12/4 UPDATE: I have been refunded the deposit I paid on 11/22.Got a new puppy, needed to get her shots. I scheduled an appointment last week Tuesday (before Thanksgiving) and paid new customer deposit ($75).I was able to get my puppy an earlier appointment elsewhere. So, I took the earlier appointment at a different vet office. Tried calling to Hercules Pet Clinic on Wednesday (before Thanksgiving) and Friday (after Thanksgiving) to cancel my appoinment and instead reschedule for next set of shots. Both days, I only got their answering system and when I tried to leave a message to cancel my appointment, the recording would just start over.Called in Monday morning at 11:30am (22hrs before my appointment) to cancel and reschedule to get the next set of shots for my puppy. But they advised I would be forfeiting my deposit because it was less than 24hrs. AND if I wanted to schedule a new appointment, I would need to pay another deposit. I explained I tried calling on Wednesday and Friday, and couldn't leave a message on their system (which they advised would have been sufficient to return my deposit). But I was just told it was an "auto generated charge".I live in Hercules and was looking to keep my business local. However, turned off by this "auto generated charge" and lack of flexibility. Their answering system was down.Rather take my money to an office where my business would be appreciated.

I'm pretty disappointed with my dogs dental visit. Scheduled him to get teeth cleaning and ended up needing extractions which I already assumed. They said they could do it and then didn't finish due to time. Fine, so I'll bring him back and put my senior dog under anesthesia again. I was really not happy that they didn't finish, but what really ticks me off is that they tried to charge me another $2600. This would have taken the total to about $5500 -$6000 for cleaning and 9 extractions. What the hell! And there's still tarter buildup on his teeth.

Nothing short of amazing - in a time where service seems to be lacking everywhere, these guys went above and beyond. Hercules Pet Clinic worked with me to get my dog the care he needed, when he needed it. From the first phone call, they were kind, courteous, honest and fair. The young woman who did all the preliminaries (Quincy?), she was so kind and great with my dog. The Dr, he was honest, fair and compassionate, he walked me through all the scenarios and all of my questions.I cannot recommend Hercules Pet Clinic enough. Highly highly highly recommend.

Staff at the Hercules Pet Clinic are all very nice and treated my pup very well. My dog is not afraid of going to the clinic even when vaccination is always in the cards when we visit.

I am totally agree ld with other reviewers here about they are money sucker. They don't have any good practices except testing after testing.They only know how to ask you to do bunch of testing for $$$ and afterward, not much diagnostics were performed or seeing the results.Like I don't mind spenting hundreds of dollars as long as it proven the care for my dogs.I would said avoid this place because they charge u so many things like bloodwork, xray and ultrasound and more. Because when the result come back normal, they unable to do diagnostics the problem, they will ask you to continue for more testing.Their vet Dr are new and inexperienced.Based on my opinion, for an experience vet, they should be able to identify your dogs problem when you tell them your dog's symptoms, since they been through care for so many , instead of being good heat, they just want you to go through those traps. Drain out your wallet to feed them.

everything people say about this being a money-grab operation is true. yesterday i had to fight tooth and nail for a $30 refund after they shortchanged me on medications, and then their CSR gave me incredibly contradictory information to the vet, vet tech, and the printed pill bottle label just so they can keep a tight grip on the $30 (by lying that they intentionally sent me home with less medication than prescribed, therefore it's not their fault. i almost laughed). FYI they have 2 versions of invoices, one that the customer sees and one they don't, so beware of that shady business.in general, if you ask them about your bill, refunds for incomplete service, or anything having to do with money, their smiley service immediately melts away, and they treat you as if you personally kicked their own pets, so basically save yourself the trouble and stay far far away

This team is kind, caring, compassionate and professional! Dr. Moffat and staff took excellent care of our kitty boy, and in a timely manner. They took time to thoroughly examine our cat, thoughtfully answer our questions and share their care recos, all while they were incredibly busy, yet never made us feel rushed.We're new to the area, and they went above and beyond to squeeze us into their already overloaded schedule. Great location, and plenty of parking too. We are happy to have found a trusted new veterinarian and pet clinic that we love. Thank you all!

