Our stay at the Stock Farm Inn began with such high hopes. We had stopped for a coffee on a previous drive through Hopland, felt a good vibe, and decided to return for a stay, visit the wineries, test the restaurants.Bad choice.CHECKING INOur stay began with a game of Hide-and Seek with the elusive staff. There were posted signs with buried hints on how to find them. It took several attempts to catch one and, when we did, we won the keys to the room.I am 72 years old, my wife 66. All the suites are upstairs. There are no elevators. (There was an elevator cloaked behind a curtain tagged out-of-order) .Hate when that happensIt took 23 steps to reach the summit with our bags in tow.Winded and exhausted on my third and final trip to the top of the stairs a voice rang out, “Do you need any help?” Geez….This place is out if you are 65+ and value your life (or own a portable heart defibrillator). Olympians and marathon runners only!SUITEWe booked The Lawson Room (Room 200). Our first impression was very good. A large room, spacious, high ceilings…..then all hell broke loose. The TV did not respond to the remote. After another game of Hide-and-Seek I found an employee (Caleb?) in the kitchen. Great kid, way too many responsibilities. The TV would only work if you unplugged it from the back and reset the darn thing. It was the only way you could get the TV to talk to the cable box. Caleb did not understand why but …”that’s just the way it is.”The bathroom was hellish. Before even starting our adventure we discovered pee stains in front of the toilet (not mine!). After a few minutes of running the water BOTH bathroom sinks backed up. There was a constant drip in the shower due to a bad seal of some kind. We had to place a wash rag over the shower drain to muffle the dripping noise. We could not find an on/off switch/button to operate the spa tub. We just passed up the option. I had enough of playing Hide-and-Seek for one day. Needed to save my strength for the next day. After tucking ourselves into bed the first night my wife said, “Look at that.” “Look at what?” She was pointing to a cobweb that not only covered the entire dome of side table lamp but the web attached itself all the way up to the 10-12 foot ceiling.“What size spider built that thing?”There was no second night.

I have meant to write a review for YEARS, and now it seems reviews are tied to rooms now that the Stock Farm monicker has replaced Campovida, so caveat…I live way to close to stay here, my review is for the restaurant only. Have never had a shaky experience here, even when we diverted my parents away from The Broiler (come on Boomer…)and made them go here. Ingredients are always fresh and wonderfully prepared. The pizza os always excellent and we have had them all (please bring back the peachy pig next year- LOVED that one). The fire roasted veggie platter, we get it every time….and the beer always ice cold and well selected. That said, even with excellent food all the time, the one constant through all the changes and all the years is the fellow that greeted us the first time we walked through the door with “Hey folks, what can I get you?”We eat out a lot…and stopped during the plague. Locked inside we asked each other what do we miss? Marty. Hands down. Best server we have ever dined with. The guy is amazing. It is totally worth it to eat here and see what really good at your job looks like. Went Sunday, need to go back every Sunday. Thanks Marty!

They did not have any hot beverages,ie coffee & tea. They provided hot water which we took because we were cold from the winter weather outside. It was 45min. with food arrival, though we did have a party of 10. No real complaints with the food, burgers and pizzas were good, fries on the cold side apparently. The separate room with door for larger groups was nice & private.

The name has changed over time but this place continues to be excellent and we love stopping here on our yearly trip through hopland.Great salads, pizzas, appetizers. Friendly staff, really nice space. I like the new separation of dining area and lounge - the TV on in the dining area was the one thing I didn't love previously and now it's no longer an issue. Good clean bathrooms but I don't think there's an all gender option. As a non-binary person whose presentation is neither entirely female or entirely male, this made me uncomfortable as I was worried I'd be out of place in either restroom.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and we were able to get the spicy potatoes without the bacon, and they're quite excellent without.Parking: Plenty of easy off street parking.

Dec ,2021- back after two yrs , want to give a big thank you to our server 'Marty', he went above and beyond in service , it was my dad's birthday , with a limited menu they had no desert menu, but came up with a plate of cookies and a candle !: Thank you so much ! ⁰Nice restaurant with two sections. One is the bar and then a dining room which is quieter. We were promptly greeted by several people and our server greeted us once we were seated. We all ordered the wood fired pizza and salad, they were excellent. They pasta, salads and a Burger too. Service was quick, Will definitely go back on my next visit to Hopland

This is a must if you travel through or to Hopland. Great and friendly wait staff, especially Marty. This guy never had a bad day. Fresh ingredients from the winery up the road. Seasonal delights. Easy going not stuffy. If it's nice eat outside on the patio

Excellent dining experience. Warm and relaxing environment with friendly staff. We only ordered off the daily specials menu which included mussels and clams for an appetizer and a delicious pizza loaded with fresh ingredients. The Campovida wines suggested paired excellently with the meal. I can't wait to come back and experience more of the menu.

Pizza was delicious. Tried the pesto chicken and some BBQ one. Both really tasty. Rave reviews from a friend who ordered the burger as well. The patio out front was awesome.Great break from a long drive. It's a bit pricey and the smallish dining room bar area was very loud.If you're looking for a place to stop on the drive up or down the 101 I recommend it.

If you're staying mid-week in October and still paying $200 a night, the front door should work, the elevator should work, a bottle of water in the room shouldn't need a bottle opener - if the rooms don't have bottle openers. The room itself was nice but for the cost the value was poor. You'll have 3 little coffee creamers and some coffee they threw in a Mason jar to last 36 hours, because from Tuesday night to Thursday after you leave, no one will be there. They even warn you not to put your key card near a phone because if it gets weirded out no one may show up to let you in.Bring your own towels.

