So many people aren't even aware this little slice of heaven is right off the highway to Big Bear... and the residents probably like it that way. Don't miss taking a 30 minute diversion to see this little lake and enjoy the uncrowded surroundings and peaceful little town of Green Valley.

Be sure to take a chair. Cast far enough out to avoid seagrass. Fishing is $25/person and our weekend there weren't many people catching fish during afternoon hours. Enjoy the beautiful view and multitude of birds.

The lake was pretty 'greeny' when we visited on early August, we didn't even dare to plunge into the water lol. Pretty nice lake view though. They divide between swimming, fishing, recreation and even dog swimming areas. Not too many open businesses in the area.

Best lake on our mountain. This town is basically Mayberry. Hidden gem. And by far the cutest and cleanest lake i think on our mountain. Beautiful for pictures, walks, fishing and picnics. I love green valley Lake

Beautiful private lake, open to the public for most of the day. Very quiet neighborhood, great for a peaceful walk around the lake.

The view of the lake is absolutely beautiful but I was really upset that everything that had to do with the lake you had to fork out money for. You couldn't even swim In the water without having to pay for it and it wasn't very big either. It just seem like a bit much with not very many options.

This place is beautiful. Everyone is friendly and inviting. Unfortunately, the lake was closed not only due to COVID but because there was lightning.

Parking: maybe a dozen or more spots in the dirt lot next to the road where the pin shows. If you go farther down the road there many more paved spots.Park here and you can walk around the lake in maybe 30 minutes walking moderately.Sometimes people have picnics here with a view of the Lake. Lots of canoes around the lake.

Great small town. Stayed into the week and it was so quiet we sat by the lake all day. Stock up on beer before you get there only 1 bar in town open on the weekends and the store doesn't sell alcohol

A very nice little lake. It had a little bit of everything. Swimming, boating and even a little dog beach. Very beautiful.

Fishing is really bad on Memorial weekend. Literally no fish stocked. Most anglers got no catch or even a single bite. $25 adult day fee is way expensive for no fishes. Spent a whole day from dawn to dust, hardly see any fish bites for most anglers included myself except for a few, less than a handfull. A few anglers got 1 or 2 fishes at best. Such a boring fishing day for me and most anglers. So sorry to say that i will never come back for fishing again. However, it is great Lake area for family vacation but real bad for fishing.

My husband and I have been fishing here for years, we liked a particular spot on the north side of the lake because we were further away from traffic, but now they've removed the only porta potty they had, therefore we now have to go all around the lake to use the restroom and that's not nice; specially now that they've raised their prices I think we're going to start looking for a better place.

Small Pay to fish lake (9 acres). 25$ or $20 for military. They walk around the lake to collect. They accept cash or card. Excellent for kids. Don't miss the kids Derby in June! Swimming offered during the summer. Boat rentals available. Cell phone service is spotty.

Not all, but too many. Imagine a community of racists, complaining, lead poisoned water, thorn bush infested, thieves. San Bernardino county doesn't protect your property from theft, instead they send warning letters for you to clean the constant infestation of thorn bushes and deny every attempt for you to build in your property. Of which we constantly have to buy cleaning tools because they get stolen by neighbors. The theft is so bad that all our tree tops have been cut off by neighbors (this is a private community street) knowing that they can cut a Christmas tree from the forest if you live here. The complaining is so bad you cannot live in peace. Last year we received a letter to clean the thorn bushes in our property (the town is infested by them and they seed everywhere) I sent my brothers to clean the area only to have thorn bush debri hit one of them in the eye through his protective glasses causing him to almost loose his eye. Almost a year later he has lost much of his eye sight in that eye. I hold the community and the county responsible for that. And I hold the water company responsible for the constant lead poisoned water. Horrible community to live in. Ok town to pass by. Do Not Waste Your Money on Property Here. Food and shops are overly expensive. And you cannot miss the racist flags as you come in to town.

Quaint small place. Got pretty crowded, though, on a Sunday in June. Price to fish is a bit steep, $20. Our group did catch a nice sized trout and a few smaller crappie and trout. The kids had fun . . .guess that's what matters.

Hidden gem. Wife Googled random spots while visiting her dad in running springs. It has a cute town of like 4 business, one restaurant which the young kid can cook and it's owned my Asian man who is bring Asian menu there. He also owns the rental above the restaurant. Can walk lake in 20 min peacefully. NOBODY is there so fishing and relaxing is great. Park right on water. Has a little playground.I loved it. We had a nice relaxing time. Very very quiet.

I'll have to say this place is pretty amazing in alot of different ways. Neat dog friendly store with awesome staff and variety of different food, drinks. They also have duck food so you can feed the ducks across the away in the awesome lake that was frozen in different parts. I would hands down go again but only to explore the other stores and trails that it could possibly have. Simply little town.

Been fishing here with my uncle and grandfather since i was a kid, nice quiet lake usually not to crowded. It is private and there is a fee to fish and you need you licence as well, no bbqs allowed at all. Nice little beach area for the kids to swim and play, play ground, basket ball and skate area as well. Store's and eatery are a nice walk from the lake.

A very nice and relaxing day. Unfortunately, with the bacterial issues in some of the hatcheries they have not been able to stock the lake so the fishing isn't as active as it usually is. A very nice area to spend the day/weekend.

GVL is my happy place-the best part of summer for my kids and I. I can relax on the beach while my kids run back and forth between swimming and the playground. It's so peaceful. The sunsets are amazing, and we see wildlife such a deer and bald eagles.

It's just great, except if you want to do anything besides sit inside your cabin. No motorized toys allowed anymore and all of the stores are closed. We sold both cabins recently. Fun up to the 2000s. Spotty cell service. End of an era for us.

Great rates for canoe, paddle boat and kayak rentals..... around $12/hour for 2-4 people for one hour rentals. No lake body contact when using rentals. There is a separate $4/kids and $7/adults charge to swim in the lake. Generally busy, but not too crowded. Fun day for the family. Located exactly half way between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, roughly 25 minutes from each and 4 miles from the main highway.
