This petco automatically receives one star from me for keeping their aquatic turtles in disgusting conditions. This tank has clearly not been cleaned in AT LEAST one week, evident from the abundance of algae and fecal matter in the water. The comical sign in front of the tank touting that they "put their animals first" is the cherry on top. Stop abusing the animals.

I went in to get a Breeze litter box for my cat. The product review stated some issues with urine leaking between the top and bottom around the hinges so I wanted to see if person how that area was made before buying. I took the boxed item to the register and asked to open the box so I could see it and was told NO. Another associate nearby said I could not open it without buying it first. I explained my reasoning and it would have been easy to cut the tape without damaging it but again was told I would have to buy it and then return it if I didn't want it. This is absurd!!!. They regularly put retured products with damaged packaging back on the shelf to sell. This box could have been opened without damaging it if they had been willing. BAD Business!!!! PetSmart doesn't act like that neither does Walmart.

This review is for the Vetco section only. I brought my cat to have her anal glands relieved and when I picked her up the liquid was all over her bottom and her hind legs. If anyone has smelt this smell you know how atrocious it is. It is also oily and has caked to her fur. It's been a week of trying to get it off to no avail. I will never bring my cat here and warn everyone to avoid this place at all costs. They will take your money gladly and provide the bare minimum of service.

Rushed to this store at 6:58pm. Theres a guy at the door told me they are closing in 2 mins. Told him I just wanted to get some pet food real fast.After wait in line. Register guy told me they cant sell any crickets anymore due to closing. I guess the guy was a manager at front named Dave. Hes the man. Why not make a big sign telling everyone about the store policy !!!!

I was denied my grooming appointment. Because my dogs nails didnt get trimmed - he damaged one the next day and it required a $300 vet visit. My dog did not get groomed. I was treated rudely. My birthday was on the 17th and my dog was not clean. Teeth not brushed. No cute gingerbread bandana. and he didnt smell like a cookie. The worse was the ENTIRE experience. I actually cried.

Paid for nail clipping, nail buffing, and teeth cleaning. My dog's nails were clipped and that was it. Normally Petco does a great job so it might just be this location.

Person was gone getting crickets for so long with no one else available to ring people up and when I told another employee that there was some dog poop on the floor in the back they said they'd get someone to get it but I never saw anyone get it

This is the third time where I’ve ordered dog food canidae online for pick up where the bag given to me at pick up is around a year expired. This is not isolated to this location it’s happened with a couple delivery and other pick up locations. I’ve gotten so used to it now i check before leaving and thankfully saw that the bag i was just given expired over a year ago. When i told the the attendant she responded initially with “no those are all new” when it was printed right on the bag. Thankfully she came over and saw and exchanged the bag. I’m only leaving a bad review, as i hate doing so, as this has been the reason why my dog has gotten sick a few times.

This Petco’s service sucks! IF there is a person up front to check you out, it will take forever. There was an employee’s child behind the register’s today playing and running around which was irritating. I have picked up multiple cans of cat food and almost everytime I finally get checked out they tell me “o we can’t sell you this one”- then why are they out on the shelves??? Please make this Petco better with more staff, helpful staff, better inventory, and no children behind the counters

My golden doodle is hyper but loves people sweet. Rarely barks at home and when I give her a bath she is still as a statue.Went in for grooming the other day.. while waiting to check-in, a groomer was calling one of the dog’s owner telling them to pick the dog up right now because the dog won’t let them wash and being really ‘mouthy’ meaning biting and won’t stop barking. I didn’t think much of it until she was checking me in saying my goldendoodle has a record of being biting, fighting at another petco location. I couldn’t remember at that moment but I remembered after that I had her shaved paying $110+tip at a different location. I thought it was a good experience because the groomer there was nice and just said my dog was cute! Ears were clean everything else was good so I had a good impression. But obviously she left a note in my dog’s file saying all that. ?Anyway, so the groomer says ‘if she behaves this way again, as you saw me calling the other person, I will call you and you’ll have to pick her up right away’ making me feel like my dog is ‘bad’ and troublesome to them. But needed it to be done so badly, I sent my dog in crossing my fingers.So for next hours while doing my daily routines, I couldn’t take my eyes off my phone. Making me anxious that my dog might be coming home half washed. Two hours later I got a call! I answered right away thinking something is wrong. But it was a call saying ready for pickup. When I got there, my dog was barking non stop just like the other dog earlier… I thought that was weird… maybe something or someone in there is making some dogs really uncomfortable? So I asked the groomer how my dog was.. she went on abt how she couldn’t do something because dog was moving alot and fighting her blah blah and for conclusion that we should take the dog to another location or where they can sedate her… because apparently my dog is so ‘bad’ with groomers! So I thought that my dog would comeout half cut or nothing done or looking horrible. To my surprise tho, she did an awesome job!!… thus the stars. My dog came home and rested peacefully all day while looking cute.. (:My experience here: very iffy and unsettling. I will not be returning to any Petco locations for any of my dogs’ grooming.I don’t like to post reviews but this had to be done.

Finally they have someone who knows what they are doing at the aquarium section. The aquarium in this location used to look so sad. Dirty tank, dead fish, low or out of stock on anything below average selection just to name a few. Which lead me to either go to Tustin or Orange location or PetSmart at Market Place. But not any more. I went in a few Saturday ago and saw a young lady with purple or blue hair doing water changes. I immediately notice how much nicer the tank looks. I spoke with her and found out she was recently transferred from another store because this location apparently has been missing an aquatic person for a long time which explains a lot. I complimented her on how nice the tanks look and told her I am glad she is here now. Good job girl!!!

Love driving 20 minutes just to find out that they’re sold out of flea combs, something that any decent pet store should always have in stock. Turns out that this is a recurring issue and they’re always sold out of them. Lots of empty shelves and stocking issues. Very nice employees here, but Petco as a company is so ridiculously incompetent.

The worst experience I’ve ever had,They just take the money and don’t care anything else.They hot my puppy tested and closed the door and 5 days after they called me that your puppy was tested positive for Giardia😳.Puppy had diarrhea for all the weekend and they had test results after 24 hours but called me back after 5 days

Petco is awesome!! Not only do they have a terrific and huge store at this location but they hold adoption events for local rescues. This is such a great way to get our neglected and unwanted dogs and cats adopted. I just love that Petco is such a huge proponent of this!

Staff were very professional and courteous! From Admitting staff who checked us in, to the vet tech who attended to my dog Coco. The vet doctor Dr. Kelly is trustworthy about her diagnosis and recommendations. Very satisfied customer. Highly recommended vet place.

BAD GROOMER!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING! My dog has been with Petco for years and this is the first time I took him to this location because we had to move. The groomer name Jennifer did not completely dry my dog when I specified in the phone asking is my dog completely dried. She had a really BAD ATTITUDE when I talk to her about this issue. When I mentioned he was washed perfectly at another location she even said “Then take him elsewhere!” and gave me the look. When I speak to the assistant manager about his he also had no idea how to work with the system and tell me to wait at the counter for over half an hour. Do not come here. NOT THE SERVICE YOU DESERVE.
