The BEST reptile shop in San Diego. Don’t even bother with the others. San Diego Reptile Co is family run, women owned which is super important to me. The store itself is clean and tidy with an amazing selection. All animals look well loved and their enclosures are spotless. Owner is SO knowledgeable and will ensure you are completely prepared to care for your new best friend. So glad this place exists, or I don’t know where I’d get my supplies and feeders! I always look forward to stopping in to see what’s new. A+++

Awesome shop!! Family owned and operated and the atmosphere to match. The shop itself is clean , organized and well put together. The animals and enclosures are clean and very well kept, and the place seems to lack the foul odors that alot of shops have 🤮. Brittany the owner is not only extremely knowledgeable and personable but also willing to take the time to share it and be sure you are confident with your new critter before you even leave her shop. Nothing but great things to say about this place. My dream reptile has been a b&w tegu baby but have been unable to source one locally. Kept getting try back in 6 months ....or you can just order one online blah blah . I asked just out of curiosity and she replied "let me check the list of whats available give me a minute". Her supplier not only happened to have them but also had pictures and I was able to pick the one I wanted!! Animal came in timely and absolutely perfect.The best experience and service I have ever had at a reptile shop. Thanks for making this herpers dream a reality San Diego Reptile co. Absolutely BEST experience for a new reptile parent. We purchased a beautiful 3 year old rescue ball python for our son and from start to finish, I could not have asked for better service, knowledge and advice. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we left well taken care of and they did not try to over sell anything like other places. We came back the day after Christmas so our son could get some more info and again, same great service. Our snake has been thriving from day one. Great health, friendly and well handled prior to adopting. We will definitely be back again for all our future reptile needs.

We have gotten a lot of pets here, we love this place. It family owned, the owner is super kind and helpful. Their animal enclosures and clean and well kept, and the store doesn’t have the smelly reptile smell all the other places have. We have had no problems with every animal we have gotten from there. :) She helped us a lot with our beardie, Mango says thanks

I recently purchased my first reg ball python from this store. The owner was amazing and helped me with my whole set up!! She went over all the information I needed to know on how to care for my snake, and set me up with everything I needed.My snake is thriving and is as happy as can be!! I followed all her advice, and I am becoming a confident snake mom. They take very good care of their reptiles and have everything you need for your set up.Love love this place.

I cannot praise SD Reptile Co. enough. The owner had so much patience with my daughter while she was making her first purchase. I went in without any sort of knowledge in caring for reptiles, and upon leaving I felt confident and prepared.The store presentation is a direct reflection on how much passion the owner has for each animal in her care. Each habitat (I’m unsure of the correct terminology) was clean, and each animal seemed very content and comfortable. I felt confident I was purchasing an ethically cared for animal.SD Reptile Co. has become a weekly stop for us for purchasing crickets, meal worms, wax worms, and horn worms. My daughter’s leopard gecko has been thriving thanks to this amazing family owned establishment.

I have been going to this reptile store since they opened. The service is quick in and out for what I need. I usually get two mice then I'm out. While I wait for my mice to be boxed up. . . I look at the many different critters that they have showcased for sale or not for sale. It's not just reptiles though that are at this location. I have seen amphibians and arachnids as well. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking to get food for their critter, or a new pet for their home. 😎

Local, Family Owned, and worth checking out. Tons of feeders, supplies and more. Always polite employees. Doesn’t have the pet store smell others do. The owner is always interested in what I have and how to set it up right. Double checks I have everything I need (I’m forgetful) and just an awesome place to go for anything reptile, amphibian or arachnid. Love this place!

Here is my honest review/experience!I spent the past few days hunting around trying to find jumping spiders. I'm new to this type of pet scene. I ended up finding a place and had a weird experience. I didn't feel confident with myself with the knowledge given to me to care for these 2 little spiders I got. I'm a bit old school and prefer in person knowledge rather than being on the phone looking stuff up. After going through a couple other pet shops and still not feeling happy I found Brittany's shop on here. Gave her a call to see if she had knowledge on my spiders and she told me to come on down! She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and didn't judge me on my lack of knowledge so I appreciate that. Her shop is hands down one of the nicest reptile stores I've been in. Extremely well stocked, organized, CLEAN, and didn't have the smell lots of shops do. She even had a ton of great things to say and recommendation for another reptile store closer to me. As someone who has ran/owned a small business that really shows a lot about their character ! Even though I am in east county I will glady make the drive up there for any supplies or questions I need or have!Thank you!!!

Nothing but the best from here. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Service is always excellent with friendly knowledgeable staff. The place is always neat and organized. I had a wonderful conversation with the owner regarding my tarantula and was impressed and also humbled to learn I have been using the incorrect substrate for my pet (who I love even though most fear spiders). Wanting the best for my pet, I was shown an alternative that was available there in store; and as soon as I replaced the substrate, my spider was absolutely happier!!!! It can be hard to hear a new opinion, but the owner approached it from a friendly perspective!!! At the very least I will be a dedicated customer simply for the fact that the owner really does care, and that is worth my money.

Everyone there is incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Reptiles. The animals look healthy and their enclosures are clean. This is a fantastic representation of what a Pet Store should be like, meeting husbandry standards above and beyond. Great selection of supplies for various species, at competitive pricing. I just bot a baby curly hair tarantula for my daughter, they spend like a hour explaining everything about the tarantulas for me and my daughter, they are great , not pushing me just to get some money , they are really professional. Thank you for all your help

This is the best reptile shop in San Diego! They always have feeders in stock, and even breed their own rats and mice, which are actual handleable. We even got two hairless rats as pets!

We love coming here to get food for our bearded dragon. The prices are cheap and customer service is awesome. Location is great coming from the base. I highly recommend! Don't go to Petco!
