They have been so caring and compassionate with our older weenie dogs. We had one get sick and need meds right before we were about to go out of town and we normally have our neighbor’s teenager watch them for us,so I was nervous about her having to administer his meds and they informed me one of their staff members is willing to do this service for a small fee for their patients! They really do try to go the extra mile for their patients.Then when it was time to decide to put him down as he was suffering, they were incredibly compassionate, supportive, and so thoughtful.

The team at SBVC is awesome! I wouldn’t trust my fur babies with anyone else. Ginger loves getting laser therapy and getting extra pets & attention from the staff. Thank you SBVC for always showing compassion and kindness. You go above and beyond! I love the goggle pics you got of my girl. You guys rock!

I love this vet. My dog got hit by a car and she walked me through my dogs injuries and felt like I was in good hands. She took her past closing hrs. Basically I just felt the quality of care went above and beyond what Hollister usually gets. Will definitely be going back. ❤️

For over 13 years I've been taking my dog to this place w/o any issues/problems. But every since I guess the new ownership came in, the intake girls/receptionists have been rude, condescending and very disappointing to deal with. They have piss-poor, I don't give a s#!+ attitudes that no customer deserves, especially one thats been coming there for over 13 years! They're confrontational, like to provoke you and interrupt you when you try to talk to them. I even had one of them hang up on me! Pretty sad and pathetic people, I feel very sorry for them!

Stay far far far away. Go somewhere else. Horrible experience kept increasing the price on my puppy’s surgery. When I wanted to take my dog to another clinic or shelter I was threatened that I was negligent if I would take him from their vet because of his critical condition. Was told if I were to take him they would call Animal shelter report me and take any other pets I had at home.

I have been taking my senior doggies to this clinic during the pandemic more often due to their age. They have been super helpful and compassionate every time. I understand how busy it gets to the point where it's hard to get a call back, but they do recommend other places instead of leaving you hanging. Much respect to the vet team! Thank you for everything you do!

Great experience trust Dr. With my Susieq, he has saved her life on more than one occasion. When they say they are your family pet care center they mean it. We are all family. Wouldn't go any where else.

We called for an appointment and was able to book one for the next day. Staff were friendly and Veterinarian was knowledgeable. She answered our questions and made sure we felt at ease with our cat's condition. Love this Veterinary Center! Highly recommend.

2 stars because not to long ago it wasn't horrible. I'm not sure what changed, but it changed at the wrong time for me. When it was time to put my baby down at 16 years old. Yes they are accommodating when it's time, come now, whenever and they will help you. But once we were there and ready, staff and other customers were so loud and obnoxious. Staff didn't put out the sign to please be quiet, they weren't quiet themselves. It was so hard to say goodbye as everyone is laughing and having a great time in the lobby. We had to ask for the Dr or technician multiple times when we were "ready" and it was very frustrating. Ironically there were signs just posted everywhere how staff has recently been experiencing harassment from customers and there new zero tolerance policy.This is why, this is why you're staff is being harassed.Dr Sanders is amazing. Dr Ruth was great. Dr McCloud is questionable. We experienced all 3 with in the 2 week process of helping my little guy.Do better. Answer the phone. Show more compassion.

I am extremely grateful to the vets and assistants for saving my puppy's life after a botched spay surgery at a different local vet. My cockapoo, Joy, would likely have died if it wasn't for San Benito Vet Center. She had a horrific stitch job and major infection after her spay, became lethargic and antibiotics weren't working. Her abdomen under the incision started becoming inflamed and swelling 3 days after surgery and I knew this wasn't good. Obviously I didn't want to return to the original vet that caused this. I was very thankful when SBVC graciously agreed to see her immediately and performed surgery that same day to clean the abscess, insert a drain, prescribe stronger antibiotics and pain meds. They followed-up by seeing Joy every couple days to make sure she was healing well. Thank you Dr. Sanders for saving her life so that Joy can continue to be my hubby's emotional support through his chemo therapy.

