On the way to visit Amstrong Redwood park, we stopped by this Safeway to get some food and use the restroom.Food: my mother-in-law got some sushi. It was okay. Not bad but not amazing so something you'd expect from Safeway. Produce looked decent to me.Service: we didn't interact with anyone and we used self-checkout so I can't comment much about customer serviceAmbiance: this Safeway has lots of parking. Inside seems a little small and old. Not the worst but in general, just okay.Restroom: restrooms from a grocery store is usually not super clean and this one isn't an exception. They have 2 restrooms for both men & women, way in the back (if you're near the self-checkout, just go straight to the back and you'll see it). I'm not sure how clean they were but the look of the restrooms themselves and the surrounding made me feel they were dirty. Safeway could improve this for their employees too.

Nice clean aisles, the people in the deli section were friendly and recommended me to some ribs that were half price. I will say the cashiers may need to pick up the pace a bit when it comes to talking to the customers and trying to move through the line. The Starbucks inside was nice. I will say there are lots of bugs on the display pastries so just beware.

Nice, clean store with a lot of options. Very well stocked and maintained. Prices are not bad for being so distant from much else. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely sign up for the Safeway club to take advantage of member pricing. Staying in town for a week and was able to get everything we need for the house in 1 trip. Highly recommend!

The store itself is okay. The online shopping and pickup is awful. First order was available on time, There were items missing and poor substitutions. I ordered Swansons chicken broth, I got a store brand of Fat Free broth. I ordered Campbells Cream of Potato Soup and got a store brand of disgusting, out of date Potato soup. I ordered Fat free half and half I got no half and half at all.The next day at 9 am I ordered a few more items and the order was to be ready at Noon. We got a notice that they were running behind. At 1 we were in town and hoping to pick up our 12:00 order. After two phone calls, first calling the pick up number then calling back the main store number at the instruction of the first employee, we were assured by the shopper, after 10 minutes on hold, that the order had been canceled as she had not started shopping it yet. A lie.We went in the store to get the items ourselves and also found the soup, bread, half and half and chicken broth I had ordered the day before that had been substituted or just not bought. Every item was right where it should be, next to the items that were erroneously bought the previous day. It then took 2 days to get the order canceled, leaving the pending charge on my credit card. Bad experience all the way around.

What’s cool about the Safeway is it reminds me of the old drug stores and five and dimes that you went to while going camping or on day trips to the river this place has it all great sandwiches my daughter got me a birthday cake there fishing gear flip-flops all the silly stuff you buy when you go on vacation as well as quality food but it’s cool to go someplace you can find all that stuff that you couldn’t find or forgot when you started your vacation plus folks it’s in Guerneville :-) which has a lot of great shops to

They no longer carry Sonoma Brinery Whole Dill Pickles. I was told it's because of room. They are a true pickle because they are made from Brine. I'm not sure what my options are now where to find them. 🤔

I had to run in twice within a couple of minutes. The first time, I needed help with the sale price of an item-an older lady who worked there - quickly ran to find the price and fix the issue. I returned a few minutes later for two 20-lb bags of ice. An oblivious young man who worked there watched me struggle with the 40lbs of ice, didn't greet me, smile, offer help, or anything.

Rebekah has made my experience at Safeway so pleasant that I had to come leave a good review. She usually works the drive up and go, and when she’s working, it always a great experience. She’s usually always on time, and has all star customer service & communication. If there’s any reason she’s ever running late, she comes out to let me know why. You can tell she’s just a genuinely good person who cares for others. I’m really thankful for her!

While visiting San Francisco--I always head to this particular Safeway located just outside the Castro District. Safeway IS MY SHOPPING PLEASURE!I never quite know what I am in need of before entering the front doors, but I always come out with many bags in my shopping cart! This is a very busy store, as are most stores in this area--and yet, they win me over every single time with their great Guest Service and awesome array of items to purchase.I love my Safeway...again, located just outside the Castro in San Francisco!

This cannot go overlooked, bought steak on Cinco de Mayo. Already seasoned as “chili lime”. After cooking it was absolutely in inedible, so much salt and seasoning it was like biting into a block of salt, there has to be some kind of quality control because that was disgusting. The public needs to know somebody has to be accountable. A real market would know what they are doing.

I just moved back to the area after 7 years away. I am used to shopping at the big stores. Big Safeways, Trader Joes, Costco etc.. It was a shock how small this Safeway was. I never thought of it as small but it is. The interesting thing about it is despite its size, everything on my list was there. Its just a bit more compact. Plus it was like old home week, running into people I haven't seen in years. The pharmacy tech was excellent, the checker efficient. All in all it was a good experience. When you are grocery shopping that's all you can hope for...

