It's a great store and the people are really nice and it's usually stocked very well and very clean. I only complaint is the deli. The guys they have making the sandwiches are so so slow! They don't work with urgency and then they will stop and talk to people or the other people. There's usually four or five people in the deli and one person working the counter. So the same person who is doing the sandwiches is slicing the meat Then you have someone else working on the floor then someone else doing packaging one person doing sushi and then just one person doing the sandwiches and the slicing the meat usually maybe two if you're lucky. But whoever's in the back due in the packaging or the manager who's looking at her clipboard seems to always be talking to the sandwich maker and he's taking a long time to make a sandwich every time I'm in there and then you have to wait for that person to get done making a sandwich to get something on the other side with the meats and cheeses but then someone else comes up with a slip for a sandwich so they're just making sandwiches making sandwiches who's helping this guy in the deli case?! I think you should have whoever's there possibly put down what they're doing and try to help these people out. It's called teamwork.

Easily found the items I was looking for. Aisles are not obstructed by promotional displays, making navigation effortless. Prices are in line with the area stores, but less for their popular store brand and the sales are a great way to save. Quality of produce is high as is everything else they have. Highly recommend.I'm liking the extra sales prices I get by having joined their loyalty program. They really have great sales!

Nob Hill hollister is always clean with excellent produce, bakery, deli, and meat departments. Staff are always friendly and helpful. On the rare occasion, I have a complaint they quickly resolve it to my complete satisfaction.

Great place. My only complaint is I signed up for their rewards program and they didnt enter my info correctly and they refuse to fix it. I cant use the reward program as a result so I had to stop going here.

Very nice store. Friendly staff and very helpful. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The Asian department has 2 of my favorite products Angelo Pietro Salad dressings and Yamasa soy sauce.

Nob Hill has been a favorite of mine for my entire life. The Los Gatos location was within easy walking distance from where I grew up, and I have always appreciated the quality and selection of their meats and produce.The Gilroy location seems larger to me, but the basics are the same - very clean, well maintained, helpful competent and courteous staff, and high quality fresh products that are well organized and easy to find.Yes, it's marginally more expensive than Safeway. But if quality is your number one priority, this is the place.Recommended.

I have been shopping Nob Hill since it's early days in the 1980's. This review is for the Hollister store.I would give 5 stars 🌟 for sure if it wasn't for issues I have had with the Deli. All other departments have been wonderful.Many of the Deli staff have been wonderful, but there is one deli person who has been there working the later shift that makes you always feel like you are being a nuisance, and bothering her with your orders. I have been denied multiple times service well before the 8pm closing time!Now, I have experienced twice, with making Doordash orders, this person not wanting to make my sandwich order and directing the Doordash people to the pre-made sandwiches. This was at 6pm, the Deli was open!Terrible customer service!!!I have noticed on many occasions that other deli staff try to make up for her "grumpy" rude behavior.One time she went in the side room and started banging things around unnecessarily loud.I stated to the gentleman trying to help me "someone is having a bad day!"He could hardly hear my cheese order due to all the noise. I felt sorry for him, having to deal with such an uncomfortable work environment.

The Nob Hill location in Hollister has been a welcome find in our grocery shopping adventures. The store is well laid out, well stocked, the employees are knowledgeable, helpful, cheerful, and they bag groceries very well, putting cold things together, like items together, etc. plus, I’m many cases Nob Hill prices are consistently cheaper than Safeway. This is my new home grocery store. Hands down.

If you order groceries to pick up, choose an early morning time. I usually get the best service in the AM. Any time after 5 PM is usually a disaster. Today around 2 PM I was worried it was too late in the day, but a kind and wonderful woman brought out my groceries. She brought me everything I asked for, AND the produce was in good shape.

High quality produce, unique variety on everything like vegetables, breads and microwaveable goods. Definitely a great store to purchase vegan items. If you’re looking for gifts they have all sorts of cards and stuffed animals. Gorgeous flowers cared by staff. They have a nice bakery with cakes and tarts. Sushi and Rotisserie Chicken is always fresh and tasty. There’s a pharmacy. Never have encountered a rude staff member. Overall it can be pricy but you get what you pay for, item and environment.

Great supermarket. Organized, very clean with a very helpful staff. There is anything that you could want or need. Great butcher shop, deli, impressive collection of plants. There's even a Wells Fargo branch inside.