So I was really confused about the service I received from this business, but after reading a few reviews, I see I’m not alone. This place is a total money grab and will jump at the first sign of giving you the worst possible diagnosis of your pet to get you to schedule more tests and spend more $$.I went in to get a hair follicle abscess drained from my dog’s paw. Upon arrival I tell them I just moved to the area, that my dog has a heart murmur, and that I’ve been working with my previous vet regarding her heart murmur for many years, and I do not need them to comment on it.They charged me $75 for the visit, then an additional $42 to shave my dog’s foot and “clean” it, but didn’t even drain the abscess - BUT the cherry on top of that was they told me I need to get X-ray tests done for my dog’s heart murmur that the vet estimates is a 6 out of 7, because the vet (who is very new to the field) said that my vet who’s been working with my dog for the last 7 years (and has been in the field for over 20 years) probably heard my dog’s heart murmur in a loud room and rated it lower than it actually was. On top of that, the staff never even took me to an exam room (the whole time i was there) to talk about this sensitive information- it was all improperly lectured to me in front of other patrons in the waiting room.I obviously was not super sweet and friendly back to them so they said that they’d refer me to another practice and that they could no longer help me. I don’t need you to refer me to anyone, I can find my own vet thanks much, but I am livid that I paid you $120 to drain my dog’s folicle abscess and you didn’t even do it! Shame on you for not doing what I paid for you and even bigger shame on you for guilting me into paying for tests when I told you before I even started my visit that I was already working with another vet for years on this and don’t need your uninformed comment.

They listen to your concerns and work with you.Tucker had major dental surgery today and I felt so comforted and supported.Quincy is a saint like vet tec and deserves a raise.The whole team is amazing! This place is a great alternative to the Pinole Pet Hospital (my pets visit both locations). This location is full of friendly and knowledgeable technicians and doctors. They are well equipped to deal with most, if not all of your pet concerns, procedures and wellbeing. ALOHA!

I called this place because it is nearby to where we live, I asked her to take an appointment for my kitten vaccination. She took my personal information in detail, in clouding my home address which made me feel uncomfortable, then she asked me to pay upfront a deposit over phone $75!!! I was astonished by this scammer! For what?! She said that how she operates … I have seen multiple Vet at multiple locations because we have multiple cats and we moved with our cats, this is the only scammer Vet who has no consideration about your pet but all intention is for scamming your money under excuse of Vet! I would want public to know that this place could harm your pet for money as they trying scamming without even see your pet! Don’t ever go this place, these people are money ill.

I have taken my dog/dogs to this establishment (specifically the one in Pinole) for over 15 years, I believe that they are "sister" facilities . Recently, I took my dog for his rabies shot and apparently was scheduled for a booster shot many weeks later. I don't remember getting a call, text, or an email for a confirmation and they charged my bank $50... This is the same amount of copay for an emergency room visit in thr place that I work for... Ridiculous!!!! I will NOT be going here anymore...

The manager and vet are extremely rude and ridiculous! They charged triple price than the other vet clinics, and they could not do their job well. They put my pet down to sleep and called us with a huge bill, and we started to double check what’s going on , then the manager started to become very rude in the phone. Then they did not take care of my pet and awake him directly without treatment. They are extremely irresponsible to pets, rude to customers , and charge a lot, then implied other clinics close by are not good. No1 worst vet clinic in history!————————————-As you has said from yelp, you want to talk to us to know more information, and we would like to discuss this with you for sure. They don't always answer their phones or return your calls even after several attempts. However when you are able to get ahold of someone they are friendly and generally helpful. The vet techs and docs during the visits are very informative and friendly. Came by a twice to pick up medicine for my dog during their supposed business hours, but the office was closed which was very inconvenient as I have to take time off work.

We take our corgi here not only for convenience, but we really appreciate Dr. LeJeune's commitment to our pet's health and happiness. Staff is friendly and they do their best to be transparent about the costs.Update: Dr LeJeune is no longer there but we had a good appointment with Dr Boyle. She took the time to answer our many questions after our corgi showed signs of a limp and gave us the options without pressuring us towards a certain one.

