Beautiful place, very loved and well maintained by the campground host. No showers but bathrooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Kid and dog friendly. The campground host is extremely welcoming. Definitely worth the 10 hour drive from Riverside County. We will be back in September 2017 and every July in the coming years. ❤

Absolutely wonderful slice of heaven!!! This campground is so so beautiful and so wonderfully hosted! The vibes and mellow and chill, everything is clean and within east reach and the river is amazing. The river has car access as well as trail access directly from the campground. Can’t get any better than this!

Campground is tucked away down in the valley along the river. I don't know if full size buses can get down there. It's a magical place covered with moss and surrounded by old growth and luscious forests. Campground sits on the Hoopa reservation and is the land of the Hoopa people. Definitely a place to go just get away for a few days/ week. Magical!

After spending a few days/nights out at this beautiful campsite it deserves a 10 out of 5 stars. Inker was an awesome campground manger/host. Between making us feel genuinely cared for and welcome. Or to just being a very friendly outgoing individual who sharing stores of the land and what’s to come. I can’t wait for summer to be back. What a great way to escape the city and just be in nature. Thank you Inker.

I almost don't want to review this place because I want to keep it to myself. I got the vibe from people that this place has a bad reputation I the past. But after going 3 consecutive weekends in a row I can tell you that it's changed. Camping was awesome. Swimming was awesome. Bathrooms were clean.4x4 definitely recommended if you want to get your vehicle close to the river. Watched a guy get stuck in a Hyundai.Camp Host Inker is a rock star. Super cool. Talked to us about his plans for improvements. Really exciting.

Beautiful and peaceful campground right above the river. It's a literal 2 minute walk to the river, which is shallow but relatively quick-flowing (there are plenty of signs advising people to be careful). The camp host was quite friendly and welcoming. We used tents, but note that larger RVs may not fit. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent campground. Even the “bad” sites are pretty nice. Great access to the river. This is a special (blessed) place that has ancient roots you can feel…plus the host was most welcoming and shared great stories and information (thanks Inkor!). We are already planning a return trip.

I camped here about 5 years ago and the camp host, Inker, was just getting started restoring it, removing poison oak, and looking into a possible archeological site. I enjoyed staying then.I returned in 2022 to find a vastly improved campground. Poison oak was all gone from campgrounds, the sites are nicely separated and I don't think there are any "dud" sites. Inker has plans for more improvements and funds are now available. This is a special place on the Trinity, a place not only to take in the natural setting but to connect with a land where folks have lived for hundreds of years, and still do.

We come several times every year with the kids, sometimes to camp and other times just for the day to swim. This is a very special place and we love Inker! He’s an absolute legend and always has so much to share with us, from stories to home-grown fruits. I’m very grateful to him for all he has done for Tish Tang. He has completely transformed the campground over the past years and his stories have captivated us at each visit.

An absolutely beautiful spot to visit. Be sure to pay the $3 to Inker who comes by in his red truck. Be sure to take a minute to talk to him. He'll share the rich history and cultural importance of the site and might even bless you on your trip there! Overall a very wholesome and enriching experience.

Tish Tang Campground is a great spot to go swimming or to go for a walk on the River Bar they have a nice camp ground. The campground is cleaned out there's no more thick brush it's very safe nice spot the person who maintains it is doing a really awesome job. But be sure to bring some cash because it cost $6 to beyond the river bar also you have to pay for if you want to go fishing you have to get a fishing permit so just keep that in mind when you decide to go visit other than that swimming there is really good spot just make sure you know how to swim or that you bring safety devices like life jackets because the current are Swift and the river does move so beware of that just be safe while you're there

Inker (the dude who runs this campground), is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Campground is clean, including the bathrooms, and spots are clearly marked and easy to find. The scenery is beautiful and river access is close. Absolutely would recommend.

Clean bathrooms, friendly host, quiet, and inexpensive--$15/night, and all proceeds go towards maintaining the campground. The Hoopa people have recently improved and cleaned the campground. Each campsite has picnic table and firepit.

An absolutely picturesque camp site!! Its covered in gorgeous oak and other deciduous beauties. Its a three minute jot down to the river and there are many spots to be had. Go camping with the whole family, or stay just the night. Its awesome. Day use is $6 and overnight is $15. Its worth it and run by the local Hoopa people.

Very friendly and welcoming place to hang on the river. There is a 3 dollar day use fee, but it's worth it. There are some great places to hang, but not a lot of sandy beach to hang, very rocky. Nice to have a place to enjoy here.

The manager was nice, we stopped on the way. Campground seems not the best of kind (personal opinion and judgement, you may agree with it or not). The natural environment is spectacular though.

This place gets more gorgeous each time I visit it. The Hoopa men running and maintaining the grounds do a kick*** job. I think it shows a bunch of potential for future events and activities. Can't wait until they put in their showers.

Tish Tang is a truly magical place and I would recommend staying here very much.Upon our arrival, the camp host Inker introduced himself to us and then introduced us to his ancestors and land in his native language. Inker took the time to answer all of our questions and educated us about the history of the area. (He even showed us how to dig up the Soap root plant that grows next to poison oak which also is the remedy for poison oak outbreaks).Just outside of the campground is a rough road that will take you down to a beautiful spot on the Trinity river perfect for swimming and swinging off the rope swing. We spent most of the day swimming down here mostly alone except for a few local basket weavers who would come down to weave.During our stay we saw River otters, eagles, large groups of quail, lizards, frogs. We heard something big walking around at night. Thought it could be an O-mah (Hupa word for Sasquatch).By the way, if you're interested in bigfoot stories ask Inker about his experiences with the creature. He has been on Survivorman: Bigfoot, the Lowe files and Finding Bigfoot.Look out for poison oak and bring your own firewood!

Campsite is amazing however there be thieves there at night. I had my wallet stolen out of my parked car in my campsite. I went for a walk around the other campsites and when I can around the dome light was on in my car and my wallet was no longer there.Had a great time besides that....Brian
