammoth Lakes.
