Truly wonderful - front desk staff were so friend and hospitable and made it easy to check in and learn about the area. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed (was a welcome feeling after days of camping). AC worked well. Ice machine. Plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy the views. Easy walk to June Lake and Gull Lake. Best sleep I had all trip. No complaints, I'll definitely stay here again.

We arrived at 1:30pm, got told that our room is not Ready yet, as checkin time is 4pm. So we left again. At 3pm got a call that room is ready, we got the Keys just to find cleaning not even started yet. Had to wait in the car until 4:34pm.When you enter the bathroom the light goes on automatically and a very loud Fan Wakes everybody up.Toiletpaper is see throughRoomsize and Ambiente is 60 Dollar motel style and not lodge. The rooms are cleaned well though, still way to expensive at 160 Dollars.June lake is a nice place

Just Perfect!! My entire visit was just excellent. The owner and staff were amazing and helpful. My family and I stayed in room 126. This room has the best view in my opinion. My truck battery died and the staff did not hesitate to help me out. The kitchen has everything you need to cook almost any meal you can think of, even came equipped with a crackpot. It is located at the heart of the village so lakes, food and supplies are just a walk away. I will definitely be back!!Thank you and your entire staff for the hospitality!!

Great cozy lil spot to stay in the center of town. Nicely updated with cute accents of floors, furniture, art on walls. Very affordable given the holidays. But most notable was that Nicole the manager was super helpful, and very kind.We are caught in a blizzard with massive road closures, so she suggested we stay another night. As there was no way out of town, I'm grateful we had a warm place to stay!

Checking clerk was friendly. However, we reserved a pet friendly room but the she said there was no mention of it AND charged us an extra $10 per night for our dog.The room was supposed to sleep three people but there was only one with bed. There was no closet, only a few hooks to hang clothes on.The single foldout table was only about 2 ft by 3 ft. That's not even large enough for two people let alone three.Parking is very limited. Most nights we had to park out by the front office instead of near our room. The room and bathroom were both quite large and the kitchenette was equiped well enough. It was great having an on-demand water heater to supply so the hot water we could use.Maid service was good except they never cleaned the floor. Our room was actually a standalone building not coming to any other rooms which was a welcome benefit. The room was in pretty good condition but, its door had very large gaps when closed. Not a good thing in cold weather. Not that we used it but it's nice that each room has its own BBQ.The hotel is easy walking distance to Gull Lake Marina, restaurants and other local shops.

Every time we stay here the staff goes out of their way to make sure we are happy. The accommodations are clean and well stocked, if you need anything you just ask and they do their best to make it happen! It's close to June Lake, restaurants, and the brewery, perfect location. On our last visit my grandson left his favorite toy, and they were happy to mail it back!We will continue to stay at the Villager every time we're in the June Lake area.

This place is great and we'll stay here every time we come up to June. Very cozy cabin-like rooms with fireplace and full kitchen. Our young boys fell in love with the upstairs loft that was their bedroom and our bathroom was recently renovated. Very easy in and out and my wife appreciated the laundry facilities as well (even just the dryer for wet snow clothes).Location is great - right next to Tiger Bar where we ate most meals we didn't cook in the room and a very short walk from the general store and Ernie's. The town of June Lake is great and the Villager is certainly a gem.

The location is beautiful and the staff member who checked us in was really friendly. However, the room was very uncomfortable. The bathroom tiny, the sink isn't even in the bathroom, you have to walk through the living area or the bedroom to get to the sink. The furniture is in terrible condition and looks like they got it from the side of the road. The room wasn't that clean or at least appeared that way because everything is so old and in not good condition, and stained carpet. Our bedroom window faced a parking lot and we kept having headlights shinning in our room. We could also hear everything our upstairs neighbor was doing. Will be back to June Lake, but we'll choose some where new to stay this time.