The vet is very friendly the same as the staff we list one of our fur babys early this year & we had a very nice card from them all at the vets now we r dealing with our other fur baby who loves going & seeing every one there as she gets every body to notice her lol the clinic & staff r really good to all our animals during this time of need not fur to us but more important to our fur babys too ,myself & my husband can't wait for the day when they can open there doors again to us all so we can meet just who is taking care of our baby girl & to have that person to person contact again ,Do thank you all for all your hard work & taking care as best to can of our fur baby lola

Once again Hercules Pet Clinic pulls “Our Sweet Girl” through difficult health challenges. She is 10 yr.’s old and a 140 lb. Great Pyrenees… so 2 recent surgeries in a 3 week period with anesthesia had me quite anxious. But she came through remarkably well due to the wonderful team at the clinic. A sure sign of how well they personally treat her is after multiple surgeries, procedures, and more she never hesitates to go back. I also reeeeeeeally appreciate them starting out conservatively in treatment plan, while explaining everything thoroughly, including the finances. Thank you Hercules Pet Clinic for your expertise and puppy love💖!!

Very kind vet. They are covid aware and still helping pets in need. We found and kept a puppy during this shut down and have been taking her here. As I wait outside for my pup, I see other parents checking in their pets and how excited they all are to see their nurse friends come out to say hi to them. You can see these people care and love our pets. The pets clearly feel it and seem very comfortable here. Which is amazing to see at a vet. They have always been patient with my questions, kind and loving to my dog, and prioritize to time sensitive visits. Love love love this place.

We unexpectedly lost our little boy very suddenly. They were able to squeeze him in for an emergency visit and tried everything they could to save him. My partner and I were so heartbroken and the staff at Hercules went out of their way for us during the tragedy. We felt they genuinely cared and made the process of bringing him back him home as smooth as possible. We'll always be greatful for the kindness the staff at Hercules Pet Clinic showed us. We take our dog to Hercules Pet Clinic. They are now allowing people to come in with masks on and attend the checkups with the Doctor in a private room. We had our dog neutered and all went well. Appointments can be made online, email or by calling in. Staff is friendly and its no contact payment with your credit card on file with the clinic.They sell pet foods and flea and tick treatmentsThe location is convenient - located in a strip mall with parking lot.

Very friendly and professional staff made me feel comfortable bringing my feline friend in to take care of an abscess on his chin. While I had to pay the emergency fee to get seen immediately, because nearly every veterinarian in the area is impacted with a waiting list, they were able to perform the procedure and give shots without a sedative, which saved me about 30% on the days costs. What's more, these guys don't try to cross sell you and promote other products, like other vets in the area (I'm looking at you VCA). I'll definitely give them a call next time for my cat's needs.

Truly the kindest most professional group I have ever worked with. Dr. Wehren is a pro. My dog is 13 and after really having had it with the last vet’s lack of sensitivity towards my dog or me I found this place last year. He likes these folks and is more cooperative because of how they treat him. I trust their advice.

I have a healthy 3 year old cat who gets regular yearly exams every March, and the only prescription she uses is “Revolution Plus” against flees and ticks.Today I found out that I can get the same medication online through a well known US pet food and pharmacy supplier, for $70 dollars less.After I ordered it online and filled in all the required veterinarian information, I received a callback from the pharmacy informing me that my clinic doesn’t want work with them directly. So I phoned the clinic and requested the hard copy prescription so I can personally mail it.Long story short, contrary to all normal and expected health business practices, I could not obtain that prescription.The supplied reasons were:- your cat’s Dr doesn’t work here any more, she works for our sister clinic in Pinole ( so no other Dr could sign it without another physical…What is the purpose of “The Sister Clinic” in that case?)- your cat hasn’t been seen here for a long time (according to the chart they instantly pulled she was seen in February this year for the regular annual physical by their sister clinic in Pinole, to which they personally sent me because of the COVID pandemic and said they are interchangeable)- when asked how come they easily sold me the same thing in May this year (for $70 more) they responded - it was issued by a technician (????)None of this makes any sense to a regular customer. They could have easily been very helpful to a customer, especially having all of my cat’s information, chart with regular physicals, and previous history of purchasing the very same prescription on their computer system.But that wasn’t a goal here, unfortunately.