First let me say that my pet is like one of my children! When I first started taking her there about a year ago they were really good. I don’t know what has happened but now they never return your calls even though I leave them two or three messages. I’ve called him back and push the button to speak with the vet tec I still do not get a callback. I will no longer be using this vet.

I have had nothing but good experiences here. They have seen my cats in emergency situations and have worked with me to try and solve medical mysteries. They are serving a huge amount of people here in Hollister but always do their best to fit me in when something comes up. Front office staff are sweet and helpful and the vets are kind and knowledgeable and genuinely care about their patients. I’ve had various appointments with all the vets at the practice and have had good visits every time. Highly recommend!

It is so disappointing how inconsistent this vet is. Prices are all over the place you talk to one person and the next person says something else and says I don’t know why that was said. They really need to be all on the same page.I am very disappointed in the new owners rules about having to pay up front for an appointment when my cats haven’t been seen yet. They say it is a deposit I think they are confused because a deposit isn’t ran On your credit card and posted to be taken out at the time of making the appointment a deposit is a hold. They said they have to run the cc and charge it to make the appointment that is not called a deposit. That can actually get them in trouble for charging someone’s cc for a service not done yet.So the new owners need to fix this or I’m sure they will be losing customers. As for the office manager she is Not approachable at all. Update the vet responded to my review however they are miss understood of what a deposit is and a actual charge. A deposit is a hold onto your account without an actual charge they are actually charging the account without seeing your pet first it’s a joke a deposit is pulled and posted . If they feel like they need to do this to their clients then maybe the people that don’t show charge them a fee and don’t take them in any more. We have been coming here for awhile now we feel the need to go else where.

I can’t say enough good things about this vet practice! I took my new pups in for their shots and initial exam. Staff was so kind, patient, and nice they have me as a lifelong customer now. I live in the Bay Area and drive way South because I don’t trust anyone else. They did a thorough med check along with the shots and found my boy “bullet “ had pneumonia. He’s cured and happy now because of them. I was so impressed with staff I went to Starbucks and bought them all hot coffee drinks. Be skeptical of any bad reviews . I found out folks will write them if they don’t get discounts, get reported to the spca if they are abusing their animals ( vets have to by law), or get told something contrary to what they read on the internet. In fact I found out one lady is having all her friends put bad reviews in who haven’t even been seen here. Evil. Anyway this place has me as a loyal customer for life as long as they and their staff are there. Thank you folks for the awesome care and saving my puppy! They aren’t even afraid to go to the vet like they were with my last dog and my old vet I used. Such an awesome addition to this community in more ways than one!

Very disappointed with my visit. Felt like appointment was rushed. Was charged a $75 deposit for after hours visit yet it says they are open until 8pm. That fee was also for a so called “exam” yet they didn’t physically examine anything and there was more talking then examining. But they were quick to prescribe medication and other products based on their “visual examination”. ($$$$$) I also didn’t feel like they made my dog feel comfortable, they had us cornered in the weigh-in room instead of putting us in a regular room. They could of at least tried to be more friendly towards my dog so that he would of felt less anxious and more welcoming. I will definitely won’t be going back.

It was awesome. We pulled up 5 minutes before our appointment and were acknowledged in the parking lot immediately. A tech came and got our kitty soon after that and her sutures were removed and then she was returned to us within what seemed like 5 minutes. I can't imagine a better experience. I would just recommend parking in the side lot instead of the spaces off the street facing the front of the clinic, as it can be hard to back out into traffic.

