Nice shopping place to and all things grocery and lifestyle while you’re in Groveland. Won’t expect the urban or a large shopping type market but does the job. We stayed in Groveland for our trip to Yosemite. Fresh fruit was a plus. Had watermelon and some other grocery.

If you're just passing through Yosemite's northern entrance via Hetch Hetchy or going 120 along Tioga pass this place might be of interest. One of the only grocery stores within 50 miles of it's location and great products.

Nice market run in the gateway to Yosemite. They doubled the size of the store about four years ago which really increase their merchandising. The isles are kind of narrow that they are well-stocked inventory. They have smaller shopping carts to accommodate that. The staff is very helpful and friendly they all seem to enjoy your jobs. The store gas getting busy but they will open enough registers to handle the shoppers. May be a little difficult to find it’s tucked down the bottom of a little hill but it’s right behind the Hungry Bear diner.

I arrived early early in the morning to work in Groveland. This was one of the only stores getting ready for their day. I saw one stocker inside working the last hour before they were to open to the public for business. It was good to see movement because the rest of the town was asleep. This store is located conveniently off the main road. Easy off and easy back on. Ample parking and a good vibe. I hope one day to return and maybe go inside and buy something. I didn't get a chance this time. I start work early.

This is literally my favorite store in the west!! They are ALWAYS so helpful, energetic, kind, polite, all those things u just wish u had at Walmart. They're selection is top knotch too and the prices are reasonable, for California anyway. I struggled with all my stuff last time and 3 different people took the time to make sure I was ok and on my way. I walked in frustrated, walked out smiling, like the weight of the world was lifted. Interesting that the beauty aids and the liquor share the same space,lol. We are regulars here and somewhere I have a video of my walk thru the store and I will upload. I may even make another one.And the deli....THE DELI. First time I enjoyed my sandwich in months. She extra smashed and grilled mine for me, just the way I like it! I was annoying and slow, and struggling, cuz I'm old, lol, and they all got me thru it!!

Very well equipped grocery store in Groveland. We stopped here to pickup some grocery and sandwiches from here. They have a deli with many sandwich choices. We picked up few veggies sandwiches. They were really tasty and excellent.

We came in from PA and have done our fair share of traveling so the expectation was small store, limited selection of brands we don’t typically use and high prices….WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE this store is! They proved me wrong at each assumption I had! I could easily do my weekly shopping there no problem and the people were so nice and helpful. Love this gem !

Amazingly well stocked store! Prices are exorbitant but chances are they have what you need. I found my favorite yogurt...30 cents higer a container, but it was available!

Small grocery store, but they pack a lot of food into it. Staff are very nice and helpful. Don't forget to bring reusable bags to load your groceries into. Prices are higher than the big retail grocery stores, but they do have some store brand items which save a little money

Small but mighty market located right near the entrance of Pine Mountain Lake. They have everything you could need for a lake adventure and weekend getaway. The prepared foods area is fairly small but I'd suggest getting your own provisions to make what you want at home instead. Friendly staff!

Small grocery store but perfect pit stop before going to Yosemite! It may be the last grocery before you get to the park so I recommend stopping if you need supplies. The have a little bit of everything!

A solid grocery. Good range of items, from staples to prepared food and more gourmet items. Friendly service. It was a little expensive but reasonable given the location. The deli counter sandwiches were pretty good and surprisingly affordable.

This grocery store is outrageously expensive. I used to think it was because of the mountain location until I shopped at another location they own and it's in a completely different town. The prices are inflated and the quality of the product is standard grocery store quality. There is nothing high end or boutique about this chain of stores. This particular store is not very accommodating as well. Managers are rude and have a chip on their shoulder. A lot but not all of the checkers ringing you up are not happy. Some really even need to retire,. Ask yourself, "when was the last time I bought a cantaloupe for 8 bucks?". I mean that's pushing it for even an organic melon at the fanciest of grocery stores.

Mar-Val’s prices are super high but their standards very low. Tey’re getting away with this because there’s no where else to go for groceries. They don’t have enough employees working, bad customer service. Moldy, rotten and stale food.

Store has a good selection of food and beverages to choose from. The staff is super friendly. The family really liked the custom sandwiches they made for us in the deli 🙂Was a good choice to stop here for supplies to pack our Lunches and snacks for hiking in Yosemite Valley.

This place is absolutely awesome! They have sandwiches for 699 that are amazing also all the staff are extremely nice and helpful! They have great items for souvenirs inside there as well! I got this huge Poncho hat for $13 and everybody loved it! Also there is a diner right across the street that is amazing as well! I highly recommend coming here for all your hiking and camping needs!
