Always so very beautiful and healing. Today my son & I went there for the memorial of a long time friend. The love was strong and the sky was a cloudless blue with seagulls, pelicans, and hawks flying above us throughout the day. The was sun shining like a warm hug. A true gift.

A little pricy for what it is: dry camping, no hook-ups and port-a-potties. That said, the views are spectacular, especially if you get a cliff side spot. Also nice hiking all along neighboring cliffs.Port-a -potties weren’t the greatest, but not the worst either. Coulda used some cleaning and more frequent emptying given the numbers of folks using them. Open-to-the-sky outdoor showers took quarters, but provided plenty of HOT water and lots of room to get dry and change. There were water spigots here and there for filling small containers (not an RV tank due to drought so bring plenty of water). Overall we loved it (we stayed in our RV) and would stay here again for the views.

It doesn’t get any prettier than this. It’s very light on amenities, but that is the kind of camping that we love. It’s also great for folks who don’t always plan six months in advance! I love that it remains first come, first served, after all these years! Everyone is super friendly! Lots of RVs here, but NOT an upity trailer park. Ocean Cove rocks!

Beautiful campground right by the ocean, good for RV’s and even tents if you’re not scared of the cold at night. Surprisingly very warm during the day in late fall-winter months. There are mostly cliffs and huge waves, perfect for a short hike or just chilling in a hammock listening to waves crashing down below.

The place is amazing. Fresh ocean air, beautiful hikes and friendly staff. Restrooms are always clean, nice little store across the street, where you can purchase groceries or firewood.

This is one of the top campsites that we love coming to. $40 cash/$45cc a night also $2 per dog. Beautiful views near the ocean. There is also a boat ramp. Highly recommend this location.Restrooms: Port-a-john littered around the campgroundDog-friendliness: Dogs are welcomed but most remain leashed. There is a warning sign stating you could be asked to leave if dogs are off leashed.

Awesome place to be out from every day city life! We are trying to get here at least once a year in summer, to escape heat of the valley. Don’t forget a warm jacket because it can get nice and cold here, yet fantastic weather around 60F -70F during the day, and if you will be lucky no wind. Camp gets busier close to the weekends and if you want to get better spot consider to come earlier… Thursday? It is better to call up front to the ocean cove store and see the situation… they are very nice and friendly and keep their campground clean all the time…

We come here every year.Really cool place for family and church retreats. Too bad you can’t catch abalones anymore as we initially started to visit this place back in the 90’s.It’s still cool tho.Recommended.

I will be definitely coming back again soon. It was really really windy the day I came and my family and I could not put up our tent because it kept on falling over. We ended up sleeping in the car but i recommend checking the weather/forecast before you go. The trails are so cool and they all lead you to a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was only $30 per vehicle per night if you were paying cash, it is $35 if you are paying with your card. There are so many different campsites to choose from and even with all the RV’s and other types of motor homes we still had a great view of the ocean.

We stayed here during the week in October. It costs $30 a night. I would say about 40% of the campers were long term with no one actually their. It was easy to find a nice spot with a amazing view. I would have given it 5 stars but the site are here dirt and the porta pottys were a bit on the dirty side. The views were unbelievable.

Awesome campground by the beach! There are showers and port-a-potties, be sure to take quarters for the showers. There’s a small store that has some essentials but it’s better to take your own food. There’s a restaurant down the road if you’re desperate. The views are stunning, it seems like a great place to spend a couple of days with friends and family.

Very good view but very rustic campground. No water, no sink, no roof on the showers so you better go when it's hot and it is 2,50$ (prepare the coins).

Really pretty spot. We showed up at 6:30PM on a Friday long weekend and got one of the best spots. We slept in the back of the open truck bed to the sound of the surf. The campgrounds are well spread out and it was quiet, clean, and came with a picnic bench and fire pit. The shop sold everything including wood.

