A great stop in the Julian/ Santa Ysabel area if you need hardware and other goods. Ryan is very helpful and has a good amount of stock on hand, saving an hour or more round trip into town. Recommended.

Excellent backcountry supply store, I am so impressed with the selection of items they offer. From paint to plumbing, sewing to art supplies, locally made items and more, Manzanita Supply has something fun for everyone and most likely what you’ll need for projects you’re working on or home repairs. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the store is well kept, clean and nicely organized. A great place to stop in and see what interesting things you’ll find!

Very excited about this store, especially being a service guy in this area. We were in need of part for a job, didn't want to go back into Ramona so we stopped to look around. Very pleasantly surprised at the selection and prices. Typically these types of stores are very expensive with no stock... not this place!! I was able to find exactly what I needed, and had a great conversation with nice Lady at the register. Will definitely return, with confidence that they will have the materials/tools needed to complete the job.

Instead of going all the way down to Ramona, just stop by or call them. You will be pleasantly surprised on all the things they do have. From fixing your toilet to gardening supplies. From quality thread to charcoal. Super helpful and friendly. Just remember they are no longer in Santa Ysabel, they moved to Wynola behind the Cooler.

Fantastic old building with lots of history and friendly shop owners in the hardware store. The building was built in 1884 and has a ton of history. The hardware store is well stocked during the summer months and winter with pipe insulation, plumbing, RV items, electrical and local made items like plates and candles.

What a charming hardware store this is. I love love love everything they have from cute handmade local goods to electrical supplies. They have something for everyone! The kids love the novelty candies and hubby loves he can get whatever he needs with a quick trip down the road. Such a blessing since he commutes down the hill during the week for work. The owners are amazing and very knowledgeable about the products. Thank you Manzanita Supply for bringing such a great resource to the community.

Manzanita Supply is a very welcome addition to the greater Julian community with its diverse selection of tools, outdoor equipment, electrical supplies, salt for water softeners, and a special section for crafting. Conceived and executed by Ryan Hunter, this General Store fills a huge gap after the Mercantile closed in Julian some time ago. The selection is ever expanding and includes most of the items you might need for home and outdoor projects.Special requests are always considered, and where appropriate, Ryan brings the item into the store. One of the latest additions is Traeger wood pellets for pellet grills - no need to run down to Ramona any more!Ryan also manages the antique side of the business for the historical society so you can browse tools and equipment as well as vintage offerings from times past. There is also an excellent selection of locally made candles and decorated plates which are exquisitely done. It's a wonderful collection of practicality and nostalgia in a great setting right across from Don's Market and Dudley's in Santa Ysabel. Definitely worth stopping and shopping!

So glad to have a hardware store up here in the mountains again. They're getting stocked up on all the basics, so you don't have to go down the hill for that one item to complete a project. They also have a few things to make a stop worthwhile for those of you coming up the hill for a mountain getaway. Best of all there's friendly and helpful staff familiar with the stock, and available to answer questions.

Now, first of all the place looks great! You think, can this be real? It looks like right out of the history books , you step thru the door. I you find yourself in a " modern "time warp".
