We absolutely loved our stay at the RV park! It was extremely well- kept! It had very clean and well decorated bathrooms, and lots of green grass! The hosts were very kind and communicative. I ended up driving in when they were out but they left me a detailed message so I knew what to do, very helpful! The area was wonderful, although the road coming in had quite a few potholes and definitely needed some maintenance, which is not something they can control. The river was absolutely gorgeous and I loved waking up to the sound of it in the morning, we only stayed for 3 days but we saw several Wild Horses while there which made for quite the experience.I would 100% recommend this RV park to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a spot on the river side.. so nice to listen to the river run. The site was clean, water, electrical and sewer hook-ups were good. The cement pad and picnic table..all good. There is no green grass just weeds and dirt. The dog park is a joke. This is a nice place, right on the river but not quite as shown. You do get treated to a herd of wild horses coming to munch on what grass there is and then drink from the river. They are really neat to watch. They are wild and NOT to be petted or crowded. Pretty special.

What a wonderful place! We had not used our motorhome this year due to the high cost of fuel, so we decided to go on a short trip and just relax. At only 20 miles from our house, this resort was perfect for us. The staff was so friendly and courteous, the grounds were immaculate and the sound of the river is so soothing. We missed seeing the wild horses as we were already tucked in for the night, but we did see wild turkeys, river rafters and fisherman. Can't wait to go back!

One of the nicest RV resorts we've been to! It's set right on the Klamath river and most sites have a river view. All sites are full hook-up and lots of space between the sites. The owners and staff are outstanding! We were there over the 4th of July and were treated too a wonderful BBQ. The bathrooms and laundry room were extremely clean. Other great touches include ice cream for sale in the laundry room and a great dog park. We will definitely be back.

This place is a fantastic stop. The staff are welcoming, courteous and hard working. I've never met friendlier people. The park is immaculate and the riverfront lots are pristine. The concrete pads are oversized and the grass and grounds are kept meticulously. The river runs just past the pads and you can watch wild horses and an array of birds and wildlife roam the area. Its approximately seven miles off Interstate 5 and there's a stretch of road that's marked "rough road" but frankly if you keep it under 35 miles per hour you won't have an issue. Its big RV and bus friendly and there's plenty of room. The bathrooms are pristine and the laundry and other amenities are more than adequate.

A bit of a drive up the mountain to get there... But holy cow it's bar none the best camp we've been to on our 22 state excursion! Wild mustangs wander right into the park! The view of the stars is breathtaking! Nice concrete pads. Cell signal is about non-existent but that's not the park's fault. We had a neighbor cheerfully help out during our setup - he was awesome. Management was cheerful and super friendly. Just a truly wonderful place to stay. Next time we'll spend a week to explore the river and do some kayaking! I can't recommend this place enough. Take a few days to enjoy this place properly! I wish we had.

We are full-timers, and have stayed at countless parks across the US. This park, hands-down, is one of our favorites. It’s gorgeous, exceptionally clean, and has the nicest and hardest working hosts we’ve encountered. Jeff and Tammy will not only make you feel welcomed, but you’re treated like family. There’s not a bad site in the entire park. Enjoy the wild horses, take a drive to Iron Gate Lake, or relax in a chair along the river, located just steps from your front door. Peaceful and relaxing! Looking forward to our next visit.

I stayed at Blue Heron RV Park for 5 days, as I was making my way back to California from the Crater Lake area. There were so many great things about this park. The individual sites were level, with cement pads that were roomy with a good amount of space between sites. All sites had full hookups, and a picnic table. The grounds were very clean, as were the restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The hosts were what made it great - they were very eager to answer any questions and requests that you may have. The seasonal decorations were a nice touch, and they had additional treats, (ice cream, snacks, and some basic staples) for sale. The Klamath River runs adjacent to the park, and there is a wide grassy area on shore where you can sit in the Adirondack chairs provided and chill out to the sights and sounds of the river - very relaxing. There are several herds of horses that visit the park,. They meander through munching on the grass at the sites and down by the river. They are beautiful to watch. This is an RV park I intend to visit again in the future.