Loved this place. Dog friendly is always a must for me. It was an additional $25 to have my dog there. The view was gorgeous. There was a big fridge and a nice kitchen to cook your own food. The bathroom was also super nice. The cons: the bed was incredibly noisy when you moved and quite soft. The heater made a loud click everytime it kicked on

Our bathroom door has got locked by itself from the inside. I discovered that in the middle of the night when I woke up to use the bathroom. They didn't have any bathroom door keys in the unit. I went through every drawer. I called the receptionist. She had no clue if there was any key for the case like that and she had no idea what to do. She struggled to reach someone. I called her back, she still didn't get a hold of anyone. I asked her what kind of solution they have for emergencies like that because I really needed to use the restroom or whether it was possible to transfer us to a different unit (however we still had some of our stuff in the bathroom). She still had no idea what to do. After trying different stuff to unlock the door we used our metal nail filer to unscrew the screws and take out the lock to get inside. Then we set up the lock back the same way. That was insane. I wanted to cancel the request because we were very tired and didn't want anybody to come to wake us up for fixing the lock problem. So I called back but the person had no clue that there was any request sent. So I had to explain the whole situation again and provide info for my request to cancel. Very very unpleasant experience. The place is nice, very cozy. I was happy to discover the location and would love to come back on my future trips. The spot is perfect right in between Yosemite and Mammoth Lake. But not being able to use the bathroom in the middle of the night after the whole day spent hiking ruins the experience. If you install the lock that requires a key PLEASE keep it in the unit!

Stayed here back in September 2019, we had arrived late at night and the key was attached to the door in an envelope. No problem... also a sign saying power would be turned off for fire safety, also no worries. Couldn’t be helped. We were tired after a day of travelling and were ready to jump into bed. Our room reeked of propane from the heater which was a bit concerning.... toilet had poo smeared all around the bowl.... not pleasant.... beds weren’t made.... had hair and stains all over the sheets. Tried calling the emergency number to try get a room that had been cleaned. No such luck.... the only good thing about staying here, the reception lady in the morning was really nice to offer us a total refund for our room. If the room had been cleaned it would have been such a cute wee place to stay..... however it wasn’t and left a sad note on the trip

The location is central in the (small) village with enough parking spots behind the hotel. This is also where the rooms are. The room is clean and big enough for the two of us. The bathroom is a little outdated and not everything is as solid as it used to be. There is a large soft bed and there is a TV with a video recorder (yes I know) available. Also a heater and a small electric fan to cool the room. Refrigerator and coffeemaker are also in the room. Since this was our base for visiting Yosemite it was more than enough for us,since the road to Yosemite was nearby. Summary, good hotel with friendly staff and room is cleaned every day.

I love this place. It's a great and simple place that reminds me of a small cabin in the middle of the woods. The upside to this is that I feel like I'm camping, and as a fisherman that is what I'm looking for at June Lake. The downside is that the rooms are kinda small, and it doesn't have the refined or polished look of your traditional hotel. It's all a matter of what type of environment you like. The service is awesome! The price ranges from affordable to more expensive depending on the size, but the value is pretty good for being 2 blocks away from the marina.

Amazing view & cutest motel tucked away in a neighborhood of families enjoying summer in a peaceful & tidy town on a mountain. Please note, there is no AC & motel is very dated since it's been around since early 1930s. The perfect brisk weather accommodated for the lack of AC.I loved the provided toiletries! It's a simple room with just the essentials, the view and community make it a peaceful solution to any sightsee'er on a mission!

- We explicitly stated that we will do late check in and there was no text to receive the lock code. Called them 17 times and no response.- No cleaning service.- They charged $50 extra and there was no communication as to what this charge is for .- This place is run like a SCAM.- Silently charging your card without any explanation.- Never coming to this place ever again.

Such a great place! We were very excited to walk into such a clean and nicely decorated room. The building are old, with character, but the interiors have been redone. Highly recommend for families too, very spacious! And the front desk was very helpful :)

We stayed in room 125 on December 19th. The beds were nice and the room was decent sized with a separate shower and jacuzzi tub. The water pressure in the shower was kind of like, but the water was nice and hot. The room is missing a closet and was a little out dated, but for the price we paid I would happily stay again.

Stayed there only one night and arrived very late (after 10pm). We called upfront and the kind receptionist told us she would pin the keys to the office door. All worked well. Had a good sleep however the bed was very soft. The furniture was kind of old but it fitted the atmosphere.
