Love June Lake. It recently snowed so the skiing was great!First time staying at the June Lake Hotel.Parking is extremely limited in the parking lot as well as on the street.I left behind my jacket upon checkout. I called the front desk while driving home and let them be aware.Happy to say I the received it in the mail by the end of the week!! Yay 😊The rooms are basic. Mini refrigerator, microwave and basic necessities for dishes, etc. There is a card by the dishes stating you need to wash what you use or you will be charged. The dish soap, sponge and dish towel are provided.Free wifiWe needed ice. There was a small ice tray in the freezer portion but needed additional ice that we were able to purchase at the local store next door. The shower has separate hot and cold handles that proved to be difficult getting to the correct temperature. After showering, we tried to explained to the next person the best way how to effectively use them. Needless to say everyone's shower experience was very quick! Our room was on the second floor and we could hear people coming and going outside. There are signs outside requesting to be considerate of noise.Nearby activities: Ski June MountainJune Lake BreweryTiger Bar CafeWalkability: Easy walk to June Lake Brewery and the Tiger Bar Cafe

Gave the 3 stars because the beds are horrible and the heater did not work properly. I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The heater did not go on automatically. I had to wake up when it got cold and had to tap the thermostat to get it to go on. It is a nice little motel in center of town. The rooms were clean and quiet.Walkability: Right in center of town a few minute walk to everything.

Location is great on the main street where it's walking distance to the general store and restaurants.Quiet, clean room on the 2nd floor.Had a kitchen and breakfast table which was great for cooking, eating, and staring out of the window in the morning. Though the view was just of the neighborhood, the trees and mountains were nice.Beds and pillows were comfortable. TV had various channels. The sofas, toilet and sink counter were all lower than usual which is perfect if you're a child but that was fine. However, it was hard to get a hold of anyone as there was no one in the office when we checked in/out.They need to write on their check-in sheet what the check out instructions are as we had to guess to drop our key in a "Key" box but it was unattended...For more tips and photos,IG: grace.loves.adventures

The room I got was unclean. There were lots of hair everywhere . There were hairs on the blanket , hairs all over the shower room walls . The used towels were left hanging behind the door . Feel like it wasn't cleaned properly after the last tenant .As such the room is furnished fine with microwave, coffee maker , fridge and even some basic cutlery

So if you actually read, it's rated a two-star, and for a two-star, it was actually nice and had no problems. The unit was nice and clean and had lots of room.. and I say unit because it reminded me of a little tiny studio apartment that had a little kitchen off to the side. The bathroom was off on its own, and there was plenty of room in the living and sleeping area.

I’ve been staying here for years and years during snow seasons and I would be nuts to give this motel anything less than 5 stars. This motel is an absolute gem—truly our home away from home.I am a particularly light sleeper and I always directly call the front office to see what rooms they have available to accommodate my needs. Tyler usually helps us out and always books us a room that suits my HSP sleep issues. The motel rooms are quiet enough and we always have a comfortable stay there! The cabins may be a bit tricky for you if you are an *extremely* light sleeper like me, but my boyfriend who is a normal sleeper sleeps in those rooms just fine for reference. The motel rooms with kitchens/kitchenettes have pretty much everything you need for a great stay. I always make sure to bring my own seasoning, cooking oil, hand soap, and paper towels but aside from these, the rooms have you covered.Furthermore, I cannot emphasize how accommodating the owners and everyone who works here are. Whenever we are missing or need anything, they promptly help and provide us with what we need. They are so warm and welcoming, you really couldn’t ask for better customer service. We love June Lake Motel!!! It’s our favorite affordable place to stay in June!

What a Dump...Cozy is used often to describe this 1950s vintage dark, smelly, dirty, shag carpeted walled campsite.Heater was not working?.. hey folks 30 degree Temps outside-how about fixing the heater? The bed was a crazy soft bear wallow. Frozen and a broken back... just what is needed for a very long nite with no sleep. Perfect.Unhelpful staff with circles answers about helping with my request for a refund on the one unused nite... thanks Nick for nothing.Pass this one by... Don't stay here.

