It's been a year since we moved here and I love shopping at dollar general. Prices are amazingly fair and the store is clean. Staff are Awesome and always willing to help. For such a small town, they pack a lot of great items in this store.

Really great selection for such a rural location. Janesville is growing rapidly. The people working are what you'd expect of a small town, friendly, professional, kind, and hard working. I was helped by Jessica, she made my experience so much better than just grabbing a few things, she had a sincere smile and although she was thorough and professional, she kept me feeling like an old friend rather than just another customer. Definitely top quality upper management material. The location was clean, had a great variety of goods at low prices, and all the gift cards I needed. Walmart does not carry Amazon gift cards, but Dollar General does :)Way to go DG!

I try and always support small business first before supporting a corporate chain but in the case of having Dollar General in Janesville, i'm glad it's here. Sometimes a drive to Susanville for basic items is just overkill. I travel to town probably 2 times a month so having a local store might be helpful for me depending on whether or not the store has what I am looking to purchase, of course.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any retail store. They rang up $16.80 of a $57.00 purchase, got no receipt and held up the sale claiming it didn't go thru. I checked online and it showed the sale did come out of my account. By the time they were through I couldn't pay the balance with cash, check or credit card. By this time we had spent 45 minutes on the transaction and a customer behind us had to continue waiting. Also, they were closing and they wanted us wait outside untill the boss got there. It was a brisk 32 degrees outside. We had already loaded the merchandise. My partner told them he was not going to wait in the cold and we'd be back in the morning. He told my partner we could not leave. Partner told him "watch me".N

I love visiting Dollar Generals where ever I go and this one was cute! Lots of inexpensive holiday decor and a friendly cashier!
