All of the staff here are absolutely amazing. They're very knowledgeable on farm animals and the supplies they have are at great prices. Even if you don't have farm animals, a lot of the supplies they have work well for other types of pets you may have (e.g., hamsters, reptiles, etc).

Drove 40 minutes to purchase something here on Christmas because their business page said they were open and it was the only feed store supposedly open today. Arrived to find lighted open sign on the door flashing "open" but locked door. Please update your Google business page when you are closed so you don't waste people's time.

Was pleased to have found this place. Has everything my 2 cats need and love. I shop here for my grandmother's pup as well. First time I visited I had just moved back into the area and had an awesome conversation with one of the owners. Was glad to find out they weren't a company that required the jab or senseless face diapers for their employees, given all the ones that caved in and made it "mandatory" because of covid. Everyone's super kind and helpful here, great environment all around!

The service is great, pricing is fair. I don't recommend buying any livestock from here. I bought 4 turkeys from here. One was sprayed with dye , it's not doing well and will most likely not survive . I called and they did not care, did not offer return or exchange. At least other feed stores and tractor supply give you exchange or returns. Especially knowing the bird was not doing well to begin with. They asked me to separate from the other 3. If you knew the bird wasn't doing well why would you sell it ?

Have been shopping here since I was 12. Through 3 owners I believe. The current ones are wonderful. And George is hysterical,knowledgeable, and helpful.My dogs and pig all love their trips to this one and their palm springs location.They have grown over the years and I am almost always able to find my clients amazing products here as well as the foods and treats for all the animals on our "farm".The took the concept of old school customer service combined it with a feed store and added a dash of modern products and accessibility.

Place is amazing. Can tell who I am by my voice over the phone. The owner takes time to get to know every customer who comes through the door. You cant find a place more knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Desert Feed Bag!

Wonderful staff! And they have every thing you need. The prices are great, I buy a bale of Timothy hay for 25$ and a 25lb bag of bunny pellets for 10$ (which is a steal compared to pet store prices). Dog food is a little expensive but the quality of the food is unparalleled compared to commercially popular brands. I 100% recommend if you have an "exotic" pet or you want better quality dog food

Staff are so attentive to all my supply needs from duck food to horse snacks and cat toys - they know their stuff and have never let me down on a recommendation. They even told me to drive safely and not to rush when I called to make sure they would be open until 6pm because I had left work late -- and they waited for me! Staff is superb!

It's not just for livestock, they carry a variety of dog, cat & bird supplies! What a great local business 👍👍and the owners are just the kind of folks you'd hope to find working there too. I stopped in looking for an unusual piece of dog gear and even though they didn't carry it, my time was not wasted. They had a few other things I had been looking for and the owner took time to chat and get to know me as a new customer. They even have a Community Board where locals can post flyers, notices and I was allowed to put a couple of my business card up too. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by even if just to see the cute bunnies in the middle of the store. 🐾🐇💕🐶💕🐇🐾

Great service, friendly staff, they have events of teeth cleaning for dogs, spay and neuter, vaccination and more.They sell exotic birds and baby chicks, as well as everything to take care of all of your pets needs.

I LOVE Desert Feed Bag, The Bemis family is running around every time I am in there and they never stop. The store has such a great selection not to forget their baby chicks. I ran in there today and it was bustling with employees arms full restocking and tending to the chicks!! 5 star!!

Only stopped in here once to pick up some sheep medicine, but as I walked in I noticed how much stuff there is all around the store. They probably have every type of feed for every type of animal, except for sheeps though. Staff was very helpful and nice.

Pretty knowledgeable staff there. After buying product to control ticks from a different animal supply store that didn't work, I stopped in and explained my issue, and right away they were able to give me a different product that I was able to treat my pet and yard with the tick problem is gone

I have gone to this place for ever now. My dogs have a special diet so I feed them Canidae and my dogs love it! They have a special where you buy 11 bags and get the 12th free! It takes me a while but it's worth it! Love the staff great work guys!

This is the best dog food and supplies store in Indio. They’ve got superb, affordable dog food. I’m glad they have FROZEN RAW and freeze-dried raw dog food, too. Meat is the only thing my dog actually needs to be healthy and happy. Here, I can get live rats, adopt a furry small animal, and pick up bird and horse feed.

I shop for millet sprays and cuttle bones for my parakeets, good prices. They stock a wide variety of high quality dog food, bales of hay or straw (?), horse supplies and treats, pig, rabbit, and chicken feed. They carry some cat food. They had baby pigs for sale a few weeks ago, they used to sell different breeds of chicks, maybe you can order some through them, I think some law passed that prohibited the sale of live chicks (dumb California).
