Okay so I'm not really sure about the overall experience of this place as a customer but it seems to be popular and people seem to be reluctantly happy with this business. However for me, I went in there hoping to get a job being that they had a posting on craigslist looking for friendly, happy workers.Whoever wrote it, made it seemed like it was a great place to work at with a super friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately when I went there a couple times to speak with the hiring manager, the employees didn't seem happy at all or very friendly. Instead the manager in charge of hiring seems mean in her demeanor or perhaps overly strict. I could be wrong but that's how she came off. I felt extremely uncomfortable talking to her for the short time I did. She kind of closed me off in what felt like in a rude way. The next day when I tried to call her in hopes of seeing if she overlooked my application, she told me she already found someone else instead. Even though the ads seemed like they were looking for multiple people.The one thing that does kind of come off a little odd is that they don't seem to have any diversity there. I'm a Middle Eastern man and I didn't see a single ethnic person there. I mean everyone was white, not that that's a problem but still it would be nice to have some diversity. Not to mention the staff didn't seem friendly at all except for the owner who I met briefly who had a very friendly demeanor and good rapport. I feel like I was pushed aside because of my ethnicity and for that I give it three stars.Plus, whoever wrote that Craigslist ad, Shouldn't have made it seem so friendly and nice place to work. They made comments about free ice cream for employees and other things that made it seem like a fun place to work but it just didn't feel that way when I walked in there. I could be wrong but that's just my opinion.

Two stores on same lot. Super nice equine store with clothes, supplies and feed. Dog side is great and has self wash. The emoloyees are very friendly.

I've been going to Douglas Feed & Pet Supply ( formerly Douglas Ranch Supply, still is DRS to me) for at least 27 years. The new owner ( not that new) is great, in the past when a small item was left out of a delivery he personally made sure a special trip was made to bring it to me quickly.The whole staff there are friendly and knowledgeable. Although they have added a great dog, cat & ? store, I mainly deal with the original store for my horse, goats & chicks. The staff there are great, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The guys in the loading area are great also and when I get my alfalfa & feed delivered, the guys who come put everything where I want it, and are willing to move my old hay, etc., to put the new stuff where I need it, since as I get older I'm less able to do it all myself. I really appreciate how helpful they are.I highly recommend Douglas Ranch Supply.

Extremely disappointed in their "timothy" hay. I saw no timothy in it and it was ridiculously expensive at 35$ a bale. I won't be buying hay from them anymore. The feed and tack store and pet store are still great though.

My mom has been shopping for her horse here for years. She always gets good service and has gotten PLENTY of hay and shavings here.Our visit this trip was for a small bit of help from customer service and they were on it! They immediately rectified a tiny little problem we had.There are plenty of free stores around but this one has great selection, great prices, great quality of items and super helpful staff.

Sierra Pacific Great Pyrenees Rescue and the Tobin's have shopped here from day one! We buy all of our dog needs, services and food for all of the rescue dogs and our personal dogs. We also have mini-horses and this store and the owners and staff bend over backwards to help you. Craig and Dee Dee Lyman are special people and share those qualities in the treatment and service to their customers. I don't shop anywhere else and I am grateful that they are here in Granite Bay.

I love this place. I pass three other feed stores just to come here. We've adopted so many chickens from here. The employees are always amazing! And super helpful. My kids and I love coming here! Baby chick, baby girl on the way!!!

I went there for an event and didn't know that this place existed in the first place. I like that they carry lots of chicken supplies but it's a bit pricey compared to other local feed stores.But I love that they have chickens to buy most of the year..

I've visited this place a few times and they turned me into a lifetime customer. Exceptional customer service, knowledge, willing to go the extra mile to help a newbie and not to mention the large selection of feed and supply.I didn't even bother to check prices elsewhere. I had a question about inventory on special fun breed of chicks, they didn't normally carry it however was more then happy to help & place a special order if requested. Minimum order is 5 chicks, you can pre-pay over the phone or visit in-store to process payment. They get weekly deliveries on Fridays.
