Came here on Saturday morning with a reservation and were seated immediately! This place wasn't packed at 11 am but it was busy by 12:30 when we were starting to leave.Good:- The service here was stellar, they were so attentive!- The appetizers were great - we started with a clam chowder that accentuated the flavor of the olive oil uniquely and the brioche bread and bun was good too- The fried tofu was surprisingly flavorful and crispy!- The brussel sprouts were so soft- The wagyu beef burger was so juicy- The pizza was so good - house special came with a ton of ingredients- We got a dessert for free since it was two friends' birthdays!Bad:- It is a little slow service, but it's since they are newly staffing up!Overall what a cool experience! I loved the place and the ambiance was so good.

It was my first time in Sonoma County and after a visit to the Jack London Historical Park, I stopped at The Mill for a bite. I was so happy to see the creek running right down the restaurant, the hummingbirds flying around and overall felt very serene with the atmosphere. The food was great and service was excellent with very kind servers.It’s a beautiful, peaceful restaurant.

We returned here for dinner on a cool winter Wednesday afternoon. Warmly greeted we sat upstairs at a booth. We ordered a prix fixed special with clam chowder (with Brioche bun), salmon entree with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables, and Basque cheesecake; hubby had a salad and sausage wood fired pizza. Very attentive service and especially warm friendliness by the co-owner. Everything we had was delicious—salmon was moist, perfectly cooked; veggies were also excellent (brightly colored, fresh and flavorful); pizza was great with lots of sausage; delish even without added cheese and pepper flakes. We also enjoyed an off menu Lagunitas IPNA which was zesty. Because it wasn’t crowded service was very timely. Portions were good—We will enjoy the cheesecake and leftover pizza tomorrow. Ambiance was cool in historic building. Really glad we came, would def return and recommend.

Our favorite restaurant in the area. Such a nice cozy ambiance with outstanding food and service. They think of all the little touches like adding a slice of lemon and cucumber to your water. The food was all so fresh and amazing. We had the kale salad, veggie pizza, burger, whipped ricotta, butternut squash ravioli, and for dessert the basque cheesecake which is a must! They sang happy birthday to my sister for her 30th - so sweet.

One of the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Really good food and such generous portions! Luckily the host (who’s such a nice guy!) warned us we’ve ordered too much and cut down one item from the order. What an experience from the warm and attentive service where we felt like family, incredible food, beautiful and historical atmosphere. The food was exceptional, fresh garden tomatoes, high quality and impeccable entrees. If you are in Sonoma county you must come here! We left so grateful for our incredible dining experience!

Randomly stopped here for a late lunch after a morning spent walking the Jack London State Park. My server was overly attentive, which was fine. Too bad it was too cool to sit outside and enjoy the view. Food was very good, although the cheesecake was not what I imagined when the server said it was a "New York" cheesecake. The Old Fashioned was very good. Not inexpensive though, beware.

Seating is oddly close together in a lot of places. We had requested outdoor seating but was raining so I assume that would have helped.The food was honestly just okay on its own but for the price was pretty disappointing to be honest. A couple of cleanliness issues with the food and flatware. Both the burger and pork chop were really over cooked.Given the positive reviews here, it’s possible the kitchen might have had a bad day.I would go back for maybe some apps and drinks on their deck but probably not dinner at the current prices.Great and friendly folks in the restaurant though. I hope it was just an off day for them.

Food was great and our server was fantastic!We got a few ciders and it was so refreshing on a hot day. I got a pastrami on rye and my wife got a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and we thoroughly enjoyed both.The food was lovely, but the scenery and location are unbelievable. Definitely worth a stop when you are in town.

A favorite for us in all of Sonoma. Family operated business that puts enormous love and attention in the service. All the dishes we tried were superb. We particularly like the atmosphere and the outdoor terrace. The structure is historic and the restaurant operators honors it with a really great attitude and lots of hospitality.

This restaurant has the nicest warmest service. I love love coming to this place. Their food is tasty! I have ate almost everything on their menu.They have a few specials too.They are open early too which helps whenever I’m in need of lunch. They have indoors and outdoor spaces and they are about to open the second floor indoor space which looks so crafty and welcoming.Kudos to this family!

