Lauren and her staff are wonderful with the dogs, and her staff are very well trained in her principles and methods of how to train & treat dogs. They use positive reinforcement techniques when training the dogs AND their owners. They also encourage the use of Gentle Leaders instead of typical collars or harnesses, as the leader does not allow for pulling. After my dog became used to the leader, she became a delight dog to walk rather than a constant battle to keep her from pulling. I highly recommend Lauren, her staff, and her business.

If I could give 10 stars I would. My fur babies are full time at pawsitive pals, this is their home away from home. They are always excited to pay with friends and I know Lauren and her staff truly love and care for them. They even get groomed weekly! What a truly special heart beat in our community. I adopted a rescue German Shepherd. Lauren and staff has helped him so much in the past six months. He’s a different dog than the one I took home. He loves going to daycare. The facility is fabulous and it’s obvious they love dogs. Best place for training, daycare or boarding. I have used several daycares in the past years with my other dogs and this is by far the best.

Lauren is magic with dogs. We have used PAWS'itive Pals' services for training and boarding.In her training classes, Lauren taught us the skills we needed to handle our dogs at home and in the community. Her guidance was invaluable. We now have two dogs who can be obedient and happy in almost any scenario.For dogs that are boarded, Lauren posts daily pictures and videos to the business's FB page. We adopted a dog in January and we quickly realized we did not have the ability to skills to keep him in control. We began working with Lauren at Pawsitive Pals in March in a beginners class. When COVID hit, the business shut down but Lauren was available via FB and phone for help.With Lauren’s help and patience we are now able to walk our dog through our neighborhood without being drug home. We have been able to take our dog into local stores and downtown Grass Valley. We now have the tools we need to take our dog wherever we go successfully.

I can’t say enough good things about Lauren’s PAWS’itive Pals facility, her training methods, and her staff.I came to her on a recommendation as I wanted to get my dog Greta off the pinch collar (which had previously been recommended to me), and get a better focus on me and learn some manners.Day one of training was amazing as Lauren already had Greta off the pinch collar and into the soft lead. I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me but getting her into the soft lead collar made all the difference in the world as she was now actually walking at my side and not trying to pull.Lauren’s training methods are amazing and so is she. I worked with Greta every day and within a few months she was my superstar!Greta is a very active dog and the weekly training classes and the interacting with other dogs helped tremendously in releasing her energy. She loves her weekly visits to Pal Pack, not only to see her dog buddies but to see Lauren, Sydney, and Brock, as she enjoys shadowing them wherever they go in the yard.My takeaway on this experience is that Lauren is an amazing trainer, understands behavior problems and knows the best course of action to correct it. I learned to be more patient with my dog and to not give up out of frustration, and that the 'darn' pinch collar had been a big hindrance in my earlier efforts to get Greta under control and truly bonding with me.Thank you Lauren, you certainly made a PAWS'itive difference in our lives.

I started with PAWS’itive Pals for puppy/human training.What a great experience I’ve had. The professional, loving, and caring environment is so beneficial! I have been taught how to understand my dog’s breed and individual personality. Having a very high energy, high spirited puppy I know a strong foundation will pay off in the coming years.Training is ongoing with Lauren and her dedicated crew. My now 8 month old puppy goes to the socialization day program and I find the physical outlet in a well monitored and interactive environment to be a great way to continue training for healthy interactions away from school.A great investment, I highly recommend!

Lauren is great with dogs. She's compassionate and kind with them and also knows how to establish and maintain she's the boss of the pack she creates, even with dogs off leash in the play area. The play area is secure, safe, clean, always has plenty of fresh water, and is full of toys. You can be sure your dog is safe, secure, and probably having a really fun time with the other dogs whenever you need doggy daycare

My husband and I have been part of the Paws'itive Pals Dog Training pack for at least five years, and have been so thankful for having Lauren and her team in our lives and the lives of our dogs. She is extremely conscientious, loving, but realistic for her dogs and people, and works harder than almost all people I know. When we got a new Springer Spaniel puppy just over 2 years ago, we arranged for Lauren to take him for his first three weeks for 24 hours per day and pre-train him. It was brilliant, and Henry Higgins, our now rather big Springer was taught commands, potty training and even swimming while she had him , handing the reins over to us with Henry already started in his training. She is reasonable about requests and changes and because of her talent and caring, she has become a cherished friend. Paws'itive Pals is a wonderful addition to our community and a godsend for the responsible and loving dog parents in our community.

How Lauren is able to handle a very large yard full of dogs is nothing short of amazing. She is the pack leader at Pawsitive Pals. And while dogs of all sizes and breeds come to spend the day playing together, Lauren makes sure they are learning their socializing manners. I have also boarded my dog at Pawsitive Pals and it is the only place where I would leave her - where can you board your dog and they come home better??? Feeling very fortunate.

We adopted Jack about a year ago and he was A LOT more than we anticipated. Severe separation anxiety. It was awful/heartbreaking having a dog that was terrified and fearful of being abandoned all the time. That’s when we started taking Jack to DSC. Then we attended basic obedience class. Wow! What a difference- Lauren truly understands dogs and teaches you to be a better owner. We now have a well behaved, socialized, well-mannered dog that we can confidently take anywhere. It dawned on me how far Jack had progressed after a road trip when Lauren asked how he did and I was able to report that we took him on a tour down into caverns, to a restaurant with goats and small children petting him with one hand and chicken nuggets in the other hand, we rode elevators, and had giant open spaces which Jack could have taken off but instead came when he was called. This is definitely not the same dog we had a year ago who wouldn’t let anyone pet him. Pawsitive Pals I would recommend to anyone! They saved my sanity.

