This store restocks their shelves once a month or so. I found a sugary item that I loved, so over about a week-long period, I ended up buying them all. WEEKS went by without them restocking the obviously empty shelf section. Almost a month later, they finally filled the section back up. The entire front half of the newly-stocked sugary treat... was stale. Visibly expired from LAST year. The in-date ones were behind the out-of-date ones. They wanted to sell the expired food items! I've since bought up all the in-date ones again, and, on the shelf now, is nothing but the expired, stale ones. This has happened with other food items as well, and it is unacceptable. If they stocked their shelves in a timely fashion, the products wouldn't go out of date before they're ever put on the shelf. There's no reason it should take a MONTH to replenish their shelves. Most of those items they have in the back, waiting to be put out anyway! If you ask them to go back and check for something, the answer is always an immediate "whatever we have is on the shelf" which means "I don't want to go look for it. It'll be on the shelf when it's on the shelf". In addition to this, random things throughout the store are locked up in glass cases. Antiperspirant, hairspray, brand-name OTC medications, to make a few. So customers have to notify an employee when we want to purchase a locked item... and wait for one to show up. Might be minutes... might be on the third time calling for someone. I don't know WHY... they're certainly not busy stocking their shelves! Whether it's laziness or incompetence, I don't know, but it doesn't matter. Instead of watching your customers at the self-checkout like a hawk, maybe go in the back, go through your expired items, discard them, and restock your shelves with in-date product before the shelves have to sit, bare, for weeks on end. Maybe your satisfaction rating would go up from 2.3 to... 2.4. šš¤

Except for the pharmacist person, this CVS in Half Moon Bay has the best trained staff at of any other "drug store" I've experienced in my 70 plus years! And it starts at the top!!! The general manager, Phil, is always easy to find as he's either stocking shelves, helping little old ladies like I and/or checking out folks to keep the lines moving. The latter is especially great cuz I will NOT do that self-checkout! It is WAAAAY too easy to miss scanning an item and you can wind up "swiping" alright. Out the door by accident without paying! And when I've discovered, even once at home 4 miles away, I take it back next trip cuz is the right thing to do for the store!!! And my conscience of course :-)

I am disappointed. I am pissed. This worker ( man ) followed us around the entire store while my sister and my friend were trying to buy Christmas presents. He and this other worker acted like we were stealing makeup. The lady said ā Iām not going to let them get away with this, I know their plan ā the workers were making faces, starting us, pointing, talking about us next to us, and passing notes in front of us. We paid right in front of them and he watched us the entire time a foot away. Once we left they pointed and talked and stared once again. Bad bad employees. We were just trying to get a present for my mother. I felt my personal bubble was being poped. I donāt need someone spitting on my face while Iām trying to buy something for my mother! Like youāre just weird and not helping at all.

I wish I could pick zero stars. I was shopping for Christmas presents and this old male worker followed me around the store from the moment I walked through the doors til I walked out. He was like 2 feet away from my face. Iām pretty sure he thought I was stealing because I was wearing a backpack. Him and this other worker kept asking us what we were doing⦠what do you think we were doing?? We are shopping! They kept talking about us, questioning us, passing notes about us? Like dude chill your beans im getting a present for my mother. I felt my personal bubble being popped, like leave me alone give me some space. I donāt like hmb cvs the workers are so weird. I donāt need someone breathing on my neck while Iām checking out.

Even though I have been going to this CVS for over 10 years I will avoid it now at all costs. There is never an easy check-out and staff often refuse to bag your purchases. Usually just one cashier who also has to attend to all the self-checkout problems.

The CVS website says the pharmacy is open on Saturdays from 9-6. I drive over to the store.They have a hand written sign taped to a chair in front of the pharmacy saying closed from 1 - 1:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Ok, I can understand that the staff need a lunch break, but the hours on the website should be updated.So I go to the store manager. His response, "I wouldn't even know who to talk to about that".

This is the dirtiest CVS we have ever been to. I came twice during our stay in Half Moon Bay and each time I only saw 1 employee. No welcome, no acknowledgement, which is fine when they're "busy" but what exactly are they doing?!? The carpet looks like it hasn't been vacuumed for weeks, much less shampooed. The shelves are not stocked and some items are mislabeled.I say, come here if you must, but it wouldn't be my ideal shopping store. Unfortunately, Safeway didn't have what I was looking for, which is why I came here.

