The Jenner Inn is as comfortable as it gets. The staff is extremely kind and warm. In addition, it's like staying in your own little luxury cottage. My family and I traveled there for vacation in February and were astounded not only by the breathtaking views, but also by the remoteness. While there is no cell service, you won't be yearning for it. If a quiet, relaxing, cozy place is what you're looking for this - this is the epitome of it. Also, there is a FANTASTIC coffee shop right down the street - best latte I have ever had. Be here or be square.

We had an excellent stay at Jenner Inn. We were in the Fort Ross suite, which does look old but adds a rustic vibe to that. First night of our stay the heater malfunctioned and we called the emergency number provided.Archer was really nice to put us up immediately in another available room that night. They guided us how to get there and we got lucky to have a river side Boat House room.Great service & people. Good for a quiet relaxing stay.Rooms: Rooms depending on which one you pick.Fort Ross is the only one with TV. Looks a little old but it’s well maintained.Boat House is newly renovated, with a bath tub and excellent view of the Russian riverFood & drinks: Nearby Aquatica Cafe server really good sandwiches and coffee with an outdoor patio overlooking therm riverDriving to Duncan Mills is short and lots of shops there to explore and eat at.Noteworthy details: Wi-Fi works pretty well across the Inn

It is a beautiful setting on the Russian river. We found that the television didn't work as it should. We went to the person we checked in with, who said he would come see what was wrong. He never showed up. We found rat poop on the carpet in different places. Not something you should find at a place that costs what it does.We found the breakfast bag that they give you to be belowthe quality of what you would expect from a place like this. The kitchen wasn't very well equipped. We had 2 spoons, 2 forks, and 2 knives. Glad that there was only 2 of us. Lighting in the kitchen is a joke. Also very few extra coffee pods and no way to clean the sink area, no sponge, etc.The sliding glass shower doors had no handles on them to open or close. Challenging with wet hands. Also there is a very strong smell of natural gas at the parking area. Could be dangerous, should be checked out. We won't be back. We stayed in the Monte Rio.

Very clean when we went in. Upon check in we were told that there was an ant problem and would I like to have some Windex to kill the ants with (?) I declined because I have not heard of this. We didn't see any ants so we went to dinner, came back and went to bed. I woke up to our bed full of ants and the kitchen counter covered in them (there was nothing left out because we went directly to bed upon our return). My purse was on the dresser and it was covered in them as well as the inside also. I just hope I got them all out ... For the price over $340 for 1 night we should not have had to deal with this problem.Very disappointed.Safety: Bathroom has a step down and in the middle of the night you tend to forget this and my husband almost broke his ankle. I twisted my ankle from the step down to the dining table. This is the 2nd house - gray - from the office.

My trip was a little too short. I love the lobby lounge area at the Jenner Inn, especially if you’re looking for a little social interaction and the cottages offer a great private deck. I stayed in Gray Whale & Pelican Inn. Both are great, but if you have the extra budget, having a kitchen was great! It’s also a lot of stairs, to most of the cottages but with that, you get a private home feel. Next trip, I’d like to try River restaurant but the Tasting room across from the general store is so fun! Live music and perfect hangout spot! Jenner Inn is a great getaway!! Take advantage of off season, less crowds are nice.

Gorgeous views from the Monte Rio room. The room was large as was the kitchen. For $500 + / night they could have had more amenities ( guests robes, for example). The second day the internet was down all day and the staff were not helpful. We had to stay in touch with family, so we skipped the second night.Food & drinks: Make sure you go to the River’s End restaurant. Terrific views and amazing food!

