Great contemporary cottage & proximity to national park! Great beds & little kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave, frig, toaster, etc. Electric fireplace can heat up the room fast. Hot tub outside! Clean & nice decor & comfy furnishings. WiFi & TV. King & 2 twin beds were perfect for us. Web photos & descriptions are accurate. And, hang on kids, it has a landline phone in room--awesome, right? Show your friends!Close to Point Reyes national park where one may hike & see the sea lions, elk, deer, cows, warblers, red tail hawks, interesting geology, etc. Wear good hiking shoes/boots for the hilly trails & unpaved stretches. After hours of hiking, returning to the comfy cottage felt great. One caveat--you need good mobility & eye sight when nearing cottage. If you were to need a cane or other aides, there are uneven paths to cottage entrances, then stairs. Take a flashlight after dark.Rooms: Great beds & bedroom. Nice furnishings. Clean modern bathroom, tub/shower. As stated above.Nearby activities: National Park is a short drive away. Saw packs of mountain bikers braving the narrow, curvy roads so bring your bike & burn those quads. Better to go in a group.

It is a nice place. Our experience was turned upside down when nightly sounds prevented us from sleeping. There is no insulation and you have 4 rooms packed in one cottage. I'll say it's also the land of "there is a rule for everything" to the point that I'd always wonder: what am I doing wrong now? I wouldn't recommend personally as a good night sleep matters to me. Read other's reviews though.

This place is magical. The vibes are immaculate. When we arrived, signs declared our family safe and welcomed. We ventured out in all directions and experienced beach, bay, estuary, forests, rolling hills, and tule elk, all within 20 minutes drive or so.The cottages were cozy, the pool was warm, and the babbling creek was mesmerizing. We especially enjoyed the lovingly tended rare trees on the grounds, and the blooming jasmine and lavender scenting our approach.Just gorgeous. We will be back!Noteworthy details: If you plan to kayak or paddle Tomales Bay, this is an excellent place to stay. Launch from Chicken Ranch Beach, across the street.

Very cozy, lovely stay. Very quiet, surrounded by nature. Beautiful close beaches, close to Tamales Bay. Close to Hogs Bay where you can get the best oysters. A great get away from noise, traffic and fast paced life. Nice pool and soaking hot tub. Don’t expect the Ritz. It has all the comforts of home.

My husband and two year old son love staying here. The rooms are cozy and there is a great yard with trees and grass for kids to run around and play.Nearby activities: Super close to town and to all the amazing nature of Pt. Reyes

Tldr: lumpy beds, great location, family friendly---Pros:I loved the location! There are two very family friendly beaches close to the hotel, so it's easy to have an extra outing every day to keep kids entertained. It's also a short drive to the main attractions in the area. The grounds also have tennis courts, a pool, and plenty of room to run around. The cottage itself has everything you want: a basic kitchenette, room for the kids, a cute little fire place.Cons:Unfortunately, the beds were extremely lumpy. My husband mentioned it the first night as we got in the bed, and I rolled my eyes. I was humbled the next morning. My neck hurt all day, which was lame since we had planned a hike. My husband didn't fare much better with a sore back. This place was awesome, but the beds were a deal breaker. The housekeeping was also a little lacking. The room was clean enough when we got there, but there was some...stuff left on the toilet seat from the previous occupants.

Wonderful little placeClean, cozy, has a little kitchen. The grounds are beautiful. They even have a little library with books, games, sports equipment and towels for your dog! Seasonal pool and hot tub. Close to everything! Will definitely come back.

Do not let the comforters(bird themed) fool you! This property is absolutely gorgeous. Your basically renting a tiny condo with a private outside patio, good kitchenette, gas fireplace, pool, hot tub and absolutely stunning grounds. They even provide a shed full of games to play inside or outside. Room was very clean. Staff was great(contactless). Good info sitting in a book on the table. I’ve stayed in many rooms, 2 star to 5 star and honestly, this property is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. I will be coming back!

Been coming here for years. The location is great, room decor is nice. This time we had to look at covid and other political signage every time we came and went. Personally I go on vaca to get away from all of this stuff. To us it's a turn off whether we agree or disagree with the comments is irrelevant. I don't want to see this stuff period! Another thing there was no maid service and given the price is the same not so good. Coffee maker needed cleaning before use. Picture on the wall was peeling off its backing. I realize the jacuzzi is only being used as a hot tub but that could be fixed. Not sure we will return after this time. I give service 1 star for I was given 1 roll of TP by the owner after we ran out.

