It's a beautiful lake with emerald blue color. The water is very clear and shallow for about 70 feet then it gets deeper. I would recommend to come and take a swim even though the water is cold. You get used to it.

Very relaxing place. Need to go through the toll booth of the campground but its free to enter the place just to visit the lake and spend some time there. It seemed to be a very popular place for camping. Lots of Trucks especially. Didn't see any kayaking, but its a great place to unwind and bask in the beauty of this lake.Mostly importantly well maintained!

JUNE lake: I had been to June lake for 2 reasons--the first purpose was staying overnight for 3 nights. And 2, I had also been here for the purpose of resting so I can go out in the daytime and shoot photos. I had decided I liked it here, because it was serene and I love the little lake it was quiet and I like the small shops. I also liked that it was close to mono lake and the gas station, and food. I didn't care anything about entertainment, I just wanted quiet at night.I thought the town was quietly serene and scenic. It suited my needs very nicely, and so when I came back I decided to come back here to June lake. I found out I had fallen in love with this little place, I can't believe that I've done that. Who would have known I'd fallen in love with this unpretentious little place. I hadn't even known until I decided to come back your for another photography trip. When I was trying to decide where to stay, I found out it was really easy, my mind went immediately to June lake. Since you guys have everything that I want, here I am. Thank you for being just exactly who you are.

June Lake and June Lake Loop is a really pretty drive especially during the fall season. This lake is surrounded by beautiful trees and mountains. The trees can change color to bright yellow and orange and sometimes even red.There are 4 main lakes around the loop including Gull, Silver, and Grant. You can fish here and rent out boats. It is beautiful. Must go between late September through the middle of October to catch the fall colors.You can also go up anytime at all to fish.

Beautiful lake near YosemiteJune lake is near Yosemite. There is a campground nearby that you can reserve for camping. It is very beautiful! Highly recommended!
