Best local pet store in town. My go too for live food for my leopard gecko(Gucci) and my bearded dragon(Mushu) and fuzzies for my sand boa(Patches). Best customer service. Also I purchased Mushu from here also. First picture is when I first got him. Second picture was taken 3 months later. I would definitely come back again if need another pet reptile.

I love buying my dogs treats here! The staff is always friendly. Sometimes they run out of my dog's favorite treats (he's picky lol) and the staff is always open to giving me a call when they receive more. It makes it easier and I don't have to order online!

As a new local to SB, and newly obsessed with the fish hobby, I was keen to check-out literally every fish shop to see where I would call my home spot - Pet House won!Not only do they have a great selection of rotating stock, they were able to special order me more exotic items which I really appreciated.Prices on fish are decent but you get the best customer service over any of their competitors.

I really like this place and always have come here for all my pet needs. They have been really helpful in helping me start my first tank and giving me information. I actually bought the tank setup here too. The customer service here is really great here also.There are also some cute rodents and birds that are fun to look at. If you are looking for a place that has a really wide variety of fish and people who know what they are doing, then you should definitely come to this pet store.

Very good local pet shop with lots of variety. They have the best selection of fish than any other place in town that I have found. They sell a select number of reptiles as well. Prices are reasonable compared to other pet stores in town. The staff I encountered were friendly and very knowledgeable which was a nice change.

A 5-years later update:Pet House is STILL our favorite pet store! Today (02/21)22) just 20 min before they closed, I realized we were OUT of dog food for the morning meal (x2), I immediately called, they had what we needed, and even graciously offered to stick around in case I couldn't make it by closing time!!! Thankfully, we're only 2 miles away, miraculously made all green lights and arrived with 6 min to spare! THANK YOU AGAIN! Pet House for the Breakfast Save of the Day!- - -Pet House has been our "go to" pet store for years, with their friendly, knowledgeable staff to help with any question about nearly anything pet related! Love the new remodel too, great to see our local business owners being supported and thriving in our community!

Fantastic pet store! I have been buying crickets for my tarantula for over six years at this store and I have been met with nothing but courtesy and care every time. Gave me excellent advice for raising my ling and high quality feeder items (crickets haven't gotten my ling sick).

Everyone very attentive to your needs. They answered any questions I had. A lot of variety. I have Iguanas. and some of they're products I haven't even seen in the pet store that's know for selling and catering to reptiles. They do favor Dogs here. There's nothing wrong with that

The Pet House has a nice variety of fish and are reasonable priced. The people that have been working there for a while have good knowledge of the fish and which ones to pair in a tank. The staff has been extremely nice and helpful every time I go in there, which is actually quit often. Erin, the tall girl, definitely knows her fish and goes the extra mile for customer satisfaction. Thank you all for you continued help.

Best place around for pet rats!! They get them from breeder's and the friendly staff continue to assist in their socialization. I've owned rats off and on throughout my life and used to get them from Petco and ended up with some unsocialized rats I couldn't deal with...they bit me. So I had read the reviews on pet house and decided to take a gamble and boy did I end up with a cutie!!! He totally loves everyone on introduction and starts grooming them. Even people who are freaked out about rats love him. So I'm just a rat person but I can imagine if the store treats treats their rats so well I would recommend patronizing this store. Thank you pet house employees. Just wanted to add thanks to David for all his help . Very caring and knowledgeable about rats. I couldn't get to a vet during the pandemic and he really helped with my questions. Again..if you want a socialized rat from a breeder, then the staff takes care of them in the store. . this is the place to go! Thank you David!

A great place for pet needs. I always get my feeder mice here, and they have a little bit for everyone. The staff are always friendly and don't hesitate to share their knowledge with customers either, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

Great local pet shop!Just a bit overpriced. I fully understand and expect to pay slightly more than buying the same items from a big box store of some sort when I am at a small, local shop - but most prices go slightly outside that range.Like most pet shops, paying a bit more will be well worth it if you are new to a particular pet and need some assistance/information.

The Pet House is a fairly small pet store with a friendly staff which carries a decent selection of products for a variety of pets, and they have a pretty decent selection of freshwater fish. (They may have saltwater also, but I did not observe it)I haven't noticed any pets for sale other than fish in this store, but they have a decent selection of dog and cat food, toys, treats, and accessories (medical cones, toothbrushes and the like) They also have a rodents and birds section where they carry the basic supplies keepers of those pets would also be looking for.

The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable when it came to me asking them about Aquariums. They have a great selection of fish and a variety of plants. Definitely a go to for any aquarium needs of mine.

Staff was super nice. However, I didn't like what's over how they have bright lights right above the bird cages, I get that is a store but come on, I can only imagine how hot it must be for the poor birds. Also it was freaking hot in there! I will not come here again!

I was so happy to find the cat box I was looking for here. I had ordered one from Amazon that got lost in the mail and never showed. When I went to buy another they were out of stock and sellers jacked up the prices. Petco did not have it either. I decided to try The Pet House, and there it was, waiting for me!

I highly recommend Goleta Pet House. They are very knowledgeable. I love talking to Erin for all my fish needs. She's helped me out with all of our aquarium problems (from starting a tank to dealing with pesky pond snails). She even helped me figure out why my male guppies were acting differently (turns out they were female bettas that Petco sold me mislabled). I can always rely on the pet house for advice. From dogs to fish to hamsters. I also love being able to support a local, small business. Goleta Pet House is better than any other chain pet store. Shop here first!

A local shop. The prices are higher and the staff couldn't care less.... I went in to buy a cheap plastic litter box and got charged $50 for one litter box TWICE! When I returned to try to return the "second" litter box I purchased, they acted like I tried to steal from them... I used to respect this store... just shop at petco...

Classic Fairview pet shop with a zoo amount of fishes to buy with all the accessories even for turtles one could need and buy. Cute little tortoises are sold with all the bird and puppy equipment and snacks a pet owner could possibly need.