Pros:Friendly staffAttractive grounds- grass, plants, fountain, pool.Clean roomsPoint Reyes is beautiful.Close to beaches and good food. Not too far from the lighthouse.Cons:The second most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in.The stairs to the upstairs sleeping area were ridiculously steep and, in my opinion, not safe for younger children.Windows next to stairs were single pane, untempered, not very safe.Upstairs sleeping area had uncovered windows that provided no privacy, if you were tall you would hit your head on low beams. No comfortable seating. Hard beds, hard wooden chairs. Wasn't comfortable once during my three day stay.Property is dog friendly and not all dog owners are responsible. Watch out for doggy land mines. Tracked some in my room and spent 15 minutes on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor.

This is a great place to stay for access to Pt Reyes seashore, Tomales Bay and Pt Reyes Station. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. There is a basic kitchen, including a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and range of utensils. The grounds are very pretty, and the place feels quiet, private, and well cared for.

Lovely, peaceful place with excellent access to Point Reyes National Seashore. Came in late at night after our first lodging was accidently double booked and all the campsites were filled for 30 miles. Host was gracious and met us late at night with instructions for getting in. We stayed in number 18; it was much more than two people needed but we were grateful that we had somewhere to stay! It ended up being one of the most peaceful evenings we had on the coast...The cottages are well appointed, clean and have everything you need for an extended stay or a luxurious secluded weekend. The grounds are nicely landscaped and the flowers add a delightful fragrance when you are walking around the property. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and pleasant place. Great location with beautiful views. Cellphone reception is poor to nothing and internet is also slow, however it was not an issue to us since we wanted to unplug. We had three complaints though. First the hot water faucet was defective. It gave us real hard time making it difficult to adjust water temperature and flow. Second the kitchen sink drain was slow, I mean really slow. They need to service it. And third we specifically asked for pet free room, however instead we got a pet friendly room. This was significant to us since my one year old daughter is allergic to cats.

LOVE this place. Clean, well organized, attention to the little things (motion sensor night lights, flashlights for walking the nature trail, pool and hot tub, excellent welcome manual with all questioned answered, beautiful views, great kitchenette, game shed). Also right in point reyes to get out and enjoy the hiking/biking/walking in a BEAUTIFUL area. Already planning to come back this summer!

The new owners have done an amazing job with nice roomy, clean cottages in and piecful environment. The layout of the facility is perfect relaxing poolside or hanging out in the hot tub and and getting work done while watching osprey birds with their high perched nests soaring throughout the day. Thank you for an outstanding first stay. Looking forward to our next return.

Quiet, pretty conveniently located for lots of hiking and wildlife viewing opportunity. Hosts who care and whom put together the most amazing book of history and information on the area and is available in every cottage. Great spot that is run with obvious love and effort.

I was amazed with the kindness of Aracella upon check in and then the room itself...it was so inviting with the drapes open and the lights on. The decor and cleanliness spoke of rest and relaxation. The cottages are well-spaced and the grounds are spacious and out-doorsy and family oriented. Absolutely the best when you need a get-away!

Fantastic Cabin! We stayed for 2 nights. The stay was really good. The heat was provided by a gas stove. The amenities was just right. The cabin was well kept and surprisingly spacious. The kitchen was very nice. Check in and check out were a breeze. We loved it!

So when we booked the room we reserved a dog friendly room. James was very helpful on the phone and gave us a discounted rate since I'm military. He was having some technical problem putting our reservation in the computer so he waived the pet fee as well. I called a few days later to confirm our reservation. The owner answered the phone and sounded like I was bothering him. When we got there the owners wife was also very short with us. Then came to room to asking why we had our dog in the room. I explained to her that we had that room reserved with our dog. She then reinstated the dog fee even though I explained that James took it off earlier. The cottage was nice and the area was great. But, the customer should suffer because the employees dont know how to communicate properly.

Quiet, peaceful, secluded. Well operated. I appreciated the dog friendly rooms. The trail, fenced dog run, and landscaped areas are great. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Stayed for two nights while visiting Point Reyes National Seashore in 2014. The location is fantastic for exploring all the areas of the park. The cottages are comfortable and clean, and each has a deck to enjoy.

Location nice; clean yes, but housekeeping just emptied bin and did not clean; manual outdated (eg mentions non existent gas heating); wifi slow and unstable on all our devices and no network on t-mobile either; beds for 3, but only 2 chairs; a bit run-down feeling and equipment/bath out-dated; clearly overpriced for what we got; 2-3 stars

Wow this place is adorable, peaceful and quaint. It's in the Point Reyes National Forest and there is so many things to do including bird watching, if you're in the right season whale watching, hiking and beaching and so much more.

The layout of the room was strange. The 'front door' was a sliding glass door on the deck. Living and dining area was in the room with the king bed. The smaller bedroom was very loud when other people were awkwake in the unit. The WiFi cut in and out.
