They don't dump the trash fully. The bags are loose and not sticking to the cans. They did the same thing with my recycling last week. The boxes were just lightly in there broken down. Same thing not sticking. Looks like other customers have this experience. Feels very fraud like to me. There solution was to pay for more service per Supervisor Angelica. Employee ID 306668

Incredibly frustrating to deal with this company. Our recycle bins have been left 1/4 to 1/2 full for months! (trash was loose; I checked myself). When you try to reach someone at WM to get this resolved it is IMPOSSIBLE. I was disconnected 6 times on the phone and there is no help online. If our address only gets half emptied, then I would expect to pay half price. There is no recourse or customer service to speak of. I desperately wish they had competitors.Top this off and when we first moved in, their driver refused to pick up our trash because it was so full that the lid was CRACKED open. Not fully open mind you, just a 1.5 inch crack of sunlight. We also had a refusal to pick up because the cans were too close together. Not touching each other, but I guess they couldn't get their lazy bums out of the truck to move the can 3 inches for the truck arms to work properly.Service: Trash removal & disposal

Arranged for a 20 yard dumpster to be delivered on March 1st. They gave me a 12 hour "window" for delivery. We stayed on site, waiting, for the 12 hours. No delivery, no call, no text. Now it's the weekend and they do not deliver on the weekend, they aren't open, and do not answer their phone. This means we have to reschedule the demolition scheduled for the 4th to an unknown date where we can coordinate the contractor with the dumpster delivery, again. I realize we're in the Sierra foothills where everything is on island time, but this is unacceptable. If we had an alternate to WM, we would cancel WM and go with an unknown.

Generally, they do the job but there is lots of room for improvement. Communication is not very good. Customers are always guessing which Holidays will delay pick up. There are no emails nor any notifications on the web page.They also don’t pick up a contained when they knock it down. One time I had to pull a container out of a storm water ditch after WM dropped the container into it. Not easy with a bad back.

WM is excellent at telling us if because of a holiday our service will delayed. Also everything is always neat after the pick up. They come at about the same time every pick up day so that we know when to put trash out.

1-1 1/2 hours to try and set up new service. And still no success!Website would not let me sign up, and told me to call them. Local number is then routed to national call desk.Dropped, transferred, put on hold multiple times , called back and put on hold again.Worst Customer Service Ever! This is an update on the last rating I gave Waste Management. I've improved the score that I gave them, frankly, because I appreciate the drivers and I haven't had to deal with the phone staff since the original rating. I don't know if the offic folks have improved, or not, as I haven't had the pleasure (?) of dealing with them lately. I will say that the drivers are always timely and always professional. The last review was as follows:WM was supposed to return 2 green waste cans to their stock and take them off my monthly bill. They said the cans would be picked up "next week," but they weren't. Generally, my interactions with employees are good but on this occasion, I ran into someone who didn't get their daily ration of caffeine. She insisted that I was wrong and then, without my asking, said "I'll put you on the phone with my supervisor." I was on hold for a long time and then I hung up and called back. This time, I got an employee who was reasonable and admitted they screwed up. I didn't care that they made a mistake: I just wanted the cans picked up and taken off my bill. They are supposed to pick them up tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. The longer they put it off, the more it costs me. (end)They did come and get the cans and fixed my bill. Hey! We all make mistakes and we all have bad days. Shout out to the drivers: Thanks for your service!

Our experience with Waste Management has been nothing but outstanding. I take bags of waste when needed to the transfer station. The team there are so very nice and helping if needed. Home pickup weekly is always satisfying too.

Service out in the sticks is always kind of hit or miss, but WM has been rock solid for us, I was making monthly dump runs before, much easier on our family using WM.

I received a notice to say I was late with my payment, but I had not received a bill in the mail nor an email for my monthly payment. I went to the WM website to set up an automatic payment but after just one entry of my password, the site said I had tried too many times to enter into my account. I immediately paid my bill through my bank bill pay.

Although we experienced some understandable bumps in our scheduled pick ups during the pandemic, Waste Management has really re-established themselves to be very reliable. We are very grateful for the service that WM provides! Thank you

We have no complaints with Waste Management. Severe weather sometimes delays our pick up however it is always eventually picked up. Our drivers are great!