The outdoor dining on the patio with the river down below was bucolic. The server (who I believe was one of the owners) was so knowledgeable, thoughtful and completely service centric. The food was fantastic - we shared the special pizza of the day which was chocked full of beautiful fresh quality veggies and served so pretty. We also had truffle fries which were lightly seasoned and perfectly crispy. Our wine and drinks were top notch. Highly recommend.

The food here is very very good. I loved their fries and the vegetables are so fresh. The most memorable here is their servers. The servers here everyone provides world class service. Would love to come back here if we have a chance. The heater for the outdoor patio is nice The chicken wings is a must order.

This is, without hyperbole, my favorite restaurant in California. It's the kind of restaurant that makes me rue every time I've given a 5 star review to something not at this level. Eating at The Mill is like being invited to your friend's house for dinner, except in this case your friend is a famous chef who likes adding flavor twists to classic food. You can feel the thought and care that goes into each dish as it transports you back to being a kid--ratatouille style-- eating your favorite food after a long day of school.Did I mention they can do virtually the entire menu gluten free and vegan? Or that they have the most lovely wait-staff? No, because the food is that good. As we were leaving the restaurant every person we saw was talking in disbelief about how good their food/experience was. They only have 3 employees at the moment but they were outrageously kind, welcoming, and helpful.I tried the gluten free clam chowder, pizza, a pastrami sandwich, and the rice pudding. The chowder and pudding were my favorites. I will be trying the Masala pancakes next time.

All the foods are incredible delicious. The lettuces salad tasted like pick up right away from local farms, sweet & fresh. The French fries are crisp outside and soft inside. Server also nice and friendly, like your neighbors. I chosen a wrong hotel but I think I find a great place to eat. Very recommended.

I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. My family and i came to have dinner here to celebrate my sisters graduation. We had family visiting from Mexico so we it was a big group of us needing accommodations. Sanjeev, the owner of The Mill, was in constant communication with me on our reservation. He definitely went out of his way to not only provide amazing food, but a beautiful experience. He made us all feel like VIP. And he surprised us with his Spanish speaking skills! The dinner was very much customized to meet our needs. We all left very happy and with great memories. Thank you Sanjeev!

Owner and operator Sanjeev and his staff were more than accommodating and attentive to my entire dinner party of nearly 20 guests. Our waters were always checked to ensure each of us had enough throughout our meal. The atmosphere was welcoming. The food was fantastic; my wife and I got the tomato bisque soup. Definitely recommend the sweet spicy chili wings for appetizers. Looking forward to returning on our next go through Glen Ellen and the surrounding Sonoma area.

My hubby and I are plant based and celiac, needles to say our dining options are very limited. We happened to be hungry and in Glen Ellen so we googled and found The Mill. The menu is so creative ( but not weird or precious) and the found was phenomenal! Sanjeev and everyone we had contact with were friendly and very helpful with the menu. This a place worth the drive and there are many options. Definitely will be back!! 😃😃

We had such a wonderful lunch at The Mill! Our server was extremely courteous and friendly, and the kitchen was able to accommodate my partner’s egg allergy so easily. The food was delicious as well - we can’t wait to come back!Dietary restrictions: The kitchen can easily accommodate any dietary restrictions! They even created a vegan sauce on the spot for my partner!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at The Mill, where the service and friendliness were exceptional. Both the host and waitress were incredibly accommodating, and since everything is prepared from scratch and pre-mixed, they met all our dietary needs and requests. About 90% of their food can be prepared to accommodate gluten-free requirements. Even the chef came out to ask us how we liked the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The outdoor dining here is so serene; the patio is full of greenery and flowers and all the butterflies had my 5 year old neice mesmerized. The servers are very friendly and the food is great. I had the only vegan option (I'm not vegan but was in the mood for veggies) and it was such a diverse plate! All the veggies were seasoned so well and very refreshing. I would come again for sure. Also the water they serve has lemon and cucumber in it!

Absolutely amazing service, quality, and menu options! Spoke with the owner who provided evidence of their ingredient adherence to health over simplicity, and the ability to cater to unique dietary needs. Some of the best, wholesome service I've ever experienced!Dietary restrictions: GF and dairy free aware and able to provide. The only place I've seen stock non-dairy cheese for their menu items!
