Love coming here every time I'm visiting family. Their reptiles are always active and healthy and I would love to take one home sometime. however I have one of my own and oftentimes need to buy feeders for him while I'm here. the feeders are quite expensive but you do get a lot of them. I buy the hornworms ($22.+tax).

One of my new favorite spots in the area. The people are great. The environment is awesome. I just got my newest member of the family from here along with everything needed to care for him.Definitely going to be going in more often.

Please don't support this place. It's infamous for a reason (despite the shockingly high rating on Google).I really wanted to like this place; the drive from my house isn't long, and the architecture looks great, but I just can't after seeing what I saw.Animals are seriously neglected, seemingly for weeks or even months at a time (water bowls don't get that moldy in just a week.) They were either lethargic or desperately trying to escape.Adults are inappropriately kept together. Enclosures are tiny with no enrichment, and sometimes no hides.Avoid this place. Most others recommended East Bay Vivarium, though I haven't been there myself.

My son has been waiting and prepping for a pet snake for a few months. We went to Petco to get the cage but the staff had no clue and no help, nice but looked at us crazy for wanting info. Reptile Room is Soo much more helpful than a bigger dept. I don't even like snakes that much, but almost brought home a rescue snake too! Thank you!Our sweet Eve could not travel with us, they have taken very good care of her!!!

This is an absolute gem in this town. I was absolutely surprised that such a specialized store exists in town and in such a nice location. The building is incredible, all made of glass. Inside you get a lot of supplies, reptile food and a vast selection of reptiles, snakes, dragons, chameleons, and arachnid. The staff is the most kind and knowledgeable. Incredible place.

I had a fantastic experience with Reptile Room. I have wanted abronia for a long time and the manager was incredibly helpful in procuring a pair for me. I had a custom cage designed and built to my specific needs which arrived in only three weeks. The cage and lizards were priced well considering a generic terrarium would have been much smaller and nearly the same amount. The owner was in constant contact with me regarding when the lizards would arrive. I sincerely appreciate all of their help.

Came here just to see the reptiles but loved it! They had a Blue Tongue Skink and TONS of beardies. The people working were friendly and knowledgeable. If I had money and a proper set up ready to go at home, I would've bought that Skink in a heart beat. Lovely store.

I will give this store 1 star and let me tell you why honestly. If I could give minus star I will do so. -5.I went to the store with my friend to visit the store because we see that they have one panther chameleon and we really want to get one.We asked for suggestions of setups and food for the pet and they explained a bit. So far so good. Then they suggested that they can offer a full setup packet for the chameleon if we buy it together with the container box, UVA, heat light, branch, soil etc. I was asking if we do so, will they be able to do any discount, and they say yes, for 10% off. That sounded reasonable, so I asked them to go ahead and calculated the overall price. Here is where things started to go wrong.They said it was 1000 USD after the discount. That sounded unreasonable to me, since chameleon was 500 USD, the container was 200 USD, the rest of stuff couldn't add up to 300 USD. Then I asked them to list out the items in the set, and I found out that they put the more expensive option which was 300 USD for container. I asked them to change back and they did so. The 200 USD container was not out of the box though, it was just put outside. But I believed them and thought there won't be any problem.When we went back home, we noticed that one door corner of the container was BROKEN and I drove smoothly all way. When I called them for this issue, they said everything is FINAL SALE, all items are 100% in perfect condition and they doubted if I broke it in highway. Well, that's hilarious, if they don't believe me that I didn't break the container, why should I believe them that everything is 100% perfect? Not to mention that the lamp is also broken. It is in a brand new box, but when we turned on the switch, the light wasn't on.So, where is your 100% "perfect" condition?-5 stars no doubt. If you are interested in panther chameleon, go online or somewhere else and never come to this store.

