I've been a supporter of Tri County Wildlife for a couple of years. I've also done a bit of volunteer work at the Center. I can truly say I've never met a more caring, hardworking, selfless, dedicated group of folks in my life. In addition to rescuing and rehabilitating a huge variety of wild creatures in a very large geographical area, Tri County WIldlife also puts a strong emphasis on education so that people know what to do when they find an injured wild animal, and how to support our ecosystem and the creatures in it. Each of these wildlife rehab specialists and volunteers could be doing something else that's easier and not as heart wrenching--I've seen them all break down in tears when they lose one of these precious creatures--but they choose to put their heart and soul into their work. They need our support and encouragement as they work hard to keep our wild ones free. As the director, Susan Manning always says in education presentations, "Saving wildlife saves us." Thank you, Tri County Wildlife, for saving lives every single day. You are amazing and give me hope for a beautiful and wild future for our planet.

They were great. We had an abandoned baby Red Tail Hawk in our back yard. We called them and they asked us to deliver it to them. Very friendly and caring. They were very knowledgeable about the baby hawk. I was very pleased with them

I found an injured bird in the Raley's parking lot in Galt on Twin Cities Road. I phoned TCWC and was told to bring the bird to them. I used my phone's GPS to find them and arrived in 40 minutes. The staff was so kind. They have lots of kittens that need foster. I'm thankful that they do the rescue work that is so needed.

Tri County took a baby dove that I found and then they let me know when it was released. I think they do a great job and wildlife care is much needed.

I volunteered there for the first time today. It was a great experience helping the little birds. The purpose of Tri county is to rehabilitate injured wildlife so the animals can be set free healthy and happy. I highly recommend donating to and volunteering for this organization.

Anyone who works for this rehabilitation center should be noticed for how hard working and dedicated they are. Rehabilitation is hard and grueling work, not for the faint of heart, and should only be done by those with trained experience. Each person here has that and more, and I have found the knowledge behind those who work here exceptional. The animals they care for truly are loved, and their mission in life is to educate those who care for animals HOW to care for them, whether they are rehabbers or compassionate people who find animals in need. This facility is so necessary and so greatly appreciated by fellow animal lovers such as me.

Unfortunately a wild Turkey with an injured leg evidently cannot be aided by TCWC - apparently he has to endure because there is nothing that can be done for their type of bone-structure. But he is well-fed & watered - I feed the wild birds from a well-stocked feeder & have a clean-water filled bird-bath for them to drink from. He comes daily - & albeit on his own since he limps very badly, he now has a safe 'watering- hole' & is very welcome!God bless you who give your time & expertise to wild creatures of all kinds! Thank you!

I love it and I love volunteering there. Tri-County really captures my heart. What they do is Above & Beyond animal rescue. It is nurturing and making animals healthy again so they can go back to the wild and be free as they should bešŸ’–šŸ’–

I found a raven with a compound fracture on his wing over a weekend. They were not there to accept him when I found him. Which is not good for a bird with a broken wing. When they were there they couldn't muster anybody up to collect him. So I spent four days nursing and loving this bird back to health. He/she was one of the smartest birds I've ever met in my life, and I truly loved this animal. This bird, I named popcorn, actually picked up a spoon and handed it to me when it was thirsty. It learned that, because I would use the spoon to give it water. When I brought popcorn in I made it very clear that I wanted to be kept in touch with. The girl that accepted him at the center was not very friendly...I will leave her unnamed. I was never contacted again. They euthanized him without calling me or asking me any questions! I only know because I called over and over before I got a person to answer. As a person that has rehabilitated many animals in retrospect I would've taken him to a real vet, and gave him a good life. Ravens are one of the most intelligent birds in the world. He could've been used for school students understanding, or I could've rehabilitation hi/her myself. Apparently, they don't care. In the future I will never bring an animal to this facility. I will pay privately take care of the animal myself. If you actually get to a point where you are considering bringing an animal there then you care about animals. This is not the place for you.

Unfortunately I just had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a place that should care for animals. This place does not care at all. The lady that I was dealing with was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. I saw that a nest had fallen out of an tree so I looked inside and it had four eggs in side. I took them into this ā€œ wildlife careā€ thinking they could help the unhatched eggs but they didn't help me at all. They actually threw the nest and the eggs away the second they saw them without a second glance, saying that they couldn’t do anything. I asked if I could just have them back because I know a neighbor who has her own bird sanctuary, but they didn’t care to hear about the alternative solutions to help the eggs. Instead they asked for all the information of my neighbor which I have no consent of giving out. If I knew that they were just gonna throw away a life that I could save I would never had gone here. I’m never gonna come here again.

In my experience with TCWC, I have seen compassionate and dedicated volunteers care for the sick and injured as though they are their own. Its a treasured miracle to have the opportunity to care for these animals and release them back into the wild. Sometimes the extent of their injuries or illness prevent them for that, but they have been given the best possible care and every chance of a return to the wild where they belong. If every sick or injured animal was brought immediately here, perhaps more of them could survive. You guys are the best, and your long hours and dedication shows!!

I found a fawn in my yard. Long story short - in two calls the condition of the fawn was not considered. I was told to wait the night for mom to return and take the fawn in the next morning if still there. I asked for help on a FB page. Rehabbers saw the pictures/videos and said the fawn was very weak in my first video right when I found him/her. They could tell by the cry and the fur that mom had not been around for at least 2 days. I followed the careful instruction from a rehabber on the FB page. I saw the sweet baby perk up for a short time but then quickly reversed until passing. I feel the fawn had a chance if I had helped sooner. Even if not, I could have made him/her more comfortable sooner rather than leaving in the sun on a day that was over 100 degrees. My wildlife questions will go to the Wildlife group on FB who were much more helpful not only while I tried to save the sweet little baby, but since the passing. The advice I received from this wildlife center was really poor and I will carry the guilt and remorse for not following my heart forever. I will not call ever again and will recommend nobody else calls, either. šŸ’”Response to your reply - When I called at 3pm I was asked if I would transport. I said I would!! I was told she would call me back. I said I would get a crate in the car and be ready. I got the car ready with a large dog crate, had a blanket ready to wrap the fawn in to carry to the car, I prepared my mom (she has Alzheimer’s) for the drive. Almost 2 hours later I hadn’t heard back so I called again. The woman who answered could find no record of my previous call. Nothing. She apologized and said she looked everywhere. She took my name, number and address (none was taken the first call, I thought my number appeared when I called so that would be how she would call me back). She said the person who knows fawns would call me back. I did get a quick return call this time. She told me to leave the fawn. My concerns about the breathing (panting), super skinny, crinkled ears, and not sleeping in a ball but rather a U shape were not really addressed. I was told Mom would likely return when it got dark and to be sure my dogs wouldn’t scare her away. I said that was no problem. I then went back to FB and followed the advice of rehabbers because I could tell this fawn was suffering. A little before 9pm … 6 hours after my initial call … I received a text asking for pictures. I didn’t reply right away because that is when I could tell the fawn was dying but I was still trying to comfort him/her. I don’t appreciate the focus on transport when I had said I would. I learned a whole lot from the Wildlife group on FB. Mistakes were made. Those mistakes may have cost the life of this precious fawn. Please learn from those mistakes.

Teddy Flory's heart for animals shines in every case she takes on. She puts the welfare of the animals first in every situation, whether it pleases humans or not. Tri-County Wildlife is an excellent resource that deserves our support financially and personally.
