Love the AAA at Grass Valley. They really know there business for DMV transactions for transferring ownership/paying renewal fees. I always go there first before I head to DMV. Well worth the Membership fee.

The staff here are great but AAA has very few maps these days and the tow service has been almost useless, as they try to find reasons not to cover towing and have long waits. After 45 years as a member, I’m about to throw in the towel.

The staff at AAA is wonderful, and in my experience the wait time is usually minimal. If you're a AAA member you can do almost everything you can do at the DMV except for renewing a driver's license.

Have been members for many years.Brought young family member hoping for polite understanding help with first DMV transfer, Registration and Insurance transaction for his new vehicle.Instead of a positive learning experience, we were subjected to disingenuous female staff at the window. Staff were rude and short with us, and would not simply walk him through it and allow questions. No line behind us, so we were not holding anyone up.No one available to help with Insurance policy transfer.This was our second time in a week trying to get help.Both times we had to walk away and go to DMV.Instead of being able to sit with or even talk to an agent to increase policy benefits, we had to sit outside in our vehicle and call the number they gave us on a business card to obtain an updated policy.DMV was very helpful and honored our request.We won't be back again to this AAA office.Ladies behind the counter are unhappy, unprofessional, impatient and rude.No help at all, and ruined a young man's first experiences with handling his transfer.

Today for our DMV needs Mary was super helpful and got our vehicle transfer handled in a few minutes. She was really pleasant the whole time, made some funny comments and was a real joy to work with. She even got the seler new cards issued free of charge. Thanks Mary!!

So much faster and more efficient than going to the D M V. Their kind smiling and try to actually help with a problem when they can. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they usually only put two people behind the window to help when they actually need three. If they had three people behind the window to help when the line is long they would have definitely gotten five stars.

I recently went in to pay the registration fees for my car. I was really happy to see that they were social distancing and that everyone was wearing a mask. The line moved fairly quickly because, after there were four of us in line, they added another customer service person. She was very friendly and we completed the task quickly.

I drive by dmv and there was a line around the building. Then I remembered AAA does dmv business. Headed over and there were 6 people in line. They were screening people prior to inviting us in. The wait time was short. The staff were very nice and knew exactly what they were doing. Super fast, super convenient. It pays to be a member of AAA .That's for sure.

Went into here for passport photos thinking this was going to take all day, like the DMV, without an appointment. The difference between gov workers and private sector workers proved itself again. Kim had us in and out in a flash. Fast and friendly service is amazing.

I am extremely unhappy with AAA at this point. I received my auto renewal and they raised the premium 12% and I have never had an accident or a ticket since I was 23 and I'm 77 now. Will be searching other companies whose rates reflect my driving record. Doesn't sound like AAA is non profit any longer and I have been with them for over 50 years.

September 2021 updateThis office is a sad shadow of what AAA membership used to provide.Yesterday there was a single person at the membership/dmv window and the line was long, including frail, elderly and disabled folk.One employee engaged at length with a customer that she knew, 10 minutes in fact, while the line grew. She may have been dealing with his issues all that time, but it certainly didnt feel that way for those of us standing in line. They complained about masks and vaccines ..... again, it was impossible to tell who was actually saying what, but please .... please try to look as though you care about your paying members standing in line!I'm a AAA member for decades, but this kind of thing sours my loyalty.

Worst experience at a AAA office on 6/2/21 on Dorsey lane. Went for DMV service to renew registration. Purposely went after lunchtime hoping for more expedient service. DMV window is also where people conduct signing up for AAA services. One employee at window having extensive conversation with an obnoxious man who wanted to tell her and anyone around about his life story. When I entered office there was no one else in line, but 30 minutes later I was still in line behind this man. An employee who had been there for 3 weeks per his conversation with the man in line came past me. I am 72 years old and the office was stifling hot. No air conditioning blowing. I have a mask on and all the employee could say to me when I complained about heat was that he had to be there all day with a mask on! Finally another employee I assume just came back from lunch break in late afternoon opened other window. I was done in 5 minutes and rude man was still at window spewing his story. Will go down to Auburn AAA next time and hope for better service. Have been a AAA member since 1969.

The first time I ever walked into this building, I noticed at first that the line was to the door, longer wait time then the local DMV office. The sad part of it was that I was there to take care of car insurance needs and had to wait behind people there for "State Services", I.E: DMV. I also noticed how hot they keep their lobby/Line area. The closer that I got to the employees counter, the cooler it was becoming. Made it even more of a blessing to finally make it to the employees counter.