Brought my recycling from a missed pick up to the recycling center @ 13083 Grass Valley Ave, Grass Valley today and was treated quite rudely by the attendant.He seemed suspicious of me from the beginning as he came over to inspect what I was offloading (all mixed recycling approved for that drop site per the website and signage) and stood there watching me unload. It felt a little creepy as a single woman by myself to be honest.He also waited until I was throwing the first bag in to say that it needed to be dumped out of my plastic garbage bags. He also chastised me for not breaking down a few small boxes I had, although there was no signage or instructions anywhere stating these "rules".During the course of this visit I also expressed frustration that their hours of operation on google do not match their real hours of operation and there are also a few comments that say this site has been closed since 2016!?!, furthermore when I called to clarify hours it was going to be over 15 minutes on hold just to speak to an operator. The attendant LAUGHED at me telling him this and gave no indication that he planned to DO anything to clear up the confusion or pass along my feedback.I highly recommend taking a second person with you for safety and as a witness if utilizing this site.P.S. Dear WM, I will not be forwarding this complaint via email as you have instructed others to do...copy and share it via email yourself and stop telling customers to do your job for you.

I needed a different size trash totter and went online to arranged an exchange. Although I hate useing the Chat feature, I could not find a phone number to call customer service. The chat did work but it was frustrating and slow. Why hide customer service phone numbers? My totter was exchanged exactly as promised.

Overall WM is a great company to work with. My biggest issue is their App. It is not that user friendly and difficult to pay my bill with it. The price of service has gone up a lot over the years, but I guess so has everything else. 😂

Our recycling may get picked up if we're lucky once every other month. Both trash and recycling bins are put out the night before every week in hopes that recycling will eventually be taken. Usually, it's not...and, they try to tell me the cans aren't there.

Service is generally good. I have experienced a missed pickup twice in the last 7 months. One of those our entire street was missed. Each time I called, got a real person and made a report. Each time their records indicated a specific time that the pickup was made or that my container was not at the curb and each time I had evidence of the total inaccuracy of those reports. I highly suggested that a supervisor actually observe the route to check on performance and how records were so inaccurate. Our street was finally serviced 2 days late which we appreciated. However no notice was sent to customers which has been done by WM in the past. They do have an effective system for email and text notifications. It needs to be used.Perhaps our issues were results of a new driver or mechanical issue. Mistakes happen, but records of service need to be accurate and notification systems used.Services: Yard debris removal, Trash removal & disposal

We were paying every month, apparently missed a notice lost in mail, don't know when, and they stopped service although they had not picked up our trash because of snow for almost a month. No notification that they were going to be stopping service because of what month or nothing. Very inconvenient and unprofessional. They've had my phone number for 23 years they could've left a message about a discrepancy or even printed it on the invoice Bill. Wont take trash unless lid completely flush closed too. Wish there was a different company we could give our payments to.

usually get good service. .today, the driver left 1/2 of the trash in the bin. .sure he didn.t do it on purpose, but just the same, I'm screwed for the next week. Tried to drive & look for him, no deal..EDIT MY REVIEW PER YOUR REPLY..9-9-23.. got the same recording as all day 9-8-23 & no help.. even called other # you gave, Same recording. Love service but VERY DISAPPOINTED that after calling and informing that a truck has leaked a huge amount of hydronic fluid all over each residents home on Shadow Dr in Auburn, that no clean up effort has taken place.

I am a resident in grass Valley for just over one year. I have not gotten to know my neighbors as of yet. Beginning March Ist became disabled, moving about due to a torn meniscus that lasted for two months. I couldn’t get my trash containers to the curb. I have a long driveway it has a slight slope. I called to see if WM would be able to take my container from outside of my garage door to the curb and I was told no they could not help me because my driveway was longer than 50 feet. I went two months before I was able to get my trash containers to the curb. They could have cared less, they were very cold and calculated and unconcerned when I called.My calls were going to a call center out of state, I asked to speak to a local manager and they said they would have someone call me but they never called.