There were 44 steps up the hill to get in to the "Waterfall Cottage." Be advised, it's not good for people with asthma, bad joints or weak backs. You'll need to be in tip-top shape to haul your bags up. Reservations indicated check-in is between 4pm and 6pm. When we got there at 4:30, our room was not ready; and told to wait 30 minutes. (Another person arrived after 6pm, and couldn't get in since the Inn's office was closed.) In the cottage, views of the river (not the ocean) are limited. There's a small room off the main floor living room with a full bed, likely a converted parlor facing a locked, glass double door entryway. A set of narrow steps (more!) leads upstairs to a converted attic with 2 beds. There's a twin bed set against the wall, under the slanted roof ceiling where my friend bumped her head more than once. It was cold downstairs but hot up there. Each guest receives a bag with day-old muffin, a fruit and yogurt cup for breakfast. The restaurant is closed (looks permanent) but you'll need to go thru it to use the bathroom (after pleading for permission). Next time, we'll stay at the place up the street where I suspect promotional pictures were taken.

I walked in at 5:55p to book a room today. The lady at the desk told me she had rooms available, but she closes at 6 and she already shut down her computer, so she couldn't help me. She told me to drive back to Bodega Bay. She could have said all she had available was a $300 cottage and we'd have booked it. She knew I was panicked and still refused to help. The customer service leaves something to be desired and put a horrible taste in our mouth.

This place is wonderful! One reviewer said there is no wifi which is inaccurate! They have great wifi. But if that isn’t your thing, no need to use it.This place has class, elegance, and is an absolutely wonderful place to stay with amazing views. 5/5!

We paid $350/ night for a DUMP! The only redeeming quality was the view which was beautiful but the place is gross. Creaky, nails sticking out, exposed wood loft covered in spiderwebs, peeling paint, thermostat did not work, some lights didn’t work, drains made weird noises, very dirty couches. The bathroom was really gross, we even bought some throw away sandals to shower in their shower bc it had old dirty looking grout. Barf. We feel we got ripped off AND THEN, upon checkout, the weird landlady stalked us to make sure we were checking out and then to scold us about our dog which we OBVIOUSLY made sure to book a pet friendly room. She told us our room was not pet friendly, which is their fault since they asked us at check in if we had a dog and we said yes. So they’re idiots and slum lords and do not deserve your booking. Don’t do it.

No cell phone service. Does have Wi-Fi. Beds are not the cleanest, seen some black hairs and black specks of I don’t know what. Small stain on white pillow case. If you like old houses and the smell of a old house this is your place enjoy! For me I’d keep driving until I came to a civilized town. No places to eat here bring your own food.

Okay, so this is a hidden gem of cozy lodging. Not only did we enjoy the brilliant room with a spacious bathroom, but the service was second to none. We were presented with a breakfast box upon arrival, as we were departing early the next morning, but were also invited to spend some time in the common room well stocked with snacks, books and classic board games. Next time we plan on staying longer.

Wow. That's about all I can say. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with a view, this is it. It's a bit off the beaten path, but totally worth it. Not a ton of dining options, so check out what's in the area before you go. Expect to drive a little ways for more options, but for laidback beachcombing, hiking, kayaking, or just enjoying a welcome retreat with a view, this can't be beat. We were in the Starlight Room- I write for a living, and the desk set up was perfect. Comfortable with huge desk and the best view of the river ever. Love it.Rooms: So spacious, and the most comfortable bed I slept in during a 12 night road trip.Walkability: There aren't tons of dining options, but the ones that exist are walkable and have great views.

My wife and newborn daughter took a mid week trip to the coast for several days to escape the heat of the valley. This Inn was the perfect location to escape to! The staff were very accommodating, the room was wonderful, and our experience was delightful. The room was a little dated, but extremely cozy. We were able to cook meals in our suite, have privacy, and enjoyed our time overall! The room we stayed in (Fort Ross) had convenient parking directly in front, fantastic views of the river, and easy access to nearby beaches and restaurants. We will absolutely be returning here in the future for more enjoyable getaways!

The absolute best place that we ( my beautiful wife and I ) have stayed in our “ Road Trip “.After going the length of old Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica we headed up PCH AND 101 to Oregon and lucked out to have found this true hidden gem! I could have stayed forever!Absolutely awesome!Rooms: So very cozy and the backyard river full of geese was a nice touch,I want to go back and stay again. The people who are on staff were perfectly accommodating and as nice as can be.I would highly recommend the Jenner Inn to anyone who wants to get off of the hotel chains style of a stay over.