Amazing place to go camping windy during the day but so still at night. Hearing the waves crash as you sleep was therapeutic. we set up our tent right by the the ledge by the dock. I would note have a strong industrial tent if your going to have a big one that is more than 5 feet tall. Ours got whipped into submission. It was Flailing around like a possessed contortionist being hit with holy water during an exorcism. Other wise I would camp behind the tree line.

It's a great place to camp! I like the area closer to the ocean, for obvious reasons. I do wish there was a beach to walk on. But there is great scenic over looks and cool rocks to climb. (Some areas are scary high above the ocean! Careful with little kids)

I took a star off because it has become over crowded. Some of the crowd is lacking any basic campground manners, and no one does anything about it.Update! Still beautiful scenery, but the owners over book. Quite crowded. Filthy porta potties. Many dogs roam the place off leash. One recently attempted to attack me while walking my dog (leashed). Too many political banners, some with obscene messages. Not recommended for anyone, particularly families with children.

Had fun camping with our church here! Amazing ocean views and breezes! There were lots of small snails and mussels when the tides were down, which the kids enjoyed catching for fun!The only drawback is the pottable toilets!Even though they are cleaned everyday, the management should consider building restroom since this campground is becoming more popular!

Mostly fishermen using the campground it seemed. Looks like a death wish going out in the surf there though. Honey buckets need some attn, showers were hot, cost $2.50 though. No walking trails that I could find either but the views are gorgeous

I loved this location. It was my first time camping here. The restrooms were kept clean just keep in mind to bring hang soap or sanitizer if you are camping out in a tent like myself. There are only three showers on site. In addition, the view was breathtaking and the weather was amazing. I would definitely be coming back to this location.

Absolutely THE BEST campsite!!!! Love the place, the people, and the views are breathtaking. Guys go scubadiving, spearfishing, kayak fishing and boats. Have been coming back since early 2000s many times a season, rain or shine!

Nice area, right by the ocean. Spots are close to each other, so you can see everything around. But people are friendly and respectful. There are showers and bathrooms, sometimes not clean. There is a convenience store by campground, where you can buy all you need and pay for your stay. After it closes self-pay is available.

Beautiful spot on the West Coast with beautiful views of the ocean and sunset. We've seen whales in the Cove. Spots available with ocean views, literally on the cliffs edge. Camper and tent friendly. No hookups. Port a potties are well maintained and trash crews keep up with demand.

This private camp ground has RV parking options right on the ocean bluff. The camping system is open camping and often family groups will create RV circles of 3-4 units to create wind blocks around a fire. If the wind is not blowing this site is spectacular. Bathrooms are outhouses. There is a tiny store across the street where you can pay the fee. No reservations needed, get there early for good spots. Also keep in mind that the fee is per vehicle so if some of your guest arrive in separate vehicles there is a charge for each car.

Absolutely beautiful scenery around this peninsula. Ocean clean! Large group campsites, many with amazing ocean views, some secluded and some on dusty flats. General store just across the highway. Indoor and open air quarters-only showers available. No nice toilet restrooms available on premises, only several porta-potty style that smell terrible even though they are emptied daily. If you have an RV with a toilet, you are lucky! Small lovely beach below with a narrow zigzag boat ramp for small boats, fish cleaning station provided, sunsets are AMAZING from several cliffside spots. Raccoons will visit your picnic table at night so pack food away. Ground fire pits at each site, chilly night air, starry skies, warm to hot daytime weather. Many campers have dogs on leash. Many large families with children riding bikes and scooters around at variable speeds throughout the day so drive cars with caution!

Very nice, plenty of porterpotties, a couple of showers (you pay for them). The view is beautiful! Caught some fish off the cliff.

Awesome campground and worth the price. The cliffside spots are very windy, so bring extra stakes and tie downs, but overall even in the chilly mornings it was spectacular.

Beautiful view however dont plan on touching and water unless you hike about 15 mins and then scale down a 30 - 50 foot cliff. When we called they said they had beach camping....I guess we should have been a little more clear with what we consider beach camping. Will NOT ever go back!☹
