A cozy used book shop filled with lovely people. Drove over to check it out during a vacation in Pismo and was able to find quite a few books I had been on the hunt for - at a good price. I told my Dad about it and later had to take him, he left with a huge stack to add to his Tarzan collection. Everyone I encountered there was sweet and friendly, especially the cats.

One of the coolest places I've found since moving to A.G. from Baltimore almost 14 yrs. ago. I get a kick out of driving by to see what new joke is on the sign. Inside, every one who has ever waited on me has been awesome. If I'm not mistaken, they will even give you a call if what you're looking for isn't there. Plus the kitty is cool too.

The best part about this place is easily the friendly cats that roam the place and help you select a book. By help I mean lay down and politely request pets.The book selection isn't the largest, but everything is well organized and sorted. They also have a program in place for store credit if you'd like to drop off any of your own books.They do place a stamp in the first page of a book, which not everyone will be fond of.In any case, ended up buying a handful of books in good quality. Polite staff, clean store, nice selection, and adorable cats.

Great spot to find a book. She was so helpful finding a book for my husband and I. She was able to look up books to see if she had them or not. The books we got were in great shape and about half off original pricing. Hope to come back.

Probably the best bookstore on earth thanks largely in part to the adorable kitties. The ginger cat jumped right on my lap while I was sitting on the floor and stayed while I browsed. So sweet. Got a lovely DK travel guide too.

This is absolutely my most wildly popular used bookstore. What a treasure for bookworms! They have wonderful items —which change all the time—and you can bring your perfectly good used books and they often will buy them from you.However it must be said, I buy many more books from them than I ever bring to sell. And you will too.

This store is a delight to visit. I found two fascinating books on scientific topics. I also found two women running it who were smart, helpful and nice. If that wasn't enough, I was greeted by two big, beautiful fluffy cats, who followed me around and dropped to the floor, begging for a tummy rub! An altogether wonderful place. I will be back anytime I'm in the vicinity.

Love this cute store hidden store it’s very exclusive! They are super helpful when looking for any genre book both Nan and her granddaughter! I love how it’s family owned, (they even have a cute kitty that is the store pet)! 5 out of 5 stars in my book!! :)

This is a gem of a bookstore! The staff are amazing and Kallie is such a sweet cat. I'm from Bakersfield, so Nan's is one of the first places I like to visit whenever I'm at Grover Beach. I highly recommend this bookstore because the prices and selection are also amazing.

Discovered this phenomenal bookstore in 2005& its been a favorite ever since. So sad to hear that Kristi passed away.She was a unique & kind lady. Great storyteller& a world class beauty.

They don't seem to know too much about crystals there but they have thousands of used books. Staff was very nice.