So we stayed here about 25 years ago and tried it again just over the June 10th weekend.I'm having a hard time recalling the details back 25 years ago, but I do remember it being a good experience, I remember the common area with port and chocolates. There was one young lady there working the front counter, she was nice. The place is quiet which was good. Now the bad. There were no amenities, no food, drinks…nothing and the restaurant appears to be out of operation and there is an application for alcohol on the front window, not even the port and chocolates. The only thing you're getting there is an overpriced $386.90 room. We stayed in the kayak room, it was ok. Well they did hand you a box breakfast which was ok, but that may be to make up for their no operating restaurant. The property was not well put together, a bit of a mess. Looks like they're under continual repair. Not as quaint and cozy as I remember. You can walk across the street and visit a small wine bar, but they closed early, probably since there was no one there.Perhaps the time of year was not a good time to visit, I can see how this could be fun with friends in the warmer late summer months. Just remember you're only getting a room, you need to bring all your drinks and food. There is a small restaurant nearby, but that fills fast.I think we're done with Jenner Inn. We have some good memories, so we’ll just hang on to those. Good luck to this location, I hope it improves.

The nicest amenity with the second floor suite we booked was the cool ocean breezes through the opened windows with the pleasing ocean salt air. And no other features that deserved the $600+ for two nights.. We had a view of the Russian River flowing past the picture window in the living room. The rooms however rate a one star, quite dated and worn. Once we had a look around, discovered an open attic with no wall above us that made the suite look very unfinished. A small kitchen that has some kind of hutch set on top of a wiggly base. The shower & sink we were provided one skimpy soap, and strangely enough only one coffee cup in the kitchen so we had to ask at the front desk for another. A breakfast box was provided with inedible muffins. And, their restaurant is closed. Overall a disappointing experience.

A charming place to escape to not far from San Francisco, the rooms are renovated and overlooking the Russian River while hidden in the woods.Check the Jenner Headlands favorite hikes and sunsets. My family and I, booked the River House that included a large kitchen and space for family dinners.Plus we discovered they have a great space for events in the back of the property!!

We stayed at the 'Pomo Creek House,' and it is a small house, for two weekday nights in July, and had a lovely time. There are two decks, take you pick, one with a better view of the Russian River. Two fireplaces, both work (gas). Two bathrooms! A full kitchen with all necessary cooking implements. Everything was spotless. Everything worked. A coffee shop and well-stocked convenience store (with a decent collection of wine) are across the street. On our last night the full moon shined spectacularly on the river. Jenner is on the coast, so come prepared with warm wraps for chilly evenings if you wish to enjoy the decks, or not, if you like fireplaces!

Wonderful location, comfortable space and really helpful manager. Reasonable price. A friend recommended Jenner and it's got some of the nicest hikes we've taken, within a 10 minute drive or in one case walking up the street by the hotel. The estuary is across the street and beautiful with tons of birds. It was lovely in December--can't imagine how lovely it would be in summer. Our room in Jenner Inn was great. Nice space--plenty of places for our stuff.. A little porch to sit out and watch the water. Wifi worked great as did Direct TV. We brought our own HDMI cable so we could plug in our computer to watch Netflix. Cafe Aquatica across the street has amazing food and the grocery store in the gas station is surprisingly well stocked. Great base for the wonderful hikes nearby. We also had a few days where we were socked in with a COVID scare, and Melanie, the manager was just so nice and helpful--lending us some dishes so we could eat in our room. We're going to come back to Jenner again and we'll definitely stay here.

Charming inn with a small family operated feel, comprised of several houses along the main strip. Given the different locations, make sure you have a good look at the room description and photos if you want a specific view. We chose the room with a view of the Russian River and it was a beautiful, serene stay. Rooms are a bit small, but comfortable for a couple. Look forward to coming back again!
