Amazing customer service! Just an incredible experience. Our anxiety went down from a ten to a zero as soon as we arrived. Sam greeted us with such a friendly personality- we were immediately put at ease. Edgar was so nice and so professional as our technician. He explained everything step-by-step with complete transparency. There were no hidden fees or anything. It was such a relief and he took such loving care of our dog. Dr Mitchell was so kind and informative and professional. She was gentle and caring with our dog and gave us lots of great advice and information about her treatment. Thank you so much!

Worst ever experience.I bought 3 fish, before I put into my tank, the two fish dead already. Im trying to save the other one, and also die. Before I bought the fis, I saw alot of fish dead in the Tank. Terrible experience. I tried to call the manage, and they are so main because of my language barrier. If you plan to buy fish, this location is not a good idea.

I usually don’t feel moved to write a review based on one employee performance. But if I were a secret shopper I would have to give a shining report. I went during the weekday and asked for help from and employee who was already helping someone and I asked if I could get help when he finished . He was very positive and courteous saying yes of course he was called twice on his radio while catching me up some fish , fish who made themselves very hard to catch. Milo was very innovative in getting my fish out of hiding without injuring him. For that I am grateful. He should train others on how to be engaged and provide good customer service

If you work in the Industry this is the second best place to get those essentials for our fuzzy babies. Decent selection they also carry the medicine fortified foods by Hills. And the rewards program is worth the while. All the best!

Staff were nice but there was not a single cart inside or outside store. I was purchasing a large $96 bag of dog food and it was very difficult to carry to register. In the checkout line behind me another customer was struggling with a large bag of cat food.I asked the employee at register who was ringing me up about the shopping cart situation and was told they have no control of the carts which often are taken by other shoppers in neighboring stores. I was disappointed they saw I had a large heavy item and spent over $100 on my items and employees made to offer of assistance to get the large item to my car.Discourages me from shopping in person at that location again.

Horrible experience. I was charged for something that was out of stock and no one gave me an update. I had to call customer service and when I told the representative about this, he didn’t give me an explanation why I got charged for something that was out of stock.i told him I was upset and I would cancel all my future repeat deliveries and he said ok. And processed by refund. For being a long time member, this is the first time this has happened and I was upset and petco didn’t do anything for me

Very disappointing experience after years of coming to this location . This review is specifically for Grooming Department working at Glendale location on Monday, February 26 between 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.The customer service of one of the groomers (a woman at the counter, around 830) was terrible. I walked in- on time, and politely greeted her “hi, how are you“ andshe barely acknowledged me, and did not acknowledge my dog, which was just unprofessional. She was kind to the gentleman that walked in behind me as I believe she was the groomer for that dog but it would’ve been nice to receive the same treatment. There was a nice gentleman that came behind her that helped me out eventually.My groomer was over 15 minutes late - iced coffee in hand - with what barely qualifies as an apology.They just did not seem to care about my dog at all. I’ve been coming here for years but my normal groomer no longer works at the location. I guess if they know your dog they may be kind and professional but if not it seems like they don’t try very hard. I highly recommend training at this location on customer service, and kindness in general. It was a very unfortunate experience that left me feeling very uneasy about trusting them with my dog. I will never come to this location again for grooming services.

Extremely disappointing experience with the veterinary administrative team and female vet-tech.The male vet that attended to my dog was very patient, kind and understanding.My dog had a negative reaction to a vaccine given by the staff earlier in the day, which happens and was managed by the team without any further cost.The other components to the interactions, Ive had with the staff been disgusting.The administrative staff and vet tech are some of the rudest, most incompetent staff I’ve had the displeasure of coming across; didn’t make eye contact or bother to look up from their laptop or computer; dismissive and used one word responses, absolutely no effort to greet or explain the veterinary process at the store.Not sure how they’ve managed to work in customer care without being corrected by their management team and try and guide them to not seem so miserable whilst on the job and performing the responsibilities attached.But given how rude and cold the staff were I will not be a repeat customer; not that the staff care very much for their paying customers let alone the animals experience.All of this aside what I have found the most revolting aspect of the service provided is the team didn’t even bother to properly clean a wound caused by their own care team; and when I asked if the blood was caused by the injections, all I got was a simple yes and no further acknowledgment of my existence in the store, nor attempt to help clean the wound; as the computer was apparently too interesting to look away from for one moment.To work in a veterinary clinic and not care about the wellbeing of an animal is shameful and abhorrent.If the staff are truely that miserable in their current position perhaps another line of work is better suited.I would not have written such a review if the team took some effort into basic etiquette in manners, furthermore as I had to visit this clinic twice, I could have just considered the first lacklustre experience to be a one off, given that we had to revisit, it has put these two interactions into a very negative experience and hope that other might be able to avoid the same.