Most of our visits here the service has been okay and sometimes not. The food has been good. Tonight there was a large party with reservations in another eating area. We waited for at least an hour for our hamburger and pizza. The pizza was burnt and the hamburger and fries were cold. The wait staff tried to compensate by returning the burger to the kitchen. They returned with reheated fries and it appeared as if the burger had been thrown back on the grill for a warming. I don’t think we will be back there again. Too bad as we are locals.

We pass through Hopland quite often and had missed this great place. We will not miss it again! The service was friendly and excellent, the food was delicious and arrived to our table quickly. We would be regulars if it was closer. Definitely worth a stop for a bite to eat!

Very comfortable room with a dream bathroom. If you want to sit out on your balcony I would suggest the south side of the hotel. The AC units are all on the north east side and a bit noisy. But the morning view of the adjacent vineyard is beautiful. Very comfortable bed. HUGE bath towels. The restaurant downstairs is an added plus. Great pizzas, salads and appetizers. Walking distance to all the tasting rooms in town.

I really like the layout of this place. Even with a room full of people its very cozy and inviting. I also like how they have olive oil at all the tables. Service was quick, coffee was very delicious and my burger was filling. My dads calzone was very very delicious.

Great food, but maybe a little pricey. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it can be very easy to just sit and enjoy yourself. I had a great time and meal there, with one exception being a member of the staff. Her name escapes me but I believe she is the managers sister. Very rude, uncaring, and just awful. I dont know how she still had a job. You'll know her immediately, and I suggest you ask for a different server.

Can't recommend this place enough. I highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area. We drove through Hopland coming home from Mendocino. The polenta fries and the pizza were excellent and the staff were super friendly.

First time here and it will not be our last. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was also great!Ambience: My only suggestion… some background music. Patio is right next to the highway so some music would be great.

Great beer selection, delicious food, and friendly service!Stopped in for a quick bite, as my wife and her friend had a great meal here recently (pizza, corn, and meatballs) were delicious as were the two IPA's we enjoyed on the lovely patio fountain side.

We were regular customers of Lawson Station for yearsbefore the new owners took over and renamed it and gave it's new identity Piazza de Campovida & Taverna. What joy to know that these new owners have resurrected our old favorite place with such love care. The inn is as cozy and comfy as it ever was and the Taverna very stylish in and understated casual kind of elegance merging both a Western and Italian feel. I love it!The food at the Taverna is even better than it was before and that was a hard act to follow as the previous restaurant The Shot Gun was outstanding. We are so impressed with the freshness and quality of the food as well as the creativity of the dishes. The Fig and Pig pizza was so delish my husband and I nashed on our leftovers on our long drive back home. I could go on and on and continue to rave about Campovida and the Taverna! Thanks Marty and Andrew and all of you for rolling out the red carpet for us during our stay with you. Looking so forward to coming back soon!

Well we really wanted to eat here, walked in, there were only two people, a mother and a child sitting outside eating. We were turned away because we didn't have a reservation because they said staffing issues and the kid was pretty rude about it. Since we decided to eat nextdoor we can clearly see they still don't have any customers sitting outside.....

Exceptional food and beverages, and the best part, since I was ready to hurt something if I didn't get food soon, was that they were open on Easter Sunday for dinner when everything else in the area was closed.Portions were not huge, but met my expectations and my husband and I shared a pizza that was very tasty - sausage and arugula with onions. The polenta fries were good, but the sauce was awesome (smokey and warm on the tongue, but not spicy).Cool furniture and decor. All in all, we'll be back!:)

Happened upon this place while on a road trip from Canada. Wow! Great choice! Great atmosphere and friendly service. The pizza with fresh arugula was one of THE best pizzas I've had in a long time! Definitely hope to return one day.

Spectacular food and service! nice place very modern and nice looking place for a little town like this, the food is great! the oven pizzas are crisp and with a lot of flavor, try the sausage pizza it won't disappoint you. if you are there for dinner try the chicken for 2 it is total out of this world, very nicely condimented and with a lot of flavor, this will be our new stop every time in Hopland. stop by and you will not regret it.

Very rude and cranky waiter with the weird mustache. I’m not sure how he even has a job with his lack of customer service. We ordered the burger but it was so bloody and gross I asked them to cook it a little longer and the waiter didn’t seem very happy with me. I don’t mind a medium well burger but this burger was completely rare. The fries were delicious thankfully!Tiny menu with few options, I didn’t mind the burger being rare just the attitude from waiter mostly.

Ok food. Great beer. Not so good Service.I came alone so I realize I'm not an important customerbut it took them at least 20 mins to bring me my water. 45 minutes to bring me my food! and then getting my check took about half-an-hour!!! seriously. If you get the guy with the handlebar mustache, run. He's no good at propriety

Can't complaint about service or food, however the management was less than inviting. We tried to park our handcar regatta cars on our trailers in their totally empty parking lot while a group of 16 of us ate at the restaurant and were repeatedly threatened with police removal. The young management team has a lot to learn about hospitality.Super low point on an otherwise beautiful day in mendocino ....

Stayed in room 206 at the Piazza. Highly recommend you secure this room. Great views, awesome shower, bed and plenty of luxury in this suite After we arrived we had a pizza from the wood fire oven and a wine from their local winery. It was a treat to have an authentic, friendly Mendocino county experience.
