It is so nice to know that there are people in the area who care about the often forgotten wildlife. My mother loved watching birds enjoy her lovely gardens. Just after her passing, we found an injured dove in her yard. SWCC was there immediately to take care of the sweet bird. We do not know what we would have done if it wasn't for them. They even give you a number to call to check on the bird. Her name is angel.

I took a hawk in for observation after I had found it dangerously close to speeding traffic. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and was able to care for and observe the wild hawk before releasing it into the wild.

I found a fledgling hummingbird on my morning walk today who wouldn’t have survived without receiving care from Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center. They do such meaningful work and I am so grateful

They do amazing work here. When they have their supply drives/open house days you should go and see the amazing things they do and bring them whatever they need. They always need paper towels. Bring those.

Found a baby bird in my front yard, if I left it outside, the neighborhood cats would have found it. Took the bird here, explained the situation, and they took the bird, gave me a number to call to check on the birds progress. The staff member I delt with was so friendly and informative. Love what you all do here!

I rescued a baby bird that fell out of tree. I took it to the Wildlife Center. They checked him in and gave me a number that I could use to follow-up on the status of the bird. I called a few days later, they told me the baby bird was learning to eat on its own and was doing better. I didn't think he would make it but the center really looked after the baby.

We had fledglings that were picked out of their nest by black crows, today, in fact my niece saw a baby in the mouth of one. I took all 3 that had eventually fallen, one did not servive, to the Stanislaus Rehab in Huston. They were MORE than welcoming & offered good advice. They were soo nice, compassionate & caring. We’re very grateful for the work they do & we here in our county appreciate that there is a place where vulnerable animals can be taken care of with love. Thank you!!

My cat brought an oppossum into the house. I was able to rescue it before it was injured. Took it to the Wildlife Center for help. The employee seems distracted. I asked what will happen to the baby oppossum. It will be checked out and return to its natural habbitat. Didn't ask for any info from me about where I found it. I had my dog with me, my car broke down and it was hot. I asked for water twice for Bello, seemed irretated, said take the dog out side, I did, asked again for water, brought a small cup of water, Bello drank it up. Thank you for the water. I wish I could have visited the center. But they were closing. I plan to go back and learn more about the Center and the animals that have been rescued.

So I found a bird in the street and I called Stanislaus Wildlife Care center so I called him about two times or three times just try to find out how can I take care this bird to make sure be safe it seems like they don't care that much and the third time when I called the manager or one of the managers and give me big attitude and she told me don't try to convince my staff we don't take no wild pigeon with very bad attitude and she hang up the phone on me All I'll try to do help the animals to be safe and shouldn't give me any direction where to go or at least help me so if you guys have any animals I wouldn't take him to this place there are very very bad people trash especially the manager I will give them zero and this is my experience I was trying to help and they hang up the phone on me garbage service from the manager or whatever who's in charge I wish the owner can see this I am very very disappointed

I called because I found a injured bird. They said to bring it. I took it in and she took him to the back right away. It’s nice to know there is a place like this to take them too. They give you a number so you can call and check on them.

I took a cockatiel to them years ago. I was asked to keep it overnight and they never came back to get it. Which was probably good since it was almost featherless. After some research I realized that I couldn't afford the veterinarian visits it required, so I called these folks. They took it in right away and gave it the care it needed. Thank you Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center.

We had a scrub jay hit our patio slider late afternoon. We weren't sure if it was stunned or seriously injured. We put it in a box and the next day took it to SWCC. The lady who was there was very helpful and kind. They gave us a # so that we can call to check on the birds status. They have a donation box, so I made a donation. I'm glad that a place like this exists to support our furry and feathered neighbors who need help.

This place is absolutely amazing. The people who work there have to deal with a lot of stress and tough situations to help save the local wildlife, and they put their all into it.

I have taken several different injured birds to the wildlife center..most recently an injured mourning dove. During my last visit, I saw people bring in young hawks, other birds and wildlife. The people at the facility are amazing, and I am grateful for their commitment and efforts to help save wildlife. I also admire all the people who care and take personal time and efforts to help save wildlife by getting them the help they need.

I dropped off a baby mourning dove. The employee who helped me was very nice too. They give you a number so you can follow up with how the animal is doing. I think that's pretty cool. I was hoping I'd be able to check up on the baby bird

This is a wonderful place that rescues wild animals such as birds, chickmonks, squirrels, possums, raccoons, mice, rats and more. They are a rescue that will house, rehabilitate, and release animals if they are capable of release. I found orphaned baby mice they took in. They don't use them as food which is what I was looking for. They said every animals life matters and that is what made my decision to go. They were kind and caring. They don't charge a fee for their service but they rely solely on donations and volunteers for the care and services of those animals. They gave me a case # so I can check in on them. I ended up donating to them because I love what they stand for and what they do for the animals.

I love this refuge. I love all the little critter's they help. Right now they have the cutest little squirrels. Sure wish they could be released but grateful they have a safe home. My only complaint is Renee is no longer there. Shame on you for that. It wasn't right and you know it. I hate knowing petty politics are a part of your inner structure. You never had a better volunteer than Renee. I hope that never happens again. You owe her an apology. Thank you volunteers. You put your heart and soul into this place and it shows.

I had taken a beat up crow here that I found in my yard. The staff was friendly and we're kind enough to keep me informed of the crow's status and there was no charge (tho they do request donations). All in all a nice place to take a sick wild animal should the need arise.

Great place. Will take any wild animal that is hurt or a lost baby. They're very nice and answer your questions. It's a free service so there's no fee to take in an animal. And they give you a file number for every animal that is brought in so you can keep checking in on it.

I called because animal control gave me the number for a rooster on our property. Before i could even tell her that animal control gave us the number she cut me off and told me to call animal control. Also she spouted off about I need to call soeone in my area because I guess she saw my 408 area code and thought I was not from Stanislaus county... Very rude and uncalled for.

They Will take any hurt or orphaned animal. It's fast it's easy and it's free. They don't use government funding it's all by donations. I'm sure they would appreciate any help you might have to five including your time. It's a wonderful place