They charged a pet fee for my service companion. According to California law, they are not allowed to do this. I stated multiple times before and during arrival that I was bringing my service companion, but once we checked in they acted like they didn’t know this beforehand and proceeded to charge us extra for our stay. I wasn’t in the mood to fight it, but hopefully this review makes up for the $40 I was charged.Otherwise, It is a charming stay. Just wash your dishes and leave before 10am on the day of your check out or else they will charge you extra. If you want charming and hospitality however, check out the Gull Lake Motel or Lake Front Cabins. They are of a similar price range and much nicer.Update: I’m just reading the owner’s response to my review for the first time. Contrary to the owner’s claim, I had called prior to our arrival and stated that I would be accompanied with my service companion. I may have been harsh in submitting a 1-star review, looking back on the matter, a 2-star review would be more fitting... At the time. June Lake Motel is still a good place to lay your head on the cheap if you enjoy skiing and cooking your own meals. But as you can read between the lines below, I would not describe the staff and owner as neither warm nor welcoming. It’s sort of humorous and outlandish the owner came on here to call a man ‘cheap’ and claim I’m such a sore loser that I’d write a bad review over a $20 “pet fee.” Chump change I agree, and thank you for not charging me hundreds of dollars. Still however, it is unacceptable. I have dished out fees for my service companion before, and this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It’s absolutely unacceptable and bad business, accompanied with the audacity of this owner being a childish internet bully. Here’s an experiment you can do at home: leave a 2 or 3 star review on this mate’s business with some benign reason, and see how he responds to you. It’ll give you an idea of who’s running this circus.

Extremely Clean Comfortable Motel with Friendly Staff. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. The property is extremely clean with a very friendly staff. I originally booked a small room with air conditioning. The room was pretty small, so the next day we asked to be moved to a larger room- Unit 103 which turned out to be huge with a kitchen for $20 more. The staff was so accommodating and switched us with no problem. We decided to stay an extra day because we really liked the accommodations. Our visit was in the fall so we did not need the air conditioner. So if you’re looking for a really nice clean motel with large livable space, this is the place.

We stayed at June Lake Motel this past Memorial Day weekend. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They informed us all the great places to checkout and visit while we were in town. Our room was huge with fully equipped kitchenette - kettle, microwave, fridge, cabinets. Our room, bed, bathrooms were so clean and in great condition. Even though our room window faced the main road, it was surprisingly very quite. The common hallways and parking lot is very quite too.The motel is located in the heart of the town, there are many restaurants and cafe within few minutes walking distance. There is a grocery store next door which is very convenient. June Lake brewery is right behind the motel, which was our favorite spot to hangout in the day and evening. June Lake beach is 5-10 mins drive from the motel. We are definitely going back again and staying at this cute motel and you should too.

Quaint little motel. Friendly owner and staff. We were very comfortable with 2 adults and 2 kids in our room. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom was newly updated. Clean, cozy and comfortable. We walked to the Tiger for most meals and went to the Mexican restaurant one night. Convenient locale for our ski trip to June Mountain.

It was perfect. We stayed for the weekend so we could hike around the area. The location is right on the Main Street, and a one minute walk to basically everywhere. 5 min walk to gull lake. It’s very clean and the owner is very friendly. We had a king room with everything you need for a long weekend: mini fridge, microwave, toaster and small coffee maker (bring your own coffee if you like to enjoy coffee). It had pairs of whiskey glasses, wine glasses and coffee cups and disposable plates and utensils. This place is not super updated and doesn’t have the finest of linens so if you’re looking for luxury, stay in mammoth. But if you’re looking for a nice, clean place to stay with the luxury of appliances and want to support a nice family, stay here.

I have stayed here twice over two years and there will be more to come. Perfect location in June Lake. You are close to many of the local businesses. The owners are very accommodating to your needs. The small grilling area makes it nice to cook up some great food with an amazing view of the mountains. Prices are reasonable for the area. Rooms are very clean and have a comforting feel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room, with a full kitchen, was clean and very functional. The room very much had a "cabin" sorry of feel which went very well with the area. June lake itself was beautiful. The free WiFi worked very well. The value is good, even if the price is a little high, due to the ability to cook your own food. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and hopefully will get the chance to return!

I have visited the June Lake Loop for over 25 years and have stayed at the June Lake Motel twice over the last year. I find many of the motels in this area similar in overall quality: solid three star, but not four star facilities. Some are perhaps a little more run down than others. June Lake is a fishing and skiing community; if you are looking for a resort, try the pricey Double Eagle Resort at the bottom of the hill. If you want a clean, comfortable room with a lot of space and a very completely furnished kitchen, the June Lake Motel is a great value.Although right on the main road, it is comfortably quiet (the main road just isn't that busy). Not only is the motel in good repair, it looks to me like the owner is actively maintaining it. Although the rooms don't have much of a view, all you have to do is step outside and look around: the entire glacial valley is a view.I found the owner to be a cheery and sociable woman: happy to chat, ready to help. Of the places I have stayed in the area, I find this establishment to be comfortable, clean, and a good deal.

Got a corner room that's spacious and clean. However, the room is very warm (80 degrees) with no AC. We couldn't leave the window open to cool due to the noise pollution from the next door brewery. Would have been great if wasn't the case.