Very pleased with the care given to my cat! ❤ San Benito Veterinary Center was able to squeeze her in for an emergency visit despite their fully booked schedule, and both the veterinarians and technicians were helpful, nice, and professional. I think the technician we spoke with was named Mona; she did a great job at alleviating our concern and ensuring that our cat was happy and well taken care of during her visit! Both veterinarians we spoke with seemed very knowledgeable about our cat's health concerns and they sent her home on some medications that should help. We received a nice check in phone call and easily scheduled a follow up visit. Oh, and the texting line is an amazing addition! I was able to text photographs and ask questions pertaining to my cat and her medications, even after hours. Overall I'm delighted with my experience here so far, and my cat seemed not to mind her visit much (I was told she behaved very well) ❤

We normally don't go here but family pet care has been so busy we decided to go here. We had to put our dog down. The vet was very nice and caring..so she wasn't the problem. We paid 300 for creamation. Said they would call when ready to pick up. Called them a week later and they said the same thing they'll call us. We waited and waited over a month then they finally call leave a message saying Mikey(our dog) is still here when are you picking him up. So we pick him up and they messed up his name. My son is so upset so ya I would advise EVERYONE to go some where else. Isn't worth the heartache and trouble

Love this vet. The two Dr.Sanders and Dr.Ruth are always so helpful when it comes to any questions or concerns. I’ve noticed to that they are usually booked out because of how busy they are but they always try to get your pet in as a drop off. Your pet may stay there longer than an appointment but they are getting you in faster instead of waiting for an open appointment spot. Even with how busy they are the techs are always kind. I take my dog in once a month for b12 shots and theyre usually always quick!

My dog got hit by a car on March1. They took him in even though they were already closed.for the day and treated him. Duke's been in 2 to 3 times a week to get his bandages changed, and all the technicians are really good with him. Dr.Saunders takes the time to explain what he is doing so that you feel comfortable with every decision that you make. I really appreciate the people at this clinic.

Hollister has had its share of so so that's., But that's not true anymore I am absolutely amazed by San Benito Vet clinic. The staff are amazing they are conscientious they are compassionate and intelligent and they don't just assume. They go above and beyond at every turn, and really dive into an issue. We are so blessed to have them in town.

Was referred by a friend when we had gotten our pup. The techs are great with her and she’s always been excited to see them when we arrive to the office.They’ve been great since we started going there, but had a bad last experience prior to her getting spayed w the front office in general. She had to be placed on liver supplements and we were told initially it’d be ready for pick up on a Monday, when we checked they hadn’t come in yet. We were told Wednesday it should arrive, so we checked in again. Was told Thursday. Called then, again nothing. I believe we ended up getting the medicine the following Monday. I asked the receptionist whether the medicine had been ordered as it was feeling a bit ridiculous being told to continually wait. She caught some attitude with me and rudely said on the phone “we’ll call you when it comes in, thanks. Bye.” There was no acknowledgement that yes, it had been a bit of a wait. Disappointing nonetheless to get that after all we are paying for services, we had good experiences from the beginning, and the least we could get is some understanding of our frustration.Also frustrating how we had asked for 1/3 of a form to be completed and told we’d get a call within 24-48 hrs when it’s completed & still no follow-up. I haven’t even asked for it because what’s the point, it’s hard to get someone to answer the phone anyway during office hours.Good techs, but unfortunately the front office needs some adjustments.

This experience was a 10/10. I was so nervous about seeing a new vet and the entire staff exceeded our expectations. There was an emergency that came in while we were waiting. Everyone communicated the delay. I was also really pleased to see how well the team handled an emergency. It made me feel so confident should we ever have an emergency of our own. We are so thrilled to have you all caring for Lucy.

Worst customer service and ridiculously over priced. I used this vet before they changed ownership. Owner was reasonably priced and straight forward. New owners gave me hope when they gave me their cell # during a situation I had with my dog to keep checking in, was super impressed. It went downhill real quick! Now I can't get a call back- they will only text, super frustrating. I recommend going elsewhere.

This place is amazing, I took my dog Thor there to be seen as an emergency because we thought he broke his leg. We sat in our car while they were examining him inside. My wife and I watched with amazement on how their amazing crew hustled from car to car to make sure everyone in their cars where being helped and bringing in patients to be seen. I cant imagine how exhausted they are from how busy they are. The customer service is amazing and We are beyond grateful for the care they gave to Thor. He ended up with just a sprain and no break. We appreciate San Benito Vet for their hard work and for being open for our fur baby in these crazy times. Highly recommended them.
