We love staying at Dancing Coyote Beach Cottages, it is so serene and calm to be right by the bay. There are incredible views of the bay and the garden from the cottages. The kitchen has all the essentials. It is a place we look forward to coming back to. And, they take great care of the place and prepare a wonderful fireplace to stay cozy in the evening. Plus, during our last visit there was a full moon and it was so awe-inspiring to see the moonlight over the bay. Thank you, Dancing Coyote Beach Cottages!

Perfect Location, Cozy Rooms, Wonderful ManagementThis location doesn't get much better. It is right on the shore, you can watch the tide move in and move out throughout your stay. The grounds are gardened wonderfully, and there's plenty of sturdy seating for those wanting to lounge around.A little drive up the road, and there's enough hiking to keep the most adventurous happy for days.Less than 500' away is a wonderful restaurant, the Saltwater Oyster Depot.Point Reyes Shipwreck is within a rocks throw of the site.It gets a little cold at night, but each cottage has extra blankets and heaters. Check for Spare the Air days, but if you can, a fire makes the cottage cozy and night. The kitchens are functional and provide enough space to make eggs in the morning or a meal for lunch. The fridges are small, so don't expect storing much food, enough for a meal. The interior could use a coat of paint, or some TLC with spills or stains, but it is charming and the important parts feel very clean. The management is wonderful and responsive, taking care to make sure all request were adhered to and that our stay was perfect. We will gladly come here again.

Nicely appointed cottages (two are dog friendly!) on a private beach. The cottage was extremely cozy and clean, and the fridge was stocked with local goodies like eggs, yogurt and granola. We loved the balcony that overlooked the gardens and communal deck on the bay and the private patio in the back overlooking the Point Reyes SS shipwreck. A really special place, we cannot wait to return.

We have stayed at Dancing Coyote many times over the years and have loved it. The included breakfast items are the best and much appreciated. I am giving a 4 star mostly because we have decided that this is not the best place to stay in winter. The cabins are not so well insulated and the heater doesn’t always heat both floors of the unit. The addition of a fireplace is essential but many times a Spare the Air Day is declared and you can’t use it. This last visit in December was just too cold for us without a fireplace. We will limit our visits to warmer months in the future.

Very cute small cottages with most basic supplies provided. We loved the small kitchen and especially the fireplace! Very cozy for an overnight trip to visit the area with our dog.

A very cool place to stay, especially off-season and mid-week when it's sublimely serene, and prices drop considerably. Have spent maybe 9-10 nights here over the years. Only 4 cottages to choose from: 1 big, 1 small, 2 medium. If it's just you or a couple, then try the small one. Make tea, sit by the fire. Then go for a walk on the beach.

We had an incredible weekend at Coyote Beach in the Acacia cottage. The cottage itself is very cute and cozy, it might be a little tight for 4 adults but for a couple plus a dog it was fantastic. The location is ideal for exploring Point Reyes, very close drive to the town and walkable to the general store, Saltwater Oyster Depot and Vlad's. The other cottages had guests but we barely noticed. The shared seating areas were almost always empty and we could always hang out on one of two of our private patios.

We are currently still guests at the cabins but they are great! Fresh eggs for breakfast and got to watch folks kite boarding.

This was the most enjoyable vacation I"ve ever taken. I stayed in the small cottage and it was comfortable, clean and charming. While there, it was easy access to everything I wanted and needed. There was a charming diner in walking distance for dinner or lunch. The breakfast food they keep in stock was delicious and filling. Great hiking in the Tulle Elk reserve and kayaking in Tomales Bay or I sat on the beach in a covered, heated chair and drank my coffee and read while enjoying the view. The outdoor shower was wonderful.

Wooden cottage on the beach. Very friendly welcome (organic products offered by the owners). Beautiful outdoor terrace with a view of the beach. Very good base for visiting Point Reyes.