We loved this place! The staff and the accommodations were par excellent! Very attentive, congenial, and this is a place I will definitely come back to.Love the area, and the opportunities are boundless for nature's wonder.Amenities are top notch, and the immediate area is not lacking if you may have forgotten to bring something. Whatever your needs, from fishing to an evening cocktail, it's all here. Did I mention that you can barbecue? Hell yeah! It's here. Come on by and rest your soul, it'll knock the hard times away.

We are staying here for 2 nights. We are in C4 and this is a mini cabin behind the hotel. Very clean and quaint. Comfy king bed and nice shower. I love the little stove. Nice big fridge and freezer with ice cubes in trays. We walked to the general store to p/up supplies. The brewery is right next door too. Great location. Nice parking under pine trees. Nice new thermostat to keep the room comfortable. Ceiling fan. Tv. Good wifi with my VZW. There are no windows so that was different but I like this little place. It’s pet friendly and we brought our dog and there was room for her dog bed. The bathroom is big. Very comfortable for 2 people. Thank you June Lake Motel.

Lovely place!! Affordable, clean, spacious, and quaint. The owners are absolutely wonderful and helpful and we will be sure to stay at Grant's place next time we're in the area. I really liked how spacious the rooms were, excellent wi-fi and TV service, and that the kitchen (full kitchen!) had all the things we would need if we had decided to cook, which we didn't. Once again thanks for a great space and you have a great kid Mr.Grant.

Attention to detail is the major accomplishment of this hotel. Besides being clean, every little item you may need has been thoughtfully included in the room. It’s clear the management is very organized. The downside, however, is the photo of Trump in the lobby, the NRA sticker on the window, etc. It’s run by a married couple - avoid the husband unless discussing white grievance politics excites you.

Highs and lows. We arrived late but the management kindly left us the key at the front which was much appreciated. They do have a ploicy of no snowboard/ski equipment in rooms, something the guests upstairs did not care about as all 10 or so of them geared up and such at 5:00am til they left at 7:00. Clean room with kitchenette. Had coffee, tea and such. Heater worked great. Right on the main road but still quiet. The smoking area was close to our room so we got to enjoy someone elses cigar habit. The price was quite reasonable for a weekend stay on season and of course the scenery can't be beat. All in all will probably stay there again.

Cute place. Nice rooms. Renovated There are two sections. One section we stayed in was like a duplex cabin and another section is like a old fashioned cute hotel. Picture is if the cabin style duplex we stayed in. It was the ADA room and was on the small size but nice.

On the rare occasion my family chooses not to camp along the June Lake Loop, we usually stay at the June Lake Motel. Never had a bad experience here, and the rooms are all clean and comfortable. It's nice being centrally located in town, especially with the new Brewery right behind the motel!

Stayed here for two nights when travelling between Death Valley and Yosemite. This proved to be a lovely stopover, exploring the area around June, Mono and Mammoth Lakes, encountering beautiful scenery and local hospitality.Big shout out for Lisa for her friendly hospitality and for being helpful in so many ways, totally made our stay.We stayed in room 119 on the first floor, a spacious room with a King sized bed and kitchenette. Very comfortable and homely with reasonable WiFi as well if you want to stay in touch. The room has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker but only has disposable plates and plastic knives as standard. The ever helpful Lisa loaned us a couple of breakfast bowls for our cereal. The room contained a folder with loads of local information.Outside the room on the Verandah is a table and chairs, great for dining al fresco.Loved staying here, highly recommended.

The room is very well equiped, full kitchen, very cozy new look bathroom as well as a spacious living space. The only thing is the AC either doesn't work or is non-existent. Thankfully they provide plenty of fans but it can get a little steamy sometimes

Owner is unprofessionalSpecifically, he either stays at the hotel or frequents it all day. Parking is rather limited at this hotel, he would rather secure a spot then leave one for his guests (by parking in the street) he did this the entire weekend we stayed. He also proceeded to clean his car in the parking lot. Spraying pollen and dirty water all over the air and vicinity on a hot afternoon people were outside walking around. Just rude. I don’t think he ever said hello, just gave dirty looks as we stepped over his piles of water...

June Lake is a pretty quiet vacation spot, at least in summer. Many people come to fish. I hike and the High Sierra is 30 minutes away around Tioga Pass, both inside and outside the national park. My room was spacious and the kitchen great - 4 burner gas range (no oven), fridge, microwave, coffee maker stocked daily, good cookware. No AC, but a nice cool evening breeze with open windows. Can be a bit noisy with the windows open, street noise, cars in the lot, or big groups hanging out around the bbq grills for dinner. All manageable but I have some concern about the neighborhood skateboard ramp being built immediately underneath the windows in the back. If that turns out to be popular in the evenings it could be u BLM pleasant. Absent that, a very nice stay with very helpful owners.
