I live in Rohnert Park. My experiences with Garrett's in Healdsburg has been so positive that I will drive the distance . It's the employees that make the difference compared to other hardware and garden stores. Even the way they answer their phone, so friendly.

Garrett’s is such a great local hardware store. They carry almost anything you need and there’s always somebody to help you. Plus the gift horse is a great place to shop for kitchen ware or anything to fancy up your home!

I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing any kind of equipment requiring service at this store. I bought a mower from them a year ago, and it worked fine until the drive belt went bad, which isn't unusual. The unusual part is that I've been waiting 6 weeks for it to be fixed. They now say they'll order the belt and call me when it's ready. Steer clear of this outfit!

Wasn't a good experience this time. Usually I have good experiences there. I needed to exchange my propane for a cookout this weekend and I was told they did have but they don't have, whatever that means. It is their product, so I took it to the gas station and got it filled. I am suppose to be asked if I am a Rewards member so my purchase will go towards it and he didn't ask. So after the purchase I asked him what about my rewards and he said we don't do that.....lol.

Best hardware store around! And the gift horse tucked behind the hardware store is just an absolute treat for fancy decor and kitchen and Home goods! Absolutely lovely!

Great assistance, great selection, competitive prices, short drive -- I couldn't ask for much more.Today, I was looking for adhesive for aluminum. In addition to a recommendation for epoxy, I got information on the importance of good cleaning to remove the layer of the aluminum oxide layerthat interferes with getting a good bond.That's the kind of assistance I appreciate, whether in the paint department, the garden shop, hardware, or gift shop. That level of expertise is rare in the big box stores, or they are so busy you have to wait a long time for someone to help.Garrett's is always my first stop when looking for almost anything.

Went in asking for a custom cut piece of wood for a sign and the guy in the shop area said absolutely I can do that ma'am.I love shopping here!They always seemed to have a solution for what I need or fixing something that is broken. I used the shop for screens and other broken things around the house.

Great experience at Garrett today. Jim in hardware went above and beyond helping me to repair a broken wheel on my ski bag. I heartily recommend going to Garrett and looking up Jim for any project that you need help with!

Open 8a-6p on SundayOpen 7a-7p on Monday-SaturdayThey have stray cats they take care of in the store. I was looking at batteries when a stray tail popped out of nowhere and shocked the hell out of me.The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Cute girls at the register too on a machismo note.

Prior to Memorial Day, we wanted to fly a new American Flag. There is a proper way of "retiring" the flag and Ace Hardware in Healdsburg has a collection box to make sure the flags are handled properly. Make sure you use this service to respectfully retire your American Flag. Thank you Ace Hardware for this service.

Its overpriced and overstaffed everything you can expect from an ace hardware!! I would rate lower because of the sheer markup on items. But they are very well stocked and have many somewhat obscure items you can expect from those dying mom and pop stores. Not to say this is one, it's an ace the place where they charge you more than any other place!

Lots of household fixer up items and employees are very helpful. The downside is everything in the store is 20-30% more expensive than Home Depot, Liwes, Amaxon, etc. So I only buy if less than $10 or so

We visit Garrett's whenever we need anything. From paint, to plumbing and electrical fixtures, you can always count on the staff there to be helpful and knowledgeable, unlike the big box stores, where you usually have some kid who only covers one department.Plus, Garrett's has been part of the community and has supported the community for years. It's certainly worth spending a bit more here; the money stays in the community. Additionally, one must factor in the time saved by shopping in town.

As a professional this place is very unorganized. Especially when needing items from the warehouses. Some of the employees I've encountered when asking where the lumber is, or where the drywall is, pointed me in different directions and each claimed that I needed to do something different to aquire each one. 2 of them had to ask someone else in regards to how I get the lumber. Not to mention, upon paying for the lumber and driving around back, I had to pick through the worst bundle of 2x6s I've ever seen. The ratio of acceptable boards was maybe 4 out of 10 "acceptable" boards. I feel that this particular store has no competitionfrom other stores, resulting in a vibe of complacency with inefficient procedures, disorganization and poor cross training of employees. However, the products (excluding lumber) are fine and the employees are friendly. The store is fine for the home owner, but a poor choice for professionals who are not familiar with their sloppy way of running this store.

I went in with a very odd fastener request . I was immediately assisted by their hardware person , she led me to the fact it being order only , then had a guy get what would work in an allen head , instead of factory torx head. Extra mile , all with a smile , could not have had a better outcome . 5 stars !!!!!

There are not very many real hardware stores anymore, Garrett is among the best,Besides a great hardware section, the home store and. Garden section are just fun to poke aroundThey dont make them like this anymore

Incredible selection of tools, hardware, building supplies, plants, garden supplies, automotive items, home decor, etc. Lots of friendly helpful people will get you what you want fast. If you can't find it here you probably don't need it!

Typical Ace. All new shelf organization, lots of red shirts, all too busy to offer help. Typically Ace, no one ever acknowledges ever seeing you before even though you are in there at least twice a week.