Nobhill is always clean and bright. I love that they have good lighting. Everything is easy to find and the cashiers are always friendly. I wish the deli and meat department were friendlier. I find that their prices are higher than the other grocery stores and they don't have as much variety on Asian or Mexican products.

The deli a couple years back was so good now a days I feel like it just don't fit the nob hill standards the customer service is pretty rough around the edges im a little hard at hearing and to keep having to ask for the person helping me to speak up is a bit annoying ..point to this is my sandwich was the last straw for me I always always give them a chance but this one was it not even really a sandwich hardly any condiments (super dry i asked for two kinds only got half of 1) I asked for certain items and didn't receive them but got changed the extra fee for it ? So I mean I'm better off going back to the deli at safeway sorry. Nobhill i guess it's just ur pharmacy thats Thriving wonderfully.

If you're looking for specialty items, Nob Hill is highly recommended.Produce beautiful and fresh. Meat as well. The meat department staff are always helpful, and friendly. Bakery soooo much better than Safeway & Lucky.Pharmacy staff very knowledgeable, and friendly.

When in to purchase vegetables and a package of beef. There was a package of beef which had two red tag 1.00 off stickers. The cashier refused to discount the meat as labeled. She lied to me that it was a mistake. There were two other packages of the same type discount labels put by the butcher. They also had two 1.00 discount labels. I only wanted one package. So Nob Hill I can't trust your labeling on when I make a purchase. You can lied and rob someone else!!!!

Hard to explain. Just a completely unwelcoming building. The staff is indifferent and the stock is basic. The inventory is easily 1 to 2 dollars over the competitive price and the parking lot is littered with double parking jerks.

I generally run into one or more people I know when visiting the friendly folks at our local Nob Hill grocery store. Always a smile from those helping me. The store is clean and well organized. And the shelves are always well stocked. Great place to shop!

I love Nob Hill Foods! I'm very lucky to have a pharmacy in my area right inside store. Staff is always very helpful and courteous! Some of them even dance to the muzak with me!

Nob Hill is and has been part of the Hollister community for decades. Nice store, clean, quality meats and selection overall and great staff. Produce used to be higher quality. Please upgrade produce with the store remodel.

I shop here regularly. My husband got a head of lettuce that was bad, and he didn't notice. I took it back and asked to exchange it. Not only did they let me exchange it, they credited me the cost of the bad lettuce and didn't charge me for the new one. This is great customer service. Kudos, Nob Hill!

Pleasantly surprised at how good it was. But why oh why is it so expensive? Today everything I wanted was $4 or 5. It adds up fast. They have dried Morel mushrooms.I had my own special patch in Mt Shasta 10 years ago. Ambrosia!

Somethings might be a little more, but I can get a $5 steak and their meat is great. 12pk sodas usually on sale and cheaper than everyone else. Great bakery. Great fish. If you can't find an item in the other stores, I bet you they have it.

Sandwich spot within Nob Hill was appalling. Staff used same knife to dip into mayo and spread and then with the Mayo covered knife dipped it into the avocado spread. Strip of bacon was sitting in the jalapenos and when my spouse said no tomatoes she simply picked it off the sandwich and tossed it right back in the tomato tray. Didn't see her change her gloves.My spouse didn't care though, but as a vegetarian and a nurse seeing the cross contamination and filthy habits is disgusting.Overall, store in general is very clean and what's expected of a typical grocery store.

It's been years since the last time and promise it will be years again. Remodel looked great but went broke shopping there. I work for a chain myself. The big S and I thought we were overpriced, I think they only get business is. When we are busy. Lines were geat but only because they had 5 customers in the whole store

This store is getting worse by the day. Customer service has gone to the wayside. Now they just push the cart towards you and don’t even make eye contact. Oh and if you are going to let “baggers” work at the resister they should know their produce and not have to ask what a bag of grapes or cilantro are...seriously!! And no more putting your coupons on the counter you have “let them know” you have coupons. 🤦‍♀️

You know why I like Safeway better than Nob Hill? When I check out at Safeway, they ask me how I'm doing and if I found everything alright, regardless of whether or not I'm a regular. When I go to check out at Nob Hill, I'm lucky if I get asked if I want a bag. Sure, I'm not a regular at Nob Hill, but that shouldn't matter. They should be trying to keep me as a regular customer with their service, instead of having to be a regular customer to get their service. More like Snob Hill.
