I love bringing my dog, Apollo, to Dioji Goleta! He’s a rambunctious 2-year-old Golden Retriever pup who loves to run around with all his friends and swim in the pool! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They always make him feel at home.

I love Diogi Goleta. The staff are the BEST and treat my dog with love. She pulls on the leash to run in and gets so excited when she sees the team (shout out to Brittney, Jared, Eleanor). I take her for daycare and boarding and I know she’s in good hands (I regularly get photo updates). Highly recommend!!!

Our dog loves the Goleta Dioji community and team members, and so do we. Here are a few features we love:- The staff treats our dog as theirs and are thoughtful and attentive. They have multiple staff members present to supervise their playing and take action if a dog is misbehaving or not feeling well. When our dog threw up during daycare (from gluttony at home 😂), they immediately called us to let us know and to see how to proceed, keeping a careful eye on her for the rest of the day. Our dog loves other canines but is shy around humans, and the staff gives her cuddles but also recognize how to move and interact with her in a way that respects her boundaries. The staff members are always ready to answer our questions and are a joy to talk to.- Boarding is super convenient when you really need it and also need a peace of mind. Dioji does this really nice thing where they send regular updates about how your dog is sleeping and eating, or if they've made new friends. The best are the photos of your dog playing or snoozing with pals. I didn't realize this until recently, but there is also a staff member who stays overnight with the boarding dogs and watches them. The dogs also are not crated (unless misbehaving/aggressive). What we usually do is reserve our boarding in advance, and then drop off our dog with meals and instructions around portions.- Fun for dogs! There are so many dogs to play with and platforms and hammocks. Dogs are separated by characteristics such as size and/or age to ensure harmony (as far as I can tell). And there's even a pool for dogs who enjoy swimming. We think this is where our dog dipped her "toe into the water" for first swimming lessons. If your dog enjoys other dogs' company, this facility is a great place.Goleta Dioji provides a wonderful community resource for dog owners in the area. Thank you!

Our 10 mo. Bernese Mountain Dog stayed at Dioji 12/27-12/30. She is a super sweet girl, however a bit timid with other dogs until she gets comfortable. She is eager to play with her neighbor who's a 25lb golden doodle. Knowing this, we asked Dioji to keep an eye on how the other dogs treat her, and give her rest breaks as needed. When she was there for her initial evaluation, she was bullied and stalked by another dog, and Dioji did a good job identifying and separating that dog from ours. The evaluation went well, according to Dioji’s report. Unfortunately - fast forward to her actual stay at Dioji - upon picking her up after 3 nights at Dioji, we saw that she had a puncture wound in her upper left thigh.I called Dioji to let them know. They said they would talk to their staff to get more info about her stay, but in general, “She was not involved in any altercations. She was mellow. Not very interested in interacting with other dogs.” They said they would call back within a couple days after they "talk with their staff" and only upon my reaching out again three days later, did they respond that they think she was likely bitten when she was being taken from the play yard to her bath. They said "there was a lot of commotion at the gate." When I asked how they did not notice the wound when they were bathing her, they claimed "she didn't warm up to us." Well, maybe that is because she was injured and hurt and scared, because she wants everyone and anyone to pet her on the street - she is not timid around people in the slightest. Her behavior should've elicited further inquiry and a physical checking over of her by the staff. Additionally, when I said, "on the report card you sent for her, one of the things listed was that she enjoyed belly rubs from the staff, how was her injury missed when it is fully visible when she is on her back?" They said, "oh, what's written on the report card doesn't mean she actually got belly rubs, it just means she interacted with the staff." I provided feedback that they should (1) change their process of getting dogs from the play yard, so that future dogs that are simply bystanders like my dog don't get bit from behind. (2) change their report card process, and only write what actually occurred, because currently it is misleading and provides false comfort. We are incredibly disappointed that Dioji did not fulfill their sole responsibility - to keep our dog safe. She is the sweetest girl, and it broke my heart to have been a thousand miles away when she was injured and suffering. She was limping at home for 24hrs, and the gaping puncture wound is shocking. I grew up with 5 dogs - 3 labradors, 1 golden, and 1 dachshund, and while of course dogs can play roughly and get into scuffles, a puncture wound is not a result of normal play, and it is definitely not something to be overlooked. I would think with the level of professionalism Dioji claims, that they would notice when a dog is bitten, and alert the owner. They refunded the bath and 50% of the cost of our dog's stay, which is a nice gesture, but I genuinely hope this experience results in changes to Dioji's process and improvements that can help prevent this for future dogs. Currently, it is not safe.