It is a much smaller store compared to other Safeway's in the area. Due to it's small size the selection is limited and honestly the aisles don't make much sense as far as arrangement. What bumped it up from 3 stars to 4 was the employees. Everyone i interacted with and even over heard talking as I shopped were super friendly. The lady that dealt with me to correct an error in my discounts was amazing and super helpful!

I go here at least 3 times a week do to the fact I live near the store. Also most of the employees are very kind down to earth people. Although there's a few I don't like but its a great neighbor Safeway to go to with mostly kind people that are very sweet and helpful when you need it.

20 minute lines everyday ... that has to stop. Please.The only thing I like about this store is the employees and the fact that they allow people to bring their little emotional support dogs in. The support dogs and their owners to often get treated like they dont deserve to be somewhere because their illness is not visible. Emotional support animals are there to help people with severe anxiety and depression to find the courage to shop for themselves or enjoy a sit down meal somewhere with out being alone. So, I give this Safeway and many other shops in Guerneville kudos for creating a place where everyone can go and feel ok.

I am writing this as it seems it is the only way to get anyone to respond. I tried calling but was only passed around and put on hold over and over. This store seems to intentionally put their least capable people on the sandwich making line at the deli. I watched as a huge line of people waited in exasperation while two poorly trained employees plodded along at near comically slow speeds. Many customers just gave up and left. When I tried to politely suggest to a person at the help desk that more experienced and able employees should be selected for the role I was informed that one of the two on the line was developmentally disabled. Why on earth would you force someone with a cognitive disability to do the most challenging job in the store while people far more able are casually stocking shelves in plain view? It's not a failure of the employee, but rather a failure of management.

They are all so slow in there, I went to get 1lb of bacon at the meat counter and it seriously took 7 min. I actually timed them this time because of last experiences in there, and they rarely have sale items in stock at the day the ad starts usually 3 to 4 days after. I do like the little lady inside directing people to the check stands, she is super sweet 😄

Today I had the pleasure, Nay! The honor of being served a handcrafted sandwich by Bobby in the deli.I can tell you now, I've never been treated with such respect and been made to feel so welcome in any other supermarket. It was as if I were coming home, to an old friend or perhaps... lover?I've never wanted to be a slice of beef so much in my life, after watching him slap that M^#(%*#^"*÷r on a bed of mayo, on the expertly sliced bread.When he recommended the jalapeños at the end, let's just say. I'm lucky I wasn't wearing my loose shorts today.Thank you Bobby

Really fun menu. Molcahete, mole, full plates, ECT not every place offers...wish my stomach was bigger. Comfy decor, great service, margarita options that beat Chevy's. Only complaint, front door is unwelcoming, place looks closed when you drive by...would have stopped in sooner now that we know how delicious everything is. Definitely coming back many more times. Felt very comfortable

Well it's the only grocery store in town so literally everyone has to shop there. It was extremely busy on a Tuesday at 11am. I cant even imagine how busy it is at night or on the weekends. Knowing this, you would think they would staff enough checkers to move the lines quickly..., but no. 3 check stands open and 10 people in each line. No self checkout either. Other than that 1 issue, it's a Safeway so of course they have just about everything else you need.

Love the community and neighbors that live there. Staff is generally considerate and helpful. However, they lack in consistency with product labeling and pricing, as well as the computer system not always having items scan with the correct club card pricing. Check out personnel are usually very casual and will fix the issue if you catch it while checking out, or can show them proof. Only negative issue is they are often understaffed at checkouts, and also because store keeps moving inventory so staff are incapable of finding some basic staples in store. Also, due to no competition in the area, being very rural, basic essentials are generally a bit overpriced compared to other Safeways in busier areas.

One of my favorite grocery stores in the entire world because they opened their doors during the 1986 Valentines Day flood, and have both the greatest sale rack and the most soul of any large grocery store I know in the county. Excellent selection of all the groceries you need, including fresh produce & seafood & meat & dairy and aisles & aisles of frozen foods along with an excellent wine selection, really good pharmacy, great deli & bakery, Starbucks mini-cafe, and a bitcoin machine! Thank you frontline essential grocery workers and drivers for all your continued service. I hope you all get bonus pay every hour you work, always. 🏞❤🖤🦁🌈☮

It has all the items and convenience you expect from Safeway. It can be hard to run staff to ground when you need help, but they are friendly and helpful when you find them. They tend to not have enough cashiers between about 5:30 and 7:30.
