Great store, terrible people. Store employee accuse people of shoplifting base on appearance.After a wonderful dinner with the Fam, we decided to check out this beautiful bookstore. Didn’t really see any books I wanted but still wanted to support local business. So I got a calendar and paid for it at the register.As we were leaving the store, one of the employees literally chased us and said loudly “DID YOU PAY FOR THAT?” I explained that I paid at the register and she is welcome to check with the employee at the register. Even as we went inside and confirmed that I actually paid for the calendar, not a single thank you or acknowledge as to what she has just done. Having spent half an hour in the store, no a single other patrons were stopped.Simply say, can I see your receipt or explain to the customer afterwards why you are stopping them but not all the other patrons is a bare minimum for a store that is all about community and knowledge.Words matter, especially for bookstores.At the end of the day, the business can of course ask to see the receipt. However, when you start by accusing someone of stealing, that is called profiling. I don’t fit the typical description of their customers but that is no way a ground to suspect me of shoplifting.Beautiful books but can’t say the same about people who work there.

Lovely little bookstore with friendly staff and book recommendations on the shelves. I found some great books as presents and was delighted to see they had a free gift wrapping service. Will definitely pop by again when I am in the area

Absolutely delightful book store in Healdsburg. I love reading the staff picks. The little notes are so beautifully descriptive and makes me really excited to read their curations ! Must stop whenever I'm in Healdsburg.

Exactly what you want when stepping into a bookstore! They have nice lighting, a large selection, and even a couple adorable cats to add to the lovely curl-up-with-a-book-and-some-tea atmosphere 📚 The staff has proven themselves to be very helpful and genuinely interested in what YOU are looking for - thank you for creating a space that encourages browsing, mingling, and finding new literary treasures, would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Amazing book store. Although they have a huge range of titles, the whole place feels as if it carefully curated. Knowledgable and friendly staff and several book shop pets. This is what book stores should all be like and makes me want to visit the area again just to bruse some more!

Copperfield's has a great selection of local interest and national books. They have a great section for kids, and the associates are knowledgeable and helpful.
