We had a fantastic fishing trip at the Big Rock Resort. Me and my co-workers rented a pontoon boat, (enjoy the T-shirt Mike) very clean and well maintained. Mike, the owner gave us excellent service, thank you again! And he gave us fantastic spots to fish on June lake, and we hit the jackpot! We have to come back, and stay at the resort. If you want to experience excellent service at a great fishing resort in mammoth, Big Rock Resorts is your location!!

Our family and dog Poppy had an amazing time, we enjoyed a two night stay, a boat ride on the lake and took advantage of some great places to eat within walking distance. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The property was beautiful and our cabin # 7 was exactly what we imagined. We will definitely be returning for another trip. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Stayed 3 days with my two brothers to fish and enjoy some quality time together. This resort is great! Clean, with all the amenities a quaint cabin can give. All the staff were great, helpful, and friendly. The reservations for our cabin and boat were made at the same time and ready to go when we arrived. Alisa the manager was always available to answer my questions before and after we arrived. Thank you for a great stay for me and my brothers!!

A few weeks ago, my kids and I stayed in cabin #8 for the third year in a row - another 5-star experience! Alisa, owner/manager, is super responsive and accommodating. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing, and this location has everything a family needs to enjoy time on the lake - boat rentals, fishing, kayaks, SUP boards, and a small beach area where the kids can play in the sand and water. Super friendly staff and clean cabins with all the needed amenities. We'll be back next year as this has become my family's summer vacation tradition to the Easter Sierras.

Had an amazing time! We rented a little motorboat on the lake for half a day and the price was very reasonable. The owner I’m assuming helped us out giving me a quick lesson on how to operate the boat. We brought some fishing poles and even caught some tricky trout in the summer. Staff have a very friendly attitude and an amazing place to go! Thanks for a fun time.

We rented a boat for the day at June Lake through this resort. We loved it! June Lake was amazing its so beautiful, although we didnt stay here we would! The family that owns it - is so nice, they even offered us a drink after we got off the boat and having a lovely conversation about our home state in AZ. They mentioned the lake can get frozen as much as 24" over winter and they close Nov=April, its a ski town over winter, and in the summer its delightful and 70's. Cant wait to return.

We stay here every year it is so much fun and the lake is beautiful the rooms are awesome with our own kitchenette, boat rentals kayaks standing boards and great fishing. And not only that but she get to meet other people from all over different areas it also friendly it’s like one big family!!! Make sure you go in and meet Alisa and a whole crew and give Oliver a petting, they’re all there to make your trip even more special and helpful 🤩🤩🤩🤩

My family and I have stayed here for six years in a row and every time I can’t say enough how beautiful and relaxing it is! The family memories and laughs we have had here are priceless. Big Rock Resort is definitely a hidden jewel in the June Loop. We just left this morning and can’t wait to come back next year! We rented kayaks from here. $20 per hour for tandem. They have life vests for kids. Everyone had a great time on June lake. Beautiful views and a great experience!

What an excellent experience ! I spent several days and nights here and did not want to leave. We have been going to The June Lake Loop for over 25 yrs, just recently had to start cabin camping. Place was VERY clean, beds are comfortable, accomodations were more than adequate. The 5 star review is really more for Mike and his wife and their wonderful staff. We had a sticky situation which could have easily NOT landed in our favor.... But Mike and his wife made everything right. This place is conveniently next to several stores within walking distance. Parking is not an issue.

Beautiful view of the lake. They have a special patio area with tables, benches and BBQ grill reserved for Cabin #1. The cabin has two full bathrooms with shower and bath tub. Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the other bedroom has two twin beds. Master bedroom also has a futon. We rented a Pontoon boat and spent the afternoon on the lake. We also fished from the boat. Some of our kids jumped into the lake from the boat to swim. Make sure to wear life jacket, if you decide to swim off the boat, because of the current. The cabin is well kept with all the kitchen supplies you need to prepare your meals. The office is attached to Cabin #1. The office has a small store inside. Michael and Alisa were very nice and helpful. They go above and beyond to meet your needs. Looking up at the stars was so amazing. We did lose power our first night there, so the cabin was very dark. We were told the electric company was doing maintenance on their lines. Power was restored the next morning. Luckily we brought flashlights and lanterns with us. Only one thing I would suggest, is buy your groceries before you come up. The nearest supermarket is in Mammoth which is at least a 20 mile drive. They do have shops and places to dine in down the street from Big Rock. We ordered Pizza our first night there. There is also a brewery near by. There is also a swimming beach area up the road you can drive to. Beautiful area to take a drive and explore. This is a beautiful place to visit to get back to nature, and get away from the city. We booked the cabin for next year. We can't wait to come back. My granddaughter asked Alisa do you know how lucky you are to live here. She is 8 years old, but she already enjoys these beautiful surroundings.

The cabin itself was great. But the lack of discipline from the office regarding the neighbors loose barking dog ruined my serenity. Mostly after spending $1,400.00 for our time. Even with a phone call and email, to no acknowledgement, the neighbors let the dog run, bark, enter our cabin and potty anywhere. The rules state to empty your trash and bag linens. We left our place spotless, mostly since I felt bad for the gal having to clean up after those neighbors.With knowing 8 cabins, I thought (assumed) maybe 50 people. This area is a free for all. Packed and noisy. Better research on my part next vaca.

Mike and Lori are the best! Over the years they've owned Big Rock Resort we've become friends. I'm sure most repeating guests would say the same thing. Best location in June lake with nicely done cabins from 1 to 3 rooms.

Did not stay here, came because the Boat Rental at Gull Lake Marina was Bad. They will only rent Pontoon Boats for a Half Day after 12 noon, Felt a little like Extortion, so we ended up here. Rented 3 days in a row and the Customer Service was great, the Boats are clean and well maintained. Complete opposite experience at the other Marina.

I recommend everyone from all walks of life to go to June Lake, rent a boat or cabin from Big Rock and have an incredibly awesome time in one of the most beautiful settings in the Sierra Nevada mountains