Dr. Hannah Mitchell, is unresponsible because I made an appointment at 11:15 for my cat, due to the traffic I came at 11:30 but she already left for the lunch and they told me to reschedule appointment because we were late only for 15 minutes! Grace period. Always should be 15 minutes, they are leaving. They need to call and notify us because we were coming very far from West Hollywood area.! Even though my cat is throwing up and that’s emergency. No one didn’t take care from this vital care clinic. TRY TO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE, BECAUSE EVEN OUR FIRST CAT MORIARTY, AFTER CHECKUPS WAS TOLD THAT HE IS IN GOOD HEALTH, that his heart was good, but he passed away because this stupid people don’t know how to check and how to give care for the pets!

I had a bad experience with the grooming center. All they did was shaving my maltipoo and charged double price. The groomer also damaged her skin. I do not know the groomer’s name but she was a woman. I told her to only shave the matted hair but all she did was shaving dog’s whole body. Now my maltipoo is cold and acts very different.

Jennifer in the grooming salon made my experience extremely uncomfortable to the point I took my dog back and walked out. She then continued this unfortunate behavior on the phone over a week later when I called to reschedule an appointment that was cancelled

Bad service and bad prices! Don't come here for reptile feeders. I paid $6.50 for a TINY mouse. That money could get you a big juicy rat at another store. A small mouse should cost only about $3. Plus you can expect to spend no less than 25 minutes in the store. They definitely don't have enough employees compared to how many customers are in the store at any given time. It takes forever to just order the feeders, then waiting for checkout is another story.

Awful. Terrible experience with this location. I don't have the time to go into all the details right now, but I suggest you stay far away from this location. Manager "Ramon" is very rude, doesn't fully listen to a customer's concern, speaks over them, and is argumentative. He said he's worked at the Glendale location for the last 11 years. Looks like it's time for some training in proper customer service!

Primary reason for visit was to obtain a gift card. I'd already exhausted nearby drug stores and grocery stores, who sold gift cards for your competitor, but not PetCo. At your store they were invisible. I looked in all the obvious places, went all the way through checkout, asked the associate, and he pointed the way out, around and to the right... I'm looking and I'm looking . . . . OH! here they are. What a terrible location. I must say, PetCo has gone out of their way to hide them. Good thing there was no line of customers behind me, because there was only one register open. Next, the associate had to swipe the card 8 times before it would accept the loading process. The decorative holder for the card got badly bent up, and the decorative face of the card was quite scratched up too. Certainly didn't look like a new shiny gift anymore, and I wasn't very proud to present it as one either. Yuck. I'll never buy another gift card from you, despite my family of pet owners. Other stores just tap the cards to load and activate, and they all provide a separate activation receipt. Your associate did not (would not) provide a separate activation receipt. I had to attach my personal receipt (which had other items on it) to ensure my giftee had proof of activation. That was a first, and it didn't feel professional. The whole experience sucked.