I have reviewed Dioji before and I still feel the same. It's an amazing place with amazing people who truly care about your dog and you. I often take fruit, avocados, and have had pizza's delivered to show my gratitude. They go above and beyond and unlike most places in town they don't have a tip jar. I believe it's important to show people what they do matters. And it does. I would do anything for my pets who are my kids, just like others do for they're human kids. Captain will always be a Dioji Dog. Always

Took the dog here two times. Originally staff seemed pleasant and friendly. After our dog's second stay, we noticed a pretty significant bite mark on her side. This was not reported to us by the staff when we took her home.Called to see if we could get more information. Not much info was provided, and staff said they would call back. No return call was made. Also discovered in their agreement they're not liable for any resulting issues from this bite. Will not be returning.

I have taken my dog here about once per week since she was a puppy. She loves it! I have also boarded her here a few times. Cage-free boarding is such a rare find. Everyone who works here is awesome, professional, and really cares about your dog. They are very strict on vaccines, spay and neuter, and signs of illness, but that's a good thing!

They expelled my dog because "this place is over simulating for him"...Also heard staff yelling at dogs often. I would feel over simulated if I was being yelled at by a bunch of kids that think they have a PhD in Dog Phycology. I'm pretty sure my dog got Giardia from here. We saw a dog pee in the drinking water bucket. (Goleta location)

We have been taking our two dogs here for years and we absolutely love it. The dogs love the pool and come home exhausted from all the fun they had. The staff is so respectful and great with the dogs, especially Kelly. I always know I can trust them to take care of our fur babies.

This place is amazing, my dogs are always so happy to be there and use the pool. The staff is great and Kelly has always been the best staff member there. She clearly loves and cares for all of the dogs, I am always happy when I see she is working. I can't recommend this place enough, your dogs will love it.

I travel for work sometimes on short notice, and a friend suggested this establishment to me. I can say it was an excellent experience. My dog Donnie really enjoyed his time here for day care, the staff here is great and highly professional. They provided me with updates upon request. I will be returning here in the future. Highly recommend.

Good place and our dog seems to like it. It is very $$ and so we only use it a few times a year if we cannot get a dog sitter. It has been typically good for us and last minute arrangements. Staff is friendly and I like that they are not caged for boarding.

Dioji Goleta is our goto boarding for vacations where we can bring the dog. Our last experience wasn't good, as the dog was ready to get out of there. Too many large and aggressive dogs with the small dogs. Employees didn't seem as friendly or as engaged as normal. Staff called us telling us that our food went bad, still struggling with this. Food seemed fine. Dog vomiting after the visit. Not a good experience. Prices are higher than ever @ $80+ per night. We will look elsewhere, and be calling the owner. Hoping Dioji Goleta will do better. One good thing was the bath, for $40. Thank you.

I haven't had a lot of experience with doggy day care but I have heard a lot of horror stories about them but never about this place. This place is great and the prices seem very resonable considering the quality of care your loved one will receive. they are always happy to see my little boy show up and they even chant his name as we walk in. He loves going to this place and weather he is put with the medium dogs or the bigger dogs, he always has a great time. the best thing about this place is they don't put all the dogs in a crate mid day and force they to take a nap like I've heard other places do. My boy doesn't need to be told or forced to take a nap. I love that my 7 month old get tons of socialization with all kinds of different dogs. The best part is how tired he is when I pick him up. its the only time he's not crazy excited to see me. well he is excited its just that he's so tired from all the fun he had. I will definitely continue to recommend the place to everyone I meet that has a dog and would like a place they can trust to take great care of their loved one.

