I’ve been shopping at this store for years. I shop there quite frequently, once a week. I do like the merchandise, and the great sales and coupons. There are some professional, helpful, and friendly staff at this store with an inviting, warm demeanor, which I am always glad to see when I go in, more like a sigh of relief actually, to know that the nice people are working that day. Because there are also staff at this store that are unprofessional, uninviting, cold, intimidating, rude, bullying, and aggressive, it’s as if they are on a power trip. I know it’s hard to find any help these days at all, and they are short staffed quite a bit, but that’s not a reason to be aggressively rude to a customer. It’s similar to a mean girls club, with some of the women that work there.

Went in earlier today to find some gifts, perfume, makeup, some clothes, nothing too crazy. It started off kinda rough though, Macayla seemed grumpy and rather short with me. Wasn’t the ideal employee service I was hoping to get walking in and asking questions. Luckily, I started to talk with Sophie and she helped me out great! Take notes everyone, that’s the customer service I like to see. Definitely will be back!!

I thought I purchased gold earrings but they are white hold because they were covered in a rhodium substance for the appearance so I took them back, make sure they say mined or you will pay full price for fake diamonds that were grown in a lab!!

Ordered online and picked up. I tried the "curbside" service, but no one was coming out and it kept saying they were "delayed". So I walked in to pick my items up instead. It was dead quiet. I'm assuming they not only didn't have any customers but not enough staff. The good news is, I was helped immediately in-store with fast and friendly service.

Went in for some semi formal attire as we had a celebration of life to attend. Was pleased to find the items I liked on sale. Shirt was 50% off! All in got a nice outfit for under $100. The store was clean, displays attractive, and prices reasonable. Store clerk ignored me standing there waiting to be checked out although she did make eye contact with me. I had to ask her if we can start the checkout process; I'm not happy about that.

Update... Sad at their lack of selection, I think they cater to an unusual group. Sephora never seems to have helpful people or they're not open everytime i try to go. I must have bad timing. They need more clerks available!I love their sales. Currently they have a darling cashier that makes it all worth my time. This is a smaller store compared to ones in malls or big city, but you can always order online and have them deliver to store.

Went in to buy a new, high quality mattress pad, huh, I found one. Looked for some stretch denim jeans, found some. Thought, maybe they'll have some soft t- shirts, and lucked out again. So, all in all, pretty happy that I stopped there. They have quite a selection of things you may need, and a few you may not. Much nicer than Kame-apart.

Can never find anything worth buying at this location. I don't know who orders the clothes for this store but they need to rethink what's in style.The best one is in Roseville at the galleria.

I visited the Sephora in the women's department and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The girl that helped me out was very knowledgeable, I walked in looking for concealer and walked out with a new makeup routine. She didn't push any sales on me, but definitely helped me figure out ways I could improve my routine fast and simple.

I hate Penny's idea of 50% OFF.You have to buy one at FULL price, and only then is the second purchase 50% off. With that required, my discount is only 25%, plus I have TWO of the something that I only wanted one of.Come on....get your merchandising honest! At the very least, put your deceiving requirement to "buy two" in a size that doesn't require a magnifying glass.You could take a lesson from Kohl's...when I leave their store I feel like I am the winner.

Sephora was terrible. Went in, liked a eyebrow pencil. Didn't have, told me the were changing names, offered no help in finding something else. If they are changing names, why do they have the samples. Have had similar experience there several times.

A little diamond in the hills.. We were there for a funeral and my luggage had not arrived so I needed an outfit..It was 15 minutes from closing..The staff, the sweetest ladies you could ever find !! Helped my find an outfit and settle my nerves a bit..They were very kind and understanding about my problem..and even insisted I take a deep breath and just relax..I went back they next day to thank them..and they were so sweet..they had been keeping us in their prayers..Thank you!! You really made a very hard time much easier..

I have shopped at JC Penny for 45 years, but I think I am done here and I understand why they are so few now days. Purchased a wedding ring in the "fine jewelry" section, 12 days later, no sign of my purchase, no one there knows where it is, and the lazy associates don't seem to be concerned except passing me along to the next. I will NEVER step foot in JCP again!!!
