The store is a little stuffed after merging with Dollar Tree, but at least they got to keep their name. The employees are all very helpful and didn’t loose their cool when all three registers simultaneously froze for a couple of minutes. Way to go! Without this store the whole community would be miserable.

I love this Family Dollar store in Silver Lakes! I needed some fabric Febreze & also found much needed Simply Saline spray & lip saving Aquaphor. Excellent prices and the staff is ALWAYS upbeat, pleasant & super helpful.

Anyone who shops here should double check the prices on the shelves and their receipt. They always add more than what's advertised. Hamburger buns were advertised as $1.25. The lady at the counter was going to charge me $1.65. I had to correct them. Also if you buy multiple pizzas, they will take the highest priced one and charge that price for all of them. While buying 1 stuffed crust and 1 rising crust they charged me the price of the stuffed crust for both even though the rising crust is a whole 2 dollars cheaper. Double check their prices.Also the staff Is beyond lazy. Boxes stacked in every aisle blocking items and making everywhere a tripping hazard. Good luck pushing a cart through. Let alone if you have a stroller. For so many boxes everywhere, the essentials are out of stock all the time.

What happened to this place after it merged? The place is constantly a mess. Months after their merger there are still boxes piled in the aisles at all hours. Rarely more than 1 cashier even when the line is 5+ deep, and end caps stuck right in aisles, can barely squeeze through...the place is a complete mess all the time now. Most of the stuff is out of stock, from medicine to drinks to household stuff. Yet the aisles full of boxes?

This is my favorite place to shop in the Silver Lakes and Helendale area. They always have what I need you’ll find almost everything for your home and favorite snacks. They are all very friendly and helpful. Always greeting there customers with a welcome and smiles and that makes you joyous to shop.

Went To This Family Dollar In Helendale, Bought A Good Amount Of Things. I Asked For Change, And The Employee Josue Questioned Me Of Where I Came From. He Wanted To Know Where I Lived, In Order To Give Me Change. He Then Refused To Give Me Change Because I Didn’t Feel Comfortable Telling Him My Address. I Understand If They Did Not Have Change, But To Ask Where I Live Is Unacceptable. Will Never Go Back To This Location.

This place is a mess, you can't even walk through the aisles, several of the food items were torn open as if people were eating them right off the shelves, the cashier was extremely rude so I asked to speak to the manager on duty, the assistant manager (I didn't catch her name, she was a middle-aged white woman) was even worse than the cashier...AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Staff always ask if I am finding everything okay, etc. The only thing I suggest is the public to allow us to use the rest room. I come from work about 80 miles away and since I know the bathroom is never open, sometimes I have to go home and sometimes going home makes me decide not t o go to Family Doll a r at all. Just a suggestion.

The cashiers are rude horrible attitudes towards customers when we got cash back the little snooty kid threw the cash and my receipts at my mom and I! If I had his attitude runing my real estate business I would be out of business!!!The only reason why we still go there is because of the prices nothing more nothing less

I visit Family Dollar just about everyday. The customer service is wonderful, the merchandise I shop for is always in stock. The prices can't be beat. It's an all round wonderful experience.