We love Dioji! Our dog has really bad separation anxiety and needs a human companion at all times. She loves Dioji and the staff!! If we drive by and don’t take her there she looks at us like she is being punished. She could not be happier when we drop her off. The staff is so friendly and helpful. It’s clear they love our fur-kid and she definitely loves them. We use the daycare and the overnight care and our dog loves it all! We appreciate the convenient hours and the flexibility in drop off and pick up times that allow for half days or full days depending on our needs. We always have one happy and tired pup when we come to pick her up. We have been going to Dioji for 7 years now (have used every location) and think it’s the best. Dioji we are so thankful for you and the amazing service you provide!

My roommate boards his dog here once in a while, and is very happy with the service provided. I have found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful and the place clean and tidy.I have delivered and collected Yucka from the club, watched her through the window and the fence (trying to remain hidden as best I could) and observed that she, and most, if not all, the other dogs seem to be enjoying themselves in there inimitable doggie way.I was little disappointed in the 1 and 2 star reviews, I saw no merit in their complaints, and was impressed that someone had responded to the complaints in a friendly and professional manner.

My dog Sarge has been coming to this location for almost 3 years now. He absolutely LOVES being here and also has 2 favorite staff members. He likes to check himself in each time I drop him off. At Dioji I never have to worry about him as I know he's having tons of funny in the pool or playing with other dogs.

Our dog Duffy has stayed at Dioji since she was a puppy. She loves this place and the staff are so wonderful! A perfect spot to leave your special pup while you are out of town. They can offer a bath and they will be nice and clean when you pick up!

Dioji is a well run K9 Resort. They are a completely a cage free environment for well adjusted, nice dogs that play well with other dogs. Their staff is friendly and know about all the products they sell. The products they sell such as dog food people probably think is too expensive but in the long run it's not. When you feed your dog, dog food that's made with a high percentage of fillers you feed more volume so your dog gets the nutritional benefits your dog needs. The food Dioji sells has literally no fillers so you feed less and you clean up less poop. Dioji staff can recommend products that will work well for you dog. If you live in Santa Barbara Dioji is the place you can trust for your fur babies. House dog sitters, walkers and other type of people trying to get in this industry is not where you should go. These places do not have insurance and who knows what type of services your dog really gets? Because these places are not regulated like Dioji is. I know this first hand because I own a cage free facility myself. Take your fur babies to professionals where they can have fun, there treated well. Then you can enjoy your day or vacation without worry.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! My dog got kennel cough at the Goleta location about a month ago. When I spoke with the manager (Cheyenne) to inform her about the situation she told me that they have been "lenient" with enforcing the Bordetella vaccine because of the circumstances surrounding Covid (another fancy way of saying that they needed the business and did not care about the dogs well being at the time). Just recently I decided to give them another shot and tried to drop off my dog and the manager (Kelly) at the register told me that she needed a booster shot for her Vaccines. It hasn't even been a full month since the expiration date on her shots and now all of a sudden they are strict with the rules. I just wish they were enforcing the same restrictions last month when my dog got kennel cough from here. In addition their prices are overpriced and the dogs look miserable. The people working at the playing field are not engaged with the dogs. I have taking my dog to other day care centers that are much cheaper and much more caring about the well being of your dog. I would not advice people to take your dogs here. I will never take my dog here again nor would I recommend it.

Staff are always friendly and attentive. Wish the pricing was more flexible but its worth the peace of mind. I love having a recap of my dog's day (if he had any "buddies" or if he got too rough with another dog) and makes me feel like at least they're paying attention to the little things.

Dioji Doggy Daycare is simply the best. Our dog loves it there, and the people at Dioji love him. We feel very comfortable leaving our dog with Dioji for the day, over night, or for an entire week as needed. He is very happy there and has lots of doggy friends there that he enjoys seeing and playing with regularly. Highly recommend. Sincerely, Stephen Masterson

Nice facility with friendly staff. Pups always come home tired from a day of play in the yards and the pool. Have boarded our dogs here as well. Always a staff member in the yards with the dogs and in the facility at night to keep an eye on them. Still the best overall.

Friendly people and a good environment for dogs. But some employees need a bit more training or understanding of dog behavior. Overall I recommend Dioji for your dog's mental and physical state. The activities and interaction is key for your dog.
