Ace Hardware what can I say most of them are individually owned family owned what some might call a Ma and Pops place. They serve individual communities and are staple in many. Not like the huge change stores that most people patronize. I myself would much rather give my money to a family into a corporation and sure it might be cheaper at the corporations owned stores but when you figure in the gas to get there and the time out of your day to go there why not give it to the individual families and the employees that work at such places they're more personal in my opinion and if they do not have what you're looking for they could probably order it if you ask. So I feel people should start patronizing individually owned stores opposed to Big corporations I just my opinion you're going to do what you want but just maybe give that idea a little thought. Keep the money local.

Broken lock on my RV. Hard to find and so it would have to be special ordered. A few minutes in the back with a vice and finesse and Steve fixed it. Awesome customer service. ADA access ramp is to the left of front door and as far as the lay-out no corners to get trapped in or stuck down. Great staff greated me with big smiles. Lots of great product for a small town. Lots of parking close to the store fro RV and trailer towed parking.

It's a sad day for me. I've been going to this hardware store for more than 25 years. I will no longer be shopping at my hometown store and I love to shop local. You would think keeping a long time customer happy would be more important than $17.99. I bought one of those yard misters to keep my chickens cool. We didn't end up needing it yet and I went to use it this morning. There was no black rubber gasket inside the female fitting the way there was supposed to be and it was missing one of the brass fittings that are used to create the Mist. It's no good without the brass fitting in it. I was asked if there was covers over any of these parts. No there was not and that leads me to believe that these pieces were missing when I bought them and they will do nothing about it.

Went to Lowes in Jackson didn't have the water heater pressure valve I needed and no one with the knowledge to answer my questions, drove to Ace the employee who helped knew he's stuff and help me gather everything I needed in less then 5 minutes. Thank you sr. 👍

A little pricey but the 2 young men were very helpful and accommodating even though i was very late. Dont by the Ace brand paint, you will be sorry.

It's an out of the way gem. Staff was extremely helpful and polite. They had what I needed to help me finish my project. One thing I do like about this ACE is that it's very close to my home. Just a few blocks away.

Your website says masks are required (currently state law). I was just there and wearing a mask. The person to whom I gave my $42.00 shower head purchase was not. I asked him about this and he said he didn't wear one. I left without buying.

I was thoroughly disappointed that no one at this store were wearing masks. Haven't you heard that even though you may be vaccinated, you can still be a carrier? Put your masks on folks!

Friendly staff. Well stocked. Propane prices are market value and cheaper than most places in county. Prices higher than a warehouse hardware store but worth giving to a locally owned business. Fair rental prices on equipment.

Would give zero stars but you have to give at least one star to give a review. I literally left this place crying hysterically and empty handed because this man claiming to be the manager was so mean. Let me start from the beginning. I was trying to clean my turtle tank and I needed a conververter piece to connect a garden hose to my bathroom sink (in an emergency while I wait for a repair)and the guy in front at the register referred me to another who I explained I didnt know what the piece was called but what it did. He knew exactly what I wanted and said right this way but for some reason referred me to another guy who I then had to try to explain the piece to again. Well this guy had no idea what I was talking about and just walked up front to the other guy more information from him and I asked if that guy could please please just help since the other guy had no idea what the f××k I was talking about. I was begging the guy to help me and that guy walked me right to where I needed to be and the other guy followed over there and said well if people knew what they were talking about when they came in to buy stuff he wouldn't have to guess. I then told him that I lead with the fact that I didnt know what it was called but the other guy did and he was just rude for no reason. Then I asked to speak to a manager and the very rude one said he was the manager there was no one above him to complain to and I couldn't make a complaint because I was cussing all over the store. Then he proceeded to tell me that they didnt have to help me and that they weren't going to help me and that I needed to leave. So I left immediately in tears just blown away that I couldn't purchase the piece I needed because I had told someone they didnt know what the fxxk I'm talking about. I'm sure I'm not the first person to say the f word in a stressful situation but having to beg for help and then having the manager ask me to leave. God knows why anyone that can't handle one bad word or unbiasedly take a complaint even if it is about them would get to be manager in charge of somewhere. That just blows my mind how mean these people are and then I had to get in the car and explain to my 2 preteen boys who were waiting in the car that I couldn't get the piece we needed for their pets to clean their tank and why I was crying. It was a very disrespectful and humiliating shopping experience. I will never go to this place again

Went in there to purchase stucco they only had one 40 lb bag a little disappointing to drive all that way for one little bag of Stucco so I had to drive to Valley Springs where they have lots of Stucco the place was clean the staff was helpful would be nice if they stocked more merchandise especially something like stucco

now here's a place in a little town that has everything that you need for gardening and tools that you need for just about anything that is a free your home a one-stop-shop place for just about everything you need when it comes to the hardware and gardening and a very knowledgeable staff and very nice people that work there you can tell that they're not there just for the job if they enjoy themselves while they're working and they enjoy helping their customers great customer service thank you I owned Ace hardware

I rented an auger from Ione Hardware in April. The helped me fast, the machine accomplished the mission and I didn't have to drive to Folsom. Even better, the prices was lower than the orange place in Folsom. Ron, Jason, the three young guys in the afternoon and the young lady that did my paperwork, made it easy to get a tough job done.The job was 13 post holes in rock and hard pan. I didn't expect to tow the auger, but in the end big was just what the job needed and access allowed. The machine had a Honda motor and started with one half pull.This is clearly the place in Amador county if you want to rent the right tool without driving to Folsom. Looks like they have a little cement factory in the back too.Thanks Ione Hardware. Locally owned stores rock. I like shopping Ace anyway. Sometimes you pay a bit more, but the money stays closer to the community. That is especially the case in small towns.J Wood