We spent a week at the Blue Heron RV Park in early November 2020 and had an absolutely wonderful visit. The park hosts made us feel welcome and at home. They provided plenty of good advise as to where to go and what to see in the local area. The park was very clean and every bit as beautiful as their website indicated. The pads were large and well spaced out. The fall colors were amazing and the Klamath River made for a relaxing environment. We made a number of trips into the Ashland/Jacksonville, Oregon area which is only about 40 minutes away. We will definitely be returning next year and highly recommend this park to anyone who loves getting away in a beautiful setting on the Klamath River.

Camp hosts are awesome and welcoming. The staff maintain the grounds like a golf course. The campsites mostly are next to the Klamath River, and throughout the day people float by. These services are available to the guests. Wild horses come down from the hills to munch on the green rich grass almost within arms length. It is exceptionally peaceful and quiet here and star gazing is a nightly adventure. Site lights turn off later in the evening to promote the views.

I loved my stay at Klamath Ranch Resort soo much! The owners and managers were so welcoming and kind! The nature was beautiful and oh so serene. The river was peaceful and the water was great to take a dip in! I loved seeing the horses in the morning, and nothing is as gorgeous as the view I got! Plus, it's a great place for beautiful, professional photo-ops. Will definitely be visiting again! :)

My husband Steve and I stayed at the Blue Heron RV Resort from July 2020 to April 2021while my husband worked on a construction project.First of all we will truly miss being here at the park and in this part of Northern California. It has been our first time living full time in an RV and we have loved it!The park has been amazing, mostly because of the park managers, Tammy and Jeff, and the owners, camp hosts (and fellow campers too!) They have all been warm, friendly and kind and made us feel at home, safe and well cared for. And they work very hard to keep the park and laundry/restroom facilities clean and well-maintained and it shows! The setting here is peaceful and quiet. We'll miss the roaming horses and sunsets, and sounds of the birds and river. And the occasional fishermen and people in boats, kayaks and tubes floating by.The fall colors were amazing and winter was pretty mild. It snowed a few times, but melted in a few hours, just enough to look pretty, and to make small snowmen. I often found myself wondering, if folks knew how beautiful it is up here even through the winter, more people would visit, not just in spring and summer time. But we had the park almost to ourselves at times. Even when it was 55 deg outside and the air still and sun shining it would feel like 70 deg. Heaven! The area has been fun to explore. We've taken many long day drives in all directions toward Shasta, Lassen National Park, the coast, Oregon, through the mountains. All have been amazing as well.Yes, we will surely miss it.We have been spoiled here.Thank you Blue Heron RV Park! You will always have a space in our memories and our hearts.Steve and Mary Jane

Thank you so much for helping us get through a hard time. Between towing and fixing our RV it cost us $4,500 so your help and assistance was greatly appreciated while we were stressing at the situation we were in. In fact, the shoot out with cops took place at the same rest stop the day after we were towed, and that day we were stuck for hours in the traffic hold up. So, I'm glad we were still able to make it & camp in Sp 4. It's so quiet and beautiful at your park, we are looking forward to our end of summer visit and all future visits we stay each year.

Camped here in a Tent Trailer and yes the only one :) A wonderful place and highly recommended. 1st time at this small RV resort and upon arrival we were greeted by Jeff. He was very welcoming and showed us to our site. We had a river front site and like all the sites it had a very large, level concrete pad, full hookups minus cable. All sites are pull-in and easy to back out of. The do not have a store but they do sell ice, butter milk, ice cream, frozen food, farm fresh eggs and a few other things on a honor pay system. Very well kept resort, clean restrooms, green grass and Jeff, Tammy and the owners are great. The other campers are very friendly and welcoming too.

Great RV park with super friendly people. You can tell they care a lot about the place and work hard to keep everything like new. Amazing spots along the river where you can float or just sit and enjoy the views. There are two reservoirs close by for paddling or fishing. Other than that, plan to just hang out and enjoy the river and the quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron RV Park. The park is right next to the Klamath river, so try to bag a river facing spot and enjoy the sounds and sight of the beautiful river throughout your stay. The park is extremely well maintained, quiet , peaceful and pet friendly. The bathrooms and laundry facilities are spotlessly clean. The hosts are very fun, friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going back for more stays in the future.

