Went down for lunch after coming from Emerald lake. Huge sandwiches that were packed with meat! They also serve good pizzas and the store seems to have the basic necessities.

Always a great idea to stop and grab a sando here. The Dutch Crunch bread is always fresh, and the sandwiches are well stacked. If you want a super fast, mediocre sandwich, then go to Subway. This is a locals spot with great staff, good prices, and an awesome deli. If you're heading back to Emerald Bay then stop at one of the many spots overlooking the lake, kick back and chow down.

Good variety of items and prepared foods...Beer, wine and alcohol. Nice patio and indoor seating area. Open 7am-9pm with about 8-10 parking spots. Unfortunately, No prices on anything. I only had cash with me and it made it hard to determine the items I could purchase with $15.00. Please tag your merchandise!!!

Great staff, great inventory, love the cheese and fancy food department. Love the deli sandwiches. The prices on groceries are very high, higher than Tahoma Market. The store made soups are frequently dried up. But, we are fortunate to have them on the West Shore.

We love the sandwiches here. If you're in the area and hungry, worth stopping in. Parking sketchy, and backing out to leave a bit of a problem, but hasn't stopped me from stopping. Also has other mini mart type items you might need.

A small general store that you won't find in a big city. They have a little bit of everything... But mainly food/groceries.The prices are expensive, but it beats driving another 15 miles to get a loaf of bread or a carton of milk.They serve fresh sandwiches and flat burritos (we thought we were missing our burrito, but figured out that they just flattened it!?).- the sandwiches are AWESOME! A TON of meat and some fresh veggies.- the tater tots were over cooked (by 10min). Crunchy (like potato chips) but satisfying good!- espresso machine... Don't bother. Just get coffee.- general groceries... Get what you have to, otherwise drive to Tahoe City and go-to SaveMart.

Don’t buy their sandwiches. They’re a scam. All our sandwich has been designed like the photo attached. It looks like one would have two layers of cheese but it’s only a facade. The sandwich is pretty empty and dry. It’s not a huge deal but that’s a shame.Avoid eating here, especially for that amount.

Terrible service. The older lady that works at the deli counter is the rudest person I’ve ever met. I left without even ordering because how awful she was to myself and other patrons. My advice to management is to speak to her about improving her customer service. If you’re thinking about coming here, do yourself a favor and visit West Shore Market instead of Obexer’s. West Shore Market is just right down the street, it’s a better looking store, it has a larger selection, and the staff is very respectful.

It's difficult to offer certain necessities along the west shore do to limited space and desired curb appeal/zoning. These do a good job bringing some options for groceries and other conveniences to their area. Sandwiches are good. Prices are above average for obvious reasons.

Most importantly, this store strictly observed covid-19 safety precautions.the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the store is well stocked with useful merchandize.While you're here, take a quick walk down to the lake and take a few pictures. It's a beautiful view.The general store has no public restroom, but surprisingly the porta potties about 50 yards away, down at the dock, are immaculately clean.

Bought some deli sandwiches. They were good enough, slightly pricy (as is the rest of the area), but they were very impatient behind the counter. They have a special procedure for ordering sandwiches, which we weren't aware of, and wasn't posted. They huffed at every opportunity. We were the only ones in the store, so it wasn't like they were busy. Not impressed. Cashier was friendly. Two girls at Deli were impatient when we didnt know what we wanted. They even just told my daughter in a rude voice to" just pick a bread" They were very impatient and unfriendly. Felt like they were talking about us under our breath. Had to go back out for some personal items later in the day and went to Tahoma's General Store instead. They were very friendly both times we visited there (this am when we stopped in for Deli sandwiches and their baker was off today so they told us about Obexer's and also when I went back to Tahoma's again for supplies in the afternoon.. Will try them tomorrow for sandwiches. Really felt uncomfortable and was left with the impression that Obexer's did not want our business. .

This place has the most amazing sandwiches!!! Stop in and get one if you have a chance. As it is also a general store they have a large variety of everyday and special items; just understand those will be more then a normal store.

Awful. Upon ordering a sandwich, the kids behind the counter warned us that it would take them 25 minutes to make a sandwich and a burrito. I didn't mind the wait, but they seemed disappointed that i was willing to wait. It took more than 30 minutes to get my sandwich, and it was alright. My veggie sandwich was missing avocado, and when i pointed it out they said their avocados were not ripe and they couldn't slice through it. Not the end of the world, but I wish they had said something because I ordered that particular sandwich mainly because i wanted to eat avocado.The sandwich was ok, but it was the first time I've had a sandwich served with a frown.We did have dogs with us and the patio was perfect. Thanks for the use of the patio.

This place doesn’t serve our beloved breakfast burritos anymore because they’re understaffed. So sad, but understandable. What is not tolerable, though, is the insulting lack of customer respect. We were met with feisty and distasteful employees at the deli counter, turning us away from ever supporting this business again. Cheers to the end of an era and to the ridding of human kindness.

Great shop and deli. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful outside of the gent with glasses & blue/purple hair. Obviously hates his job... always interacts with a tone and attitude.

I promised these guys i would wear bikini bottoms and heels next time I was in the store. They have hard liquor. Booze is quite fun for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming with your dog, and in general most moments, not limited to and possibly also including hot tubbing, dinner, after dinner, on decks, during beautiful hikes at eagle rock, or just sitting with your dog. Many are not rec'd by doctors. Be moderate, friends.Remember this... these clerks are the friendliest, most affable chaps. It's a good place to be. Ahh.. to carry the west shore in my pocket.

Got there at 11:15 really hoping for a breakfast burrito and they said I was late by 15 minutes and they wouldn't do it. I thought this was a nice local market, not McDonalds. Really unfortunate.I find Tahoma market has better food, and service obviously, so recommend going there instead!

Great place to stop for sandwiches or curios on the west shore. I always stop here to stock up before a day trip to kayak in Emerald Bay.