Potentially the worst vet experience I ever had.It was not clear to me that the vaccination pop up was in the middle of the store, instead of inside a closed room. I was very scared my cat was going to try to escape (which I was told has happened before), as this is an overwhelming environment with dogs around.The technicians who explained it to me were very helpful, absolutely 5 stars to them. I asked for 5 min to decide, as I was going to make a phone call, and the vet said "we are closing at 1pm, so you need to decide now" -- absolutely no time to make a choice that could have been explained to me previously and saved all of us time. This makes no sense as my appt was at 12:55. Was my cat going to be seen and get her shots in 5 minutes?? What type of business schedules appointments to last 5 minutes?? If they were so rushed to leave that they could not wait 5 min, maybe dont schedule people for 12:55? Its really not that difficult.When I asked the vet if I could talk to him about it, he said, "no, Im leaving", and left. It was 1:03pm.In short: great technicians, terrible vet, the pop up situation (as in having your cat in the middle of a pet store with no enclosures and dogs around) could have been clear in the scheduling, and if the vet is going to not talk to a client at all and leave at 1pm when the appt was at 12:55, maybe change the system so that time slot is not available? Or tell the vet they can have the courtesy of talking to a client for 5 min?0 plans of going back, do not recommend at all

there was a lot of betta fishes and water plants on wednesday. I'm not sure if new fish come in every wednesday.. But it was good yesterday. But only 3 female betta fishes was there.. actually i wanted get female betta fish. but there no female what i wanted.. I’ll try another wednesday. haha

Update: I'm still very, very pleased. I was given a prescription and I just had a difficult time finding the medicine. My cat started getting super ill and lethargic because she needed UTI meds. Jasmine squeezed me in the afternoon, so okay I showed up early and window shopped and hoped that an opening would happen sooner. I met with Dr. Rally and the vet tech Quazia (forgive me for butchering names). Again, lovely, gentle,compassionate folks. Dr. Rally checked Shadow again because she turned worse over night. I'm a premier member, so no exam fee...Yay! She also said, let's follow up about other tests over time, because she's getting along in years. However, she got me different antibiotics and it was significantly cheaper. Quazia sat with me and gave me the options doctor suggested. She encouraged me and helped me to stay strong through this. She shared about something that her dog over came and I felt so comforted. We just lost our other kitty 2 years ago and it's quite traumatizing. I'm happy to report, my sweet Shadow has improved significantly. She's responding well to the meds, is calmer, eating, drinking, moving about and is not hitting the box every few seconds. She's resting and though still a little tired and slow, I can see a big improvement from the night before. Thank you Vetco Glendale, thank you Dr. Rally and the entire staff. I am so incredibly grateful for all your care and wonderful service.

I brought my German Shorthaired Pointer to Vetco (the veterinarian inside Petco). Both I and my dog were satisfied with the care she received and the customer service shown. Up to this point, every veterinarian office before this visit has shown disrespect or is absolutely jaded, leading you to wonder if they ever liked animals in the first place. Vetco staff, however, were loving on my dog to make her feel at ease and reassuring me that I made the right choice in making them her new primary care providers. On top of that, the pricing was more than reasonable. We will be back going forward. Thanks Petco/Vetco!

The lovely young lady that works in the VETCO section Cencia was absolutely wonderful. Made the experience 10 times better. I strongly would recommend anyone to come here just to experience her level of customer service that is not seen that often anymore.

my mother-in-law took her precious Bella to Petco first time getting haircut. bad customer service they didn't let her explain how much hair she wanted to cut off. they send our Bella home looking horrible and they charge her $50.00 the job they did looked like the person didn't care how the poor dog would look like and they did it in a rush. never ever would go back there. we were all very 💔 because she's part of our family and our baby. next time pay attention to your customers and ask yourself if the hair cut u give the poor animals is the same hair cut u would do for yourself or your family. shame on you Petco👎I would put a before and after pics.

This is my 2nd time stepping into this Petco and I was surprised at their collection/setup of fishes. There was so much more life to it than the usual Petco that I go too. It was well lite and the tanks had way more plants in it with healthier looking fishes. Not only that there was more staff at the fish location than I've ever seen. I literally was there an hr because I came in for a light bulb and some plants and ended up leaving with a new 10gallon tank. I recieved a discount for the box being open while it was already on sale. I also bought this beautiful betta, it was tucked away from the front display and in the back rack. So happy I found him, hes beautiful with many colors and kind of spotty but I'm hoping those are nothing serious.