This was a beautiful park, everything was clean and kept up very well. The employees were awesome. I would have given five stars but the owners had an employee chasing off the horses with a golf cart who would wander through the park. As there is very little access to the river the horses are what makes this place so special. If they don’t want them wandering through, not bothering anyone, then they shouldn’t advertise this on their website as part of the appeal.

Wow! This is a gem of a place. Your door(s) will open out to the river, with a nice patio and beautiful green grass in between. Every river site has exceptional access to the Klamath river. Clean park, well manicured, friendly staff. We'll be back!!

Our favorite RV Park along the Klamath River! Spacious sites, clean restrooms, showers, and laundry. You can easily pick up a bag of ice or an ice cream on a hot summers night! The staff is extraordinarily helpful and friendly, you feel at home here. The grounds are green with shade trees and flowers throughout. You’ll even spot a hummingbird or two. And extra bonus…the beautiful wild horses that roam the sites! Truly magnificent. We camped in a 30’ travel trailer, we saw many Class As and 5th wheels. When visiting family in Yreka, this is our place to stay!

Wow! This place is awesome. We only stayed one night but wish we had time to stay longer. Just 7 miles off I-5 but light years away from the rest of the world.Full hookups on very level concrete pads. Large roomy spaces and oh so very quiet. Restrooms and showers first class (even the floors are heated. Our space was right on the Klamath River so we sat in the big comfy chairs all afternoon and observed all the ducks, geese, osprey, hawks, crows, fish and the river just glide by.The owners and the camp volunteers were friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stop here the next time going along I-5 or better yet stop for a few days just to unwind.

One of our favorite RV parks that we have stayed at in our 4 years of full-timing!Jeff and Tammy and David were very friendly and welcoming. Some of the nicest camphosts we have ever met.The Park is in a beautiful setting on the river; it is immaculate. They provide 2 patio chairs at each river front site for your relaxation and enjoyment. The sites are very large ; easily accommodated our 43’ class A and tow car. Excellent patios and Picnic tables- all very very clean and well maintained! They have delightful dog parks ( one for larger dogs and another for small dogs) with fun stuff for your furbabies to play in and on. Nice benches for owners to sit on and beautiful pots of flowers. And…… real grass ! Our kitty even enjoyed poking around and going through a centipede tunnel when no other dogs were there.Unfortunately we only booked one night as we were finishing up a 7 week RV journey. We could easily stay a week at this lovely gem.Kudos to the park managers and camphosts forProviding such a beautiful park for us to enjoy. We will return one day and will definitely recommend this park to our fellow travelers. This is only the 2nd time we have taken the time to place a Review of a park. It is that nice.Don’t be concerned about the bumpy 10 mile drive up and in to the park … it will be worth it. Just take it slow and know you are heading for a great little Oasis at the end.

Stayed for just one night but will definitely return for a longer stay. The entire park is immaculate with large roomy spaces. The scenery is beautiful and all spaces face the river. The camp host was friendly and welcoming even though we arrived late and after dark. The park is about 7 miles off I5 but well worth the drive.

We have been to a lot of different RV parks and locations and by far, this little gem is our favorite!!! The sites are very large, the grounds are beautifully kept and the river view is incredible. We enjoyed our walks along the river, exploring the areas, and just sitting in our site, listening to the river...if you haven't been to this incredible spot yet, you are truly missing out. I cant wait for our next trip out there next month!!!

We visited this RV campground about 6 years ago. While it was beautiful, the previous owners wouldn't let us (in our rv) and our friends (in a trailer), park next to each other. Secondly, the water stunk so bad it turned us all off. We left after our long weekend that year and swore to never go back. Fast forward to 2020 where we have had all sorts of travel plans canceled (along with everyone else) and were looking to get out and go somewhere. We decided to go back to Blue Heron and give it a shot. We are so glad we did! The water is treated and the odor is gone! The campground is immaculate with paved road, large concrete pads that you can put a tent on for more friends or family, and beautiful grassy lawn down to the riverside. RV's and trailers can park next to each other. The owners couldn't be any nicer. We relaxed for 3 days and didn't want to leave. We have already booked 2 more stays in the next 2 months. If you want to fish, float down the river, or just watch the river go by, this is the place to go.