I think saying that you take surrenders and rescues defeats the purpose if you don’t take animals that have issues.I understand needing to watch out for your other animals, but maybe listen to the entire health history before telling somebody no. I have a bearded dragon she’s calcium deficient because she produces a lot of eggs but her body can’t keep up with the production. And we can’t afford to keep buying the calcium she needs from the vet. Once she receives that calcium, she’s perfectly fine. The reason I want to surrender her is because that medicine is very costly. And I think it’s unfortunate because I’m not happy to have to resort to this, but I want her to live nobody wants to watch their pet die.

I went in to just look around for my daughters birthday and this younger gentleman I think name was Logan was very knowledgeable of everything in there. My daughter fell for a baby tortoise and the clerk set me up with a whole package that didn’t break the bank. I went from knowing nothing about tortoises to being confident with a baby one. I asked a lot of questions and he answered all of them no matter how stupid it may have sounded. Now my daughter has a lifelong friend better than any toy.

Despite the 4.5 star rating, I came to check this place out after reading all the bad reviews and they’re right. The Bearded Dragons, Ackie Monitors, Uromastyxs and Frilled Dragons had lights on which is important for their health but some of the other tanks were not on. There were two massive tanks full of Russian Tortoises, one had a Red Foot Tortoise in there with them which is bad to mix two different species because they carry different types of disease, bacteria and parasites. The other Russian Tortoises in the other tank all looked dead. None of tanks had hides and were small.

Terrible husbandry. Their poor animals are crammed in cages 1/5 the actual size they need, the merchandise is double the price you can get online, and there are crickets running on the ground. The entire store reeks of poop. The ball pythons were stuffed into small cages too tiny for a hamster. They didn't have under tank heaters, any humidifiers (or ways to get humidity), all they had were a couple of heat lamps. I'm not surprised this store is still in business, there were a lot of young uneducated people looking around inside. Save your money and shop online or at a store that actually cares for its animals, don't support this shop.

We went in to buy snake food mice.They had one(uno)1 left.The old guy charged us 4 DOLLARS for just one.Much cheaper and well stocked at the vivarium.NOT GOING BACK

I am amazed by how high this place is rated, possibly reviews are being deleted but I’m uncertain. The amount of complete neglect in the store is insane. Leopard geckos were severely underweight, it’s hard to mess up leopard gecko care, blue tongue skinks were sickly looking (nearly bones), most tanks didn’t have any hides at all or were stupidly small. None of the snakes looked like they had proper weight on them either. I left the store beyond angry.

Amazing reptile room. I am currently doing exposure therapy to get over my fear of snakes so I went here to see the snakes and they could not have been nicer. They made me feel very comfortable and helped me work up to touching a snake (something I never thought I'd do)! Wonderful, kind people.

I buy my crickets here for my scorpion and everybody is always so cool. The guys are always helpful and nice.Not sure what these other reviews are talking about!!!!!This is the best place in town to get a reptile or any accessoriesPeople will dump their reptiles outside of the building and the guys will bring them in and care for them. What other place does that!?

Nice people. Good variety of reptiles and arachnids. Inexpensive live food for both. You can get everything you need there if you are just starting out. If they don't have what you are looking for you can add it to the waiting list and they will get it and call you when it's in. They also offer birthday party packages in case you want to look and learn but not take the critters home.

Great staff!! I WISH i remembered their name but the one employee there when we went to buy a spider + tank was so wonderful. They were super busy with a lot of customers and still very attentive and helpful. (tall, blond, good eyeliner, you know who you are, i hope you get a raise, thanks) Good prices, too. We love our little tarantula friend and will be going back for feeder bugs even though we live too far away to justify it, really. Fun place, full of lizard pals and bins of bugs. Thank you!

Not sure why this place has so many 5 star reviews when they do obviously neglect their animals. The conditions that they keep animals in are abysmal.Anyone who supports this place is either being paid of or is severely uneducated and needs to learn proper husbandry. This is just sad.

I 100% can't believe I've just now gave them a review. This place is great and Logan is crazy knowledgable. They have great prices, and if they DON'T have it they generally are getting it in soon. I am there literally four times a month, and super glad these guys are still doing well post Covid, because everywhere else pales in comparison. Highly recommend.
