I really liked this thrift store. It’s well organized by categories, the clothing is by size and color & it was clean. First time I went in was a Sunday & I will be back! I found some great items. Prices are great. I got a baby gate for $10 and a sweater for $10.

October 27th Had A Dissapointing Shopping Experience With My Elderly Mother Due To A Worker Who Has Had Problems With My Mother Years AgoWhen She Rented Out A Room Out To Her Where She Lived In A House Behind The Laundrymat After Mcdonalds in Goleta Fairview Street. This Lady Was To Quick To Only God Knows Tell The Alpha Thrift Store Workers What Kind Of Rumor Because Once We Got To The Counter To Pay We Past This Worker And Her Other Worker Started Laughing Exaggerating I Said Oh God In Spanish I Could Tell The Workers Could Sense Or Knew There Was A Problem The Lady Who My Mother Had A Problem With Starred At Me And I Starred At Her Back While My Mother Was Minding Her Own Business And Paying. I want the Entire Staff To Know What The Problem With This Women Was In The Past To Make Things Clear And So People Could See Who The Bad Guy Was In This Picture. This Woman Rents To Others Where She Lives And Had An Issue With The Bathroom According To Her From What She Had Told My Mother Only God Knows What Other Things This Woman Has Abused Renters with because from what i Remember She Wanted To Get A Porter Potty Outside Of The House So That The People Renting Would Use it. There Was Also Another Guy Who Would Overuse The Bathroom So The Renters Wouldnt Be Able To Use The Bathroom. When My Mother Wanted To Move Out This Woman Was Not Wanting To let My Mother Move Out To The Point Where We Had To Call The Police On Her So That She Could Get Her Belongings Out. That Is Not A Good Living Condition and Yes Living and Renting Rooms Have Consecuences And Renters Are And Have Been Abusing People I Know This Because People Keep Abusing People Who Are Just Trying To Find A Safe Place To Live In. This Women That Works At This Thrift Store Has Also Worked Or Still Works For Chapala Market On Hollister Goleta. I have worked in Retail When I Was 12 Years Old For Many Years When I Was In High School And Customers Are Supposed To Be RESPECTED AT ALL TIMES AND APPRECIATED NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS. IGNORANT, IMMATURE AND IGNORANT PEOPLE DO NOT AND WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THAT BECAUSE THEY LACK TO RESPECT OTHERS. There Was NO PROBLEM But This Woman Has Made It A Problem Before And Now Still Continues To Make Problems I Do not Know This Woman I Do Not Care To Know This Woman But With Just Her Abusing My Mother Who By The Way Is Injured With A Cane, Elderly And This Woman Starting Problems With Me Thats More Then Enough information That I And Anybody Needs To Know To Inform People How Bad Of A Person She Is Especially Her Going Around Through The Thrift Store Telling Her Coworkers Only God Knows What To Try To Get Her Alpha Thrift Store Coworkers Against Me And My Mom To Disrespect Us And Make Us Feel Uncomfortable. Me And My Mom Also Have The Right To Put A Restraining Order Against This Women For Her Actions If She Doesnt Stop Causing Them. I Was Raised And Born In Santa Barbara This Kind Of Abuse And This Behavior In This People Is Unacceptable Shame On Them All Who were Too Quick To Criticise Me And My Mother For Not Doing Their Job And For Supporting This Womans Rumors That She Was So Quick To Spread. Or Should I Say This Criminal Since She Abuses People She Meets And Rents Out To For Her To Be Doing illegal Things To Innocent People. I Would Always Have 5 Star Experiences But Not Anymore Especially After This Happened And Its Not The Same Anymore. Yes You Will Find Stuff But Its Pricey Then Again Everything Pretty Much Is Pricey:(

such a shame. great quality inventory and lots of it. unfortunately it’s unfairly priced for a THRIFT store. not a place to find a deal. parking is a pain.

Very disappointed. The workers were too rude and loud. Yelling at the costumers without work ethics. Yelling and screaming at each other like they were in the barn. We used to donate monthly there for more than 20 years and sometimes stopped by to check for any goods. After couple of years, we were there yesterday, and couldn't find anything good or with the price on. We had to wait 20 minutes for the price check and still they didn't figure it out. It was very unorganized and some stuff were priced more than in the regular stores. They should get a better qualified management there. That place is going down. We won't bother to go to that store anymore, there are much better one in town.

Just purchased many kitchen items for our 2nd year student. All set for his new apartment! Good for our pocket book, for the charity, & for the environment! Organized and well-stocked. Woman at cash register very pleasant.