My dog absolutely loves going to ' socialization school'. I feel 100% confident in Lauren and staff with the best care of our guy! I know he's safe and loving his time there. My wife and I couldn't recommend PAWS'itive Pals any higher. Lauren and her crew have helped train and raise our dog since he was old enough to be socialized.He is two years old now and is a certified service dog and is able to help with my wife's needs. After his training and socialization, he is extremely well behaved in public (and at home) and many of the fears and concerns we had about raising a puppy are now replaced with a great understanding of how to train a dog to be the best companion possible. My dogs LOVE this place!We have been taking our dogs to Pawsitive Pals for 5 years and my dogs BEG to go! I'm not kidding, my hound, Ricky, BEGS to go to " school" at Pawsitive Pals. Lauren and Adam have created an environment that dogs thrive in and want to be in.I have 8 dogs between 4 breeds and Paws'itive Pals has accommodated them all! From 10lbs to 203 lbs! We first started taking our Treeing Walker Coonhound, Ricky Bobby, to Pawsitive Pals to help keep him stimulated and active. This breed is Notoriously hard to train and keep stimulated and keep within a gate- and let me tell you- Lauren trained this dog! And she has kept him secure in her fencing and keeps him busy! He BAYS like a maniac when he wants to go see her! I have no choice but to take himAll my dogs LOVE to go here- it's right near my kid's school so some days, I load up the car and drop the entire pack. Each and every one of my dogs has been socialized, trained , boarded attended programs they offer like " Get Rattled" at Pawsitive Pals. Pawsitive Pals offers Misters to keep them cool, sand yards, grass yards and sections for small dogs- which are perfect for my löwchen.I have breeds that require special attention, like Neapolitan Mastiff and I can trust Pawsitive Pals to take care of him to the highest capacity when I'm out town. Her boarding stalls are as dreamy as they come! Most facilities offer concrete yards and a cot- but not Laurens- they are like little mini condos with sliding barn doors.and elevated dog bowls and indoor/outdoor access.I have started off my Cane Corso Gogo in her socialization Program which has helped tremendously in her show dog career. Even my shy girl, Evie, (Cane corso) who is very sensitive has gone to day care and get rattled and was nurtured carefully into socialization and training.I have had an amazing experience with Pawsitive Pals and because of it- I highly recommend you take your dogs !!!!

I wish I could give more stars! This is the only place I will trust with my dogs. Lauren and her team have created a safe and happy place for my dogs to play when I am at work and to board when I am out of town. My girls cannot wait to get out of the car and are exhausted at the end of the day. The facility is very clean and well maintained and all dogs are under good control when on the yards. Lauren knows so much about dogs and has taught me so much about caring for and training my girls. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for an awesome place to board and trains their furry pals.

We recently adopted a rescue dog. He was having difficulty socializing with other dogs, and we started bringing him to PAWS'itive Pals. After just a few short visits, he is already playing with the pack. We are so happy with the services provided, and have even tried the board and train services for a recent short trip. I would like to share my experience with Lauren and her team. They are absolutely AMAZING!! Not only did she train my 2 year old German Shepard . I took him to 2 other trainers and a board/train here in Penn Valley and absolutely no change in his problem behavior. He actually came back worse and the trainer referred me to a trainer in Yuba City. He came back aggressive towards other dogs and I could no longer walk him. Within 2 days of the socializing class my pup was no longer wearing a muzzle, so laying very well with all the other dogs. I then put him though her obedience class. He graduated and off lead test down town!! My pup is absolutely a joy and I able to take him with me everywhere!I ended up going on a vacation so I had to leave our old dog with her. She is set in her ways, hated all other dogs, barked fir no reason! The most annoying dog…but she’s my special needs daughters dog. I’ve tried everything for 10 years to change her behavior. I picked her up my amazement she no longer barks all day long for no reason! The first day she was off her muzzle and started interacting with other dogs. By the time I picked them up she was playing with the pack! I strongly recommend Lauren and her team! Lauren has a gift she has shared with her team! I can’t tell you how pleasant my house is!!

I took my dog to Lauren for obedience training. After 5 weeks my young shepherd learned to walk well on a leash and not to react to dogs or people. I was doubtful at first that there was anybody who could help me get my newly adopted pup to behave and act like a dog instead of being terrified of everything and barking relentlessly whenever he saw another person or dog but thanks to Lauren and her crew my dog is slowly coming around. I see a difference every day. The half day socialization option is amazing and a good way to get my dog some exercise and training while I’m at work. I’m also doing the basic obedience class and so far it’s easy to take what is taught there and apply it at home. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My husband and I adopted a dog who definitely needed training. He was horrible walking on a leash and needed general obedience training. Lauren taught us so many valuable things that have changed not just our dog but also us. He now walks at out sides while wearing his gentle leader, knows basic commands, doesn’t jump on people and so much more. We had a wonderful experience and are truly thankful to have had an opportunity to attend the Basic Obedience classes.

We took our 1.5 year old GSD Zeke to Lauren’s group and she really educated us on how to be more positive and efficient with our dog. Zeke was hurt badly and abandoned for most his life before we got him and he needed a lot of assistance to get through his fear, anxiety and aggression. He still has a long ways to go, but we atleast feel like we have a direction with Lauren’s help! They also took him in for board and training for a few days and really dedicated time to help him over the course of 3 days! Day one he did not socialize at all and was growling at staff. By day 3, he was playing with other dogs and humans. He looked happy!!! We are so thankful for these miracle workers and we will continue to use their service!