Scheduled for flu and COVID vaccine. After checking in at the pharmacy desk and on the CVS store website, I waited 30 minutes.Finally the lady giving the shots told me that I hadn't checked in and needed to do it manually.15 minutes later, I was told that my flu shot would cost me money unless I waited a week (I decided against that).When I asked for my COVID vaccine, I was told it wasn't on my appointment.Including my drive, CVS's crummy system wasted 2 hours of my time.

Big store with huge liquor department. Only one person at front register and two arrogant, rude people in the pharmacy. Only a couple of customers in the whole store. Pharmacists acted annoyed when I politely asked for help finding something on the shelves that was supposed to be in stock. Front counter person said she couldnāt check stock from her register and to ask at pharmacy, both pharmacy people just said thy didnāt know if they had the product and said to ask at the front or just look in the aisles by myself because they had never seen the product, even though I explained online the website said it was in stock at their store. They acted like I was a distraction even though there were only a couple of other shoppers in the grocery area and no lines anywhere. They told me to just find or order it online. I went home found it on the main CVS website and returned the next day to search it out myself in a nearly empty store. I finally found it and did self checkout because there was no clerk at the register. Bottom line was that the pharmacists were rude too arrogant to help a general customer and the store is understaffed with people who just donāt care. I will only shop there when there is no other choice.

Not only are they horribly inefficient but the attitudes of the actual pharmacists are atrocious (except Lyn sheās awesome). Cut the attitude and do your job, if you chose a mind numbing career working for an awful corporation, thatās on you.

This is by far the worst pharmacy Iāve ever been too. Definitely doesnāt provide the service Iām used to from CVS over the 20 years. Iām unsure if itās just this location or if this is just what CVS is now but If you want your medications on time and not be given the runaround, go elsewhere.Just editing this to say: if anyone else is tired of dealing with this cvs, thereās a rite aid right across the street thatās incredible. Iām not exaggerating at all when I say, the worst pharmacy Iāve ever been to is across the street from probably the best one Ive used. Since switching I no longer have to worry about the pharmacist thinking theyāre above my doctor and deciding when I get my refills, instead of my doctor and for those of us that are unable to miss a day with our meds, that peace of mind is priceless. Seriously, go to rite aid.

I had one of the worst experience at this location. The man who is "manager" (Phill) was the most rude, disrespectful and unprofessional person I have met. Due to their short staff there were only two registers opened. He was on one of course ringing people up. My mother and I were waiting on one side of a register and for some reason this man thinks we are cutting the line and yells āI hate wen people cut in line!ā and calls out the other people who are on the other register to cut in front of us to pay and after awhile then tells me āthereās only one lineā . This Does not make any sense as typically each register has had their own line in the past. Usually if there is two registers open there should be two lines! After there was no line on the other register he says ā ok now what do you needā making us feel discriminated and humiliated. I was shocked at the situation and had a hard time trying to understand his rude behavior. I feel it could have been handled differently as he could have simply said there is a sign saying āone line" (which there was no sign). This man doesnāt deserve a management position if he is handling costumer service this way. Very disappointed.

By far the worst Famasist specialy the main Famasist thinks she owns the world and everything is a But with her... She Ithe worst will never buy anything nor refill anything at the CVS in Half Moon Bay.. Horrible how can they deny or make a big deal to refill a pain med after back surgery... Sad Sad and dissatisfaction by %100 will never step a foot at that place... and I will send all family to rite aid..or mom and pop farmacy.DO NOT GO!!!!GO ELSWERE!!!

Normally wouldnāt bother writing a review for a CVS but stopped in for a car charger & it took nearly 45 mins to get someone to unlock the cage it sat in despite an employee knowing I was waiting for her to come. Really poor service.

I have relied on CVS for as long as they have benn there and Rite-Aid before that. Many, many times the pharmacy staff has gone to great lengths to help me with my various pharmacy needs. These are great people you can trust with your needs.

I've called 3 times from Amen Clinics in Hollywood FL and every single time they answer put it in Mute and won't talk and keep me there on the phone for 20-30 mts and then hang up on me. this is not acceptable !

This place never has what I need. last time I asked the pharmacist for a boric water and he said he never heard of this. I had to help myself looking for the eye care section which doesn't exist. the consultation desk service is horrible, they just want to get rid of you and send you to the aisles for nothing.6