I found some cute things, but this place is SO overpriced! Wow! Who is paying $25 for a musty stretched out lululemon tank top? Or $15 for shein? A lot of these items would be cheaper new. I think i’ll be going to other places unless this is the only thrift open…

Amazingly high-quality items laid out in an organized and thoughtful away. A lot of fun, and worth the time to browse and to support this venerable Santa Barbara charity. The facility is commodious, I’m guessing 100 x 80’, and with good parking.

Some of the rudest employees work at Alpha Thrift Goleta. If you ask them for a price check, they'll lie and say a different price. The people who work at the donations, reciving dropoff will only go through the good stuff and take it home. A former employer has told me they receive tips and scavenge through the merch before it goes out on the floor. Terrible.

They're very proud of their clothing here apparently. Clothes pricing is outrageously high here. Furniture a bit more reasonable. I bought paperback book for 50¢ really wanted clothes but I can buy some things brand new, better fitting, and exact correct size at department store for same price they ask here at thrift store.

Amazing deals. They have vintage items for 2-6 dollars. And for those gamers who play old consoles the have games for 2 dollars. When you buy movies or games you have to look if there are any scratches. If there are don't buy because you cannot return.

Went with a friend to shop the junk stores. Finally found the item at the Alpha Thrift but it was missing a price tag, although everything else like it was priced at the same price. So we thought, no problem. Oh, no. They tossed it into a bin and told my friend she couldn't have it because it wasn't priced. She then asked if they could price it later and hold it for her. No, they said, that wouldn't be fair to others. They were like robots, but we asked them why they were like this, and they said that was management's policy. These people are warped. I will never return, and my donations will always go elsewhere.

It is so sad to see people disappointed in the prices when its for a good cause. I too have noticed it can be very pricey. On the other hand my son has been the recipient of advocate services and they were priceless. Here's hoping Alpha soon finds a lower price point in which they can still provide great support to those that are in need while giving service and value at their outlets.

Hopefully I went on an off day. The employees were not pleasant at all. I’m assuming the employees are not taken care of. Plus the prices are way off for a thrift store. Selling broken products for more than the big box stores.

They closed the one on Fairview which was some what organized and had a nice size parking. This one is just a joke (parking wise). The prices are high. No return policy. Maybe should do a store credit? Just an idea for the owner!

Disgustingly unorganized, dirty & prices way too high and no mirrors to be used near clothing. DISARRAY! I've been going to Alpha for 40 yrs, first when it was downtown then they moved to Goleta. Past 5 yrs it's been horribly a shambles & declining. So disappointed. My friends & I stopped going. Tday I went to find a dog bed, I said ewwww the whole time I was in the store. When Sean managed it it was excellent. He retired, it went downhill from there. I will not frequent it any longer.

I know its been said already but this place does not know how to price their stuff! You would think that for a thrift store that things would be alot cheaper but no. I went in there for a new computer chair but most of them looked like they were ready to break. Currently they have a black leather chair that looks like crap and ready to break, priced for WAY more then a decent looking one in better condition! ROFLDo they put the special needs people they work with in charge of the pricing? lol

Unreasonably asinine return policy. I bought a pile of items and realized immediately after I paid (WITH CASH) that I had mistakenly grabbed an item ($5.99) that I didn't want/need. It was still sitting on the counter. Hadn't left the store yet, hadn't even left the register. Oops, didn't mean to grab that, I says. "Sorry, no returns," they says. Ridiculous.

Parking lot can be a pain, but this is by far my favorite thrift store in SB/Goleta. Huge place, all sorts of cool stuff. Great furniture selection!

Should be called Alpha Super Thrift store. It's a pretty big place compared to the other shops around this area. There's usually a truck load of donations coming in from Montecito and other affluent neighborhoods leading to some pretty sweet finds. Name brand clothing, accessories, and imported furniture always seem to be in stock here. There's even a designer section, in a Thrift store, which I think is pretty ridiculous. This place embodies local Santa Barbarians and their bourgeois buying tendencies.

Parking was limited. I parked over a block away. Prices are a bit high for a second hand store. Large variety of clothing and miscellaneous items. Staff was friendly the store was organized.

I went in looking for a jacket. Couldn't believe my eyes. They were selling a MonclerMalus Fur-Trim Puffer Jacket for 19. I said to myself, this has got to be a huge mistake. But if it's on the sales floor then it's fair game. The cashier had no clue on it's value so small talk was minimal and I was outta there. A 2,000 dollar MonclerMalus jacket for 19 dollars. 👍

Nice stuff, but WAAAAY too expensive! Retail prices for the clothes-- I would rather buy new. Sad because this used to be a great thrift store with great prices and now I am just disappointed when I go there.

The clothing selection is great. I have never heard of a thrift store selling furniture for more than $50 though. The art is also quite expensive, considering it was free for them...

Lots of diverse used merchandise from furniture to jewelry to hardware at very reasonable prices. It's fun to shop there and find treasures. Highly recommend it.
