The service was fast and professional. I had the pesto scramble with potatoes and sourdough toast. Fantastic! My wife had the bagel and lox. Excellent. For her the only thing missing was capers. A very minor thing. Special mention to the young cook.... It was impressive to watch him work. I've worked for many years in hospitality and trust me; good breakfast cooks are hard to find. Thanks for the best breakfast on our road trip from Phoenix to Seattle. Marc Berthiaume in Victoria, BC, Canada.

The Woodrose is a gem! We stopped here for breakfast while visiting the area. We initially selected the Woodrose because they had gluten-free options. I had the gluten-free pancake, the bacon, and scrambled eggs. It was all so delicious! It was the best gluten-free pancake I've ever had! The bacon was equally good.I highly recommend the Woodrose Cafe to all stopping through the area.

Wow! One of the best spots to stop along the way, a gem just off the main 101 and they have everything. I had a full breakfast and the service was so good I almost stayed for Brunch/wine but had to get to the next hiking spot.Definitely worth taking the exit!

Well the food was tasty however the service was a bit odd. I wouldn't say unfriendly, just very particular. If you come at 11:30 don't expect to be served lunch because they won't. Many of the items on the menu may or may not be available. If you want decaf coffee, forget it because they won't have it and if you ask for it you might get a weird look. When the waiter came up to us I actually thought he was homeless guy since he was pretty scruffy, but he turned out to be working there. He was a bit bristly too, but the woman server was nicer. The menu itself is confusing ... there's a lot vegan ingredients but it's all mixed together with like eggs and meat and bacon so really hard to understand the point of it all. I'm not vegan so it didn't bother me but if you were vegan this probably isn't your place. They had some gluten-free things but one of the guests at a table near me was trying to order it and they didn't have very many of them. Prices were right in line with San Francisco prices meaning they were higher than expected for this area. Huevos rancheros was $15.95 but that didn't include beans which is pretty standard with that dish, and you had to add a dollar for the beans and $2 for avocado both of which would normally be on that so that's $18.95 and a scramble with everything was $19.95 smoothies were $8. I don't think I'll eat here again but I can say the food that came was tasty at least.

If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast or lunch spot in Garberville, look no further than The Woodrose Cafe! This place is a true gem. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly service and a warm atmosphere. The real star of the show, however, is the food. Everything is clearly homemade with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Had the mushroom omelet and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was just right. You could really taste the dedication of the chef in every bite. The Raspberry jam was unbelievable, I could have eaten it straight with a spoon. It's evident that The Woodrose Cafe cares about using local and organic ingredients whenever possible. This commitment to quality is what truly sets them apart. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure my experience was enjoyable from start to finish.Overall, I can't recommend The Woodrose Cafe highly enough. It's a fantastic spot for delicious homemade food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere. If you're in Garberville, don't miss it!

Quaint, fun, very good food. It's not easy to find. The best orange juice ever! Food is very well prepared. Buckwheat pancakes! If you're passing through then you must try it.Vegetarian options: They have it. I'm not, so I can't say more about it.Kid-friendliness: It's a cafe. I think kids would love it. Lots of local laid-back customers, I don't think they would mind kids at all.

A classic small town diner with lots of locals and travelers staying at nearby campgrounds. The servers are friendly, if not cheery... but also be prepared for no nonsense if the crowd gets big.Local artists are featured on the walls and you can tell this little cafe is a big part of the community.

Had to stop in the town overnight due to a flat tire on our way up the coast. The next morning we came to woodrose for breakfast and it was SO delicious it almost made the flat tire worth it haha. I recommend this place 10 out of 10 stars if your passing through town!!

We stopped by for breakfast this morning. My boyfriends portion had too much garlic but too little salt.. My eggs and toast were good. It’s a cute little cafe however slightly overpriced for the food they serve.

Comfortable and super friendly place touting fresh local faire. Decent selections for most dietary needs. Had the coconut curry soup which was very oily but had a nice flavor. Rest of the party had the Tri Tip Quesadilla which was delicious.

Happened upon this little treasure by accident while passing through on the way to Avenue of the Giants (redwoods). Woodrose is comfort food for the health conscience, offering both vegetarian and nonvgetarian eats. Loved the fresh juicing combos and they also have beer and feature a variety of locally produced hot sauces. I ordered the vegetarian Burrito and it was tasty. Others in my family ordered sandwich and hamburger combinations. Family/kid friendly. Convenient location, just off the highway.7

The WoodRose Cafe was a very hospitable Cafe. A beautiful intimate Cafe in the heart of Southern Humboldt. The food was fresh, cooked very well, & they had plenty of options. Also the Tea Menu was very nice, served at the perfect temperature with honey available. My friends & I enjoyed this place twice during our visit to Garberville. I look forward to coming back on my next visit & bringing more friends with me. Thank you for welcoming us.

Woodrose is a cute and small little diner.Fare leans towards the healthy side, featuring many organic ingredients. The prices can get pretty high if you do add on’s.For breakfast my favorites are: two eggs & toast, huevos rancheros, and the buttermilk pancake. For lunch my favorite item is by far the club sandwich. The club is way better than your average diners. I also like their salad and soups.

Hidden GEM!! I was traveling with a group that has various dietary restrictions and each person found something they LOVED and there were many options. Nice atmosphere and awesome fresh juices! It's worth the detour to stop here for lunch!Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian, but 3 of our group are and they were all very happy with the amount of options available.Dietary restrictions: 1 of our group is gluten free, dairy free, nut free, and she said the nut free pesto was amazing and wishes they sold it to go!

It breaks my heart to give a small local independent a bad review but ………. Basically, they charged me for two tea bags without warning. Stood at the counter, put the tea bags into MY OWN CUP, talked about tea all without warning me there would be an extra charge! Based on a charge of $4.25 for a .22$ tea bag X 2!!! Pretty much ruined the vibe. I was a server for 20 yrs, ALWAYS tell the guest about extra charges. Otherwise, food was good, service friendly, clean. Nice restroom. We still tipped 20% but we’ll never return.

The food is so fresh and flavorful! I've only ordered food to go on the weekends but the place anyways seems busy. Normally get the Huevos Rancheros or the Full House omelette. Still need to try some lunch items. It is pricey but you really are paying for the quality of food.

What a gem! Excellent “Eggs Woodrose”, a riff on benedicts, & fabulous potatoes. I always appreciate a one or two egg selection! Plus tea & coffee in a pot, great service, & a box of local hot sauces on the table.

Most items on the menu are gluten free, and the staff are very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. The server advised us to stay away from the toast if you are celiac, but the pancakes are cooked in a separate pan and are very safe.Stuff we're friendly, the food was wonderful, and the gluten free pancake was INCREDIBLY fluffy. Very nice place, a wonderful breakfast experienceDietary restrictions: Great for gluten free
