I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Albertsons deli and I must say, the experience was outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by Simon. He took my order. He was very insightful about the sales. I was very impressed that he did not serve me “old” or expired foods. He took the time to make sure my tuna salad was fresh and it was the right choice for my family. Simon is an exceptional employee.What impressed me the most about Simon was his customer service, his great attitude, and sense of humor. I definitely recommend the Albertson’s Deli for lunch, game night, and the Friday Frenzy Deals.

I don't usually take the time to do negative reviews, but I'm hoping this will help management look into this issue. I had to put back half my cart because the prices ringing up at the register did not match the sale labels. Yes, I did check to make sure the label was for the items I picked up and had not expired. This wasn't a 30 cents per item difference. It was buy 2 get 2 and the discount at the register was only 30 cents instead of $9.98... for several different items. I couldn't find the small baskets, so I was maneuvering a large cart in the relatively small aisles. The employees were not very helpful. No one was at the self-checkout, so every time it locked up and sent a message for help we had to wait for someone at a register to notice. When I mentioned that the items were not riffing up with the right discounts (after providing my number), the associate did not respond, so I had him delete all items and returned them to their shelves myself. I asked an associate at a register the price of the reusable eat healthy Albertsons bag, and she said "I don't know. Ask her." And pointed to an associate at another register. It was under $2.00 on the app but $6+ at the register.This store, FYI, has a lot of items/shelves, but that means the space for customers is limited. Also, for those of us/you that avoid supporting big business monopoliesand the increase in cost associated with them...apparently they have merged with Kroger for a grand total of 34 different merged grocery chains. As of Feb 2024, the FTC is challenging this largest supermarket merge in US history, calling it anticompetitive. Albertsons: one less store to shop at.

I have lived in Goleta for about a year now, and Alexander has been someone who has shown consistency through and through. I’m not sure why this location lacks staff, but he has always made it a point to calm everyone down about the long waits and made my experience much better.

They had everything on our list for baking except they were out of Guittard White Chocolate. The store was packed, but folks seemed to be in a good mood. Lots of free parking. Good location, on Calle Real in Goleta. It's near Subway, a Smoke shop, Sally Beauty, CVS, a bank, a salon, Kyle's Kitchen, all kinds of great places to shop and enjoy food.

If you use curbside pickup, make sure it's a weekday before 4 p.m. when Karen is there! She is amazing and always gets your order right and will contact you if something is out of stock. Otherwise, the curbside service is mediocre at best. Just tonight they were out of stock and didn't get the substitution item because it was "out of stock" too. I walked in and it was right there on the shelf. No one really seemed to care. I am looking into Sprouts curbside service now since it's just as close.

The world's most frustrating grocery store. Always super crowded, and the ilses are too close to the registers, which makes navigating around the people waiting in line a nightmare. Never any baskets. Abandoned carts everywhere from employees giving up stocking shelves that you ĥave to move get to what you want. Consistently sold out of the basics. The only time I've ever rage quit grocery shopping. Never again.

I love to go to your grocery shop again and again! Your staff was very responsive if ever I have any concerns. I could see that the people who work there are always friendly and helpful. This is a mid to full sized grocery store with a decent variety of goods, and very fresh looking produce. (Compared to other states, it's fairly typical in California)The staff here are always friendly, and they do a good job of finding employment opportunities for applicants who might be considered special needs, or otherwise differently abled persons who are frequently exuded from the workforce elsewhere.

I really like this store for some reason. I like the location, and I really love the staff! It's a little older and smaller as far as "Super Markets" Go, but they have decent Deli and Meat depts. Produce is fresh and arranged well on the whole. Thomas at the registers is always outstanding, and shout-out to Russell, who's all over the store helping out when I'm in need, which is often. Plus the only store that I've seen in town, that has designated motorcycle parking. "Bones" For recognizing low emissions vehicles! Great team of:Frontline Workers.GO GOLETA!

The store set up is a little confusing as the end caps aren't corresponding with the sales. Customer Service was extremely slow, yet when I went thru self checkout when the machine needed assistance a cashier did come over rather quick!

No thanks.Customer service...I couldn't find mayo. Female checker told me location,,,young male packer was not offering to fetch it. So this old lady . going on 80 got it., while they waited. I appreciate the special folks who are helpful and will get what is needed by the customer.

This is a very old school market that is practically nextdoor to a Trader Joe's. It is smallish, and feels crowded and stuffy inside. However, the workers are friendly, and we enjoy the deli.

So me and my wife are on vacation from Texas. We needed some groceries so we went to Albertsons. We bought what we needed and we where pulling up to the register.I heard one of the employees tell another female employee look they don't have bags and they have a bunch groceries lets leave so they don't call us. I had forgotten they charge for plastic bags here in California.At first i thought it was joke or he was kidding but nope they left.I felt bad for the cashier because it was somewhat busy. He paged them 3 times they did not show to do there job.So i bagged my own groceries worst part the cashier did not help he just said We would hire you.This guys have a job to do as a customer I expect them to do it. It is part of the service that Albertsons offers to its customers but these employess failed to do that simple task. I was really disappointed and annoyed that how irresponsible and lazy these youngsters treat there job.People like that make me never want to shop at Albertsons ever again.

Small Albertsons but they have your basic amenities only downfall is they keep the grocery store so cold within seconds of being inside makes you wanna leave and not spend money at the store.

Well stocked store out in Goleta off of Fairview Ave. I prefer shopping at Albertsons, so this store is the closest one in the Santa Barbara area.The parking is adequate and usually no lines to get inside the store. Can find most items on my grocery list. They have a small deli and fresh meat counter.Employees are courteous and helpful. Checkout usually moves fairly quickly.

Pretty small Albertsons. If you need to pick up a few items it is good but for doing a full grocery shopping I would go somewhere else. The aisles are small and when the place is busy it is pretty hard to navigate around. The place has been clean the times I have gone in which is good.

This is a really small Albertsons location. Don't expect them to have the same breadth of selection as larger stores. It's a convenient place to grab groceries on your lunch break. The lines are always short. The store is not that crowded. Plenty of parking space.

Would be 5, but shelves were missing items. I know they're probably understaffed, or their "load" hasn't come in for the week, yet. Been coming here for 26 years, and still prefer it to Trader Joe's, and Sprouts. Tj's SO crowded, and Sprouts is expensive, and limited on many typical grocery items. Too many vitamins and supplements, but that's where the $$ is, probably. Produce has FANTASTIC prices with it's weekly specials, and great produce. Great deli, too.

Very crowded aisles. But the wait in line made Costco look like a speed lane. Probably 30 people in lines and the lines barely moving. I was in line over 15 minutes. Albertsons is the closest supermarket to me. Will I return? Only in an emergency!

I drove to this store tonight for what I thought would be a nice little take home dinner. At 6:00 pm, their hot deli case was nearly empty. A pile of breaded fried chicken, that was about it. They don't offer soup ever, they didn't have much in their cold case either.The hot case was nearly empty because they close it out at about 4:30 they said!In comparison, the Albertson's in North Goleta always offers cooked salmon filets, as well as chicken. So if my timing is off for the baked chicken, I can always get one of those. 3 soups, it's rare that there isn't a least a couple to choose from. And their deli is open until I believe 7:00 pmI will not be going back to the Fairview deli.
