I have not left my dog here yet, but I did a tour in anticipation of an upcoming trip. I am definitely going to leave my dog here while I'm gone. I was very impressed with the facility. The size of the kennels is good, the cost is very good, and the staff was extremely informative and helpful. I was given a tour by Bianca. She answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable to leave my dog there.

American Pet Resort is fabulous and takes great care of my furbaby, Dylan -- a Chihuahua mix. He doesn't need to a haircut but he always comes back feeling so soft and clean. He gets the senior package which costs around $40. I can usually get a same-day appointment if I call early in the morning. If it doesn't work out, the Saturday business hours are helpful, especially because they close at 6.Located on Route 66, east of Pasadena and west of Elwood, American Pet Resort is easy to find. Just look for the pink sign next to the car wash.They also offer boarding which we haven't tried.The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy working with all sizes of pups.

We absolutely love AMERICA PET RESORT!! Our husky has been going here almost a year since April 2023. After having to move last year our new housing provider told us we couldn't bring our doggie with us to live although we had her for 3 years at that time.We searched for the best place to put our dog short term until it could be resolved.Prior to this time we didn't even know that doggie daycare/boarding was a thing. We went to tour a few other daycares right before we found America pet resort &spa but did not feel they were a good fit since the dogs were only let out of their crate for 30 minutes a day. When I went into American pet resort and spa I KNEW we found the right place for our Luna! The staff are really great, kind, caring and knowledgeable here and it seems like they get the best batch of dogs. They let the dogs play for hours and we got to visit with our dog almost everyday until we were able to bring her home.Our dog has done boarding here and often does daycare. Next, I was pleasantly surprised to learn they also offer grooming services. Each time we get Luna groomed the groomers do the best job with her, making her look super brand new,soft, fluffy, and well loved! We love American pet resort as if they were apart of our family and wish them all the best success!! 💜💜💜💜

I took both my dogs and had the best service I could expect. They are very professional and friendly to me and especially my dogs. I would highly recommend them my dogs came home with beautiful white clean teeth and fresh breath.

Really really bummed. Saw the pics and fell in love with the place. So I called to get maggie in (I'm very sick with a stomach infection and too weak to bath or entertain her)I was gonna pay full price for the day, playing, daycare, grooming, boarding.They answered and were very unresponsive, couldn't understand them when they DID speak to me.Not welcoming, like my call was unwanted, so my business and my dog would be also.Just hung up.

I have taken my Brittany Spaniel here for years. They always listen to exactly what I want and I have never been disappointed in their amazing groomers. They are super flexible w/ drop off and pick up, prices are fair and Odie literally looks like royalty when he leaves them. I know nothing about grooming, but the attention to detail in his coat is phenomenal! I highly recommend!!!!!

Adopted an older dog, in poor condition. After his first trip to the vet, stopped by American Pet Resort for a nail trimming. Yes, i know the vet can do nail trim, but i think groomers do a better job!!! I believe it's the owner who did the work with the new dog. They are always so kind to my animals. Love the work they do. Even my cat did very well with her bath here. Highly recommend if you have a dog or cat and need an experienced groomer with kind hands. Place is clean and pricing is reasonable.

I have been taking my dogs here for years even when they were on Rt66 and Ameila. Absolutely love them. The owner is very friendly, and their staff is awesome. The whole experience all around is easy and my three dogs come back looking great!! Thank you American Pet Grooming!!!!

Took my dog there. Will not go back.Got my puppy a wash and hygiene trim. Staff was friendly when I went to pick her up. She was clean and trimmed as requested.I got home and looked at her closer, she had several areas on her tail where the razer cut into her skin.On her belly looked like red razor burn which after a few days scabbed over and eventually fell off.Her underside just looked very painful. Just sad to say this since I went here after reading all the reviews.

I've taken my dog there earlier this year when I found that she had gotten very nervous and anxious about getting her nails done. They were so nice with her! She needed some extra tender love and care and they gave just that.I brought her in for a bath and de-shedding recently as well and my pup seemed so happy after! 1. Happy to see me and 2. She had this sassy strut while walking after. She definitely felt good! HahaThey sent her home with a pink handkerchief which was also super cute.They're amazing! I'll be coming back. I trust them with my pup. I recommend taking your dog here.

My dog seems to enjoy going there and he always looks good when he's done. The facility is extremely clean and well-equipped. I tried another place one time and they cut my pooch's nails too short so that he was limping. Been going to American Pet grooming for almost five years and have never had that problem, or any problem at all. Staff is very kind and courteous. They are busy, however, so expect your pet to be gone 4 to 5 hours on a Sat.

This is the best boarding I have ever taken my pup to. It's clean, organized, and the staff truly cares about the doggies as if they were their own. I feel confident and comfortable leaving my little one there whenever I am out of town I highly recommend them!

Pricing is reasonable and they do a great job! They don't keep your dog all day like some places do. They are professional and hard workers. It's a good size building and good parking. Give them a try :)

Staff was friendly, services were well priced and they seemed to have their regular clients, but this was my first time and when I got a call to pick up my dogs, I arrived an hour after the call and I still had to wait for one of my dogs to get her fur trimmed because they forgot to finish her grooming services.But that's easy to overlook if you have time to spare, the reason this is a 1 star review is because both my dogs came home with eye infections. They have thick yellow discharge and they can't keep their eyes open without constantly blinking and rubbing their eyes.They went in two healthy dogs and came out infected, which will ultimately cost me more money to take them both to the vet and get antibiotics than what I spent to groom them. They must not have good sanitation practices and will not be taking my fur babies there again.

They bathed clipped my little dog and she looked great. They are a bit pricey however they do a wonderful job and you're so gentle with the dogs. I watch them room one and they allowed the owner to help them by being next to the dog so the dog was not traumatized. I think that's important. Animals are like children only in fur coats. Lol.

This is a great place to get your little pupps groomed. I take my little pack of three regularly to have there hear cut and washed and the crew at American Pet Resort is polite, professional, and efficient. I will never go anywhere else.

My dog is not the easiest to work with and I had trouble finding a groomer that would take him,they worked really well with my dog and gave him an amazing haircut , I definitely recommend, it was even amazing seeing how by the time I picked my dog up he was really trusting of the staff. 10/10 recommend

Courteous, polite and prompt. They don't hold your pet for all day like other places. Good short cut and clean job. No injuries to my pet. Also got coupons for next visit!
