We had the worst experience in this place. Not at all friendly. They said it was dog friendly, but you couldn’t take your dogs out because the area that they have designated had so much dog poop everywhere, and tampons toilet paper bloody and some with poop. not a spot that you could actually take them for fear your dogs would get a disease or Parvo. All around the motel in front of the rooms and every area was covered with poop. The room was filthy, the toilet and bathtub hadPubic hair. I didn’t even take my shoes off. When I told the owner he just shrugged me off. I recommend that if you’re not picky or very picky, don’t stay there. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Outside of the building looks great, but the inside is very low quality. Rooms are old and need to have basic updates. Coffee maker was located in bathroom.Something in the room (couldn’t tell if it was bedroom or bathroom) smelt like old pee.Would not recommend, but then again there is not much to choose from in Garberville

Our house was destroyed by a landslide during the atmospheric river storm so the red cross put us up here for a couple of nights, the room was clean and the couple who runs the motel are kind and nice.The second night there someone broke into our truck and stole all of the stuff that we'd managed to save from the mudslide that had destroyed our house two days before. Clothes rain gear everything...Camera video from surveillance cameras totally worthless.This motel is poorly lit with inadequate security.No wifi.

We paid $110 for one night. But the room we got was not all that great. The microwave was extremely dirty. The towels looked like they haven't been washed or just look warn out. The dressers were dusty and dirty. The Manager does his own cleaning in the rooms. That explains why the room is dirty!

If I could put a minus I would. It was a horrible experience. Came into town very late and picked the closest one to stop so we could get sleep before hitting the road again. We killed several roaches, the towels were stained and/or dirty. The sink had a leak and the area underneath was brown and stained- just gross. The carpet, the room. VILE and simply disgusting. Do not book here just sleep in your car.

Check in and check out was super easy. It's very convienently located and easy to get to! I wish the room had been a little been cleaner and a little more updated. Our shower was pretty gross when we got there. But the beds were comfortable and we had a mini fridge and a microwave in our room which was great!

Room 130 is a smoking room without a smoke or fire detector. The phone cord was broken and taped together with paper tape. The microwave cord was modified and is not safe. The box spring cover was ripped and filthy, the dresser drawers had ashes in them. The inside of the nightstand drawers were dirty. The Empty Coffee Carafe was so dirty it stuck to the bottom of the coffee machine. Part of the base board was missing showing rotted wood and the paint was peeling off one wall. Otherwise, the staff was nice, the grounds were nice.

It was available. TV didn't work, They need the.money to paint and repair most things. Dog enjoyed whatever was dropped on the bedspread. But price and the fact they had a room was all we needed. He is coming to check it out. It was a simple switch in input. YAA. 4 stars for customer service.

Our stay was quiet, efficient and professional. Garberville Motel is competitive in the budget minded market and holds it own. The rooms are good and clean as well. I do think some deep cleaning may be due,.but I really I have no complaints. This is a town of somewhat different culture and I think this motel which has been around a long time is doing great meeting today's demands in such a difficult market. Remodeling e dry 2 yrs is expensive and not likely feasible for a small family business such as this. If you want to be wowed and pampered I'd suggest spending a lot more and check-in to one of the bed n breakfast's or 5*hotels. Garberville Motel meets basic needs and amenities without passing on the extra expense to us travelers who are just looking for a clean, decent safe room with a killer shower, coffee, fridge, cable and free wifi.I'm keeping Garberville Motel on my list.

Great for the price. I take small kayaking groups to this town regularly. We had 4 rooms for 2 nights. I previously stayed at Best Western which has raised prices too high. I previously scouted all the motels in town and chose Motel Garberville this trip. It has big rooms, clean towels, plenty of hot water, good front desk, good temp control, fairly quiet parking area, and is right across the street from Woodrose Cafe for breakfast. I'll be back.

Office closed before the 10:30 pm check in deadline!? I never got to check in (they still posted a charge to my account). Office emailed me (8:09pm) to see when I'd be checking in, but since I was driving I didn't see it until I sat in front of the closed office...I didn't receive a phone call. If they do not refund since I did not cancel, I suppose I will have to fight through credit card...pain in the rear to deal with, completely do not recommend this place.... better off sleeping in your car than wasting time & money planning to stay here.

Didn't have the room that we had reserved. Uncomfortable bed. Flat as pancake pillows. Unfriendly staff. I had to ask for everything instead of it being offered. A bar of soap from a previous customer was left in the shower. Weak wifi.

The room was horrible. The cover of the air conditioner was missing vent slats and was tilted as if it could fall down any minute. It took a long time to cool the room The rug was filthy and the shower curtain kept falling down. There were 2 little bars of soap, very old towels, and the bed was very uncomfortable. My husband woke up with bites on his neck and along one arm. It was by far the worst hotel/motel experience I have ever had. And it cost $75 before taxes! The motel should be renovated or shut down.

This budget hotel was terrible. Our room smelled like greasy dirt and years of cigarette smoke despite being in a non smoking room. The bed was barely better than sleeping directly on the ground. The wifi exists in name only.

Quiet, clean, and cute. This is a nice motel, I'd stay here again. No loud noises, staff was friendly. The price was, for the holiday season, still pretty low.

It was clean and grounds were kept up. We brought a small weber bbq n cooked up some meat right outside the door to our room. Shared with neighbors that were also staying there while working there in town. So there were a few of us out there & the manager gave us no problems at all.

Now don't get me wrong this place isn't as bad as the reviews make it out to be honestly. If you need a place to rest you head while your driving along the 101 it's a nice little spot. That's about it for the pro's of this place. It's a little old, dirty, and my room had an old school tube TV that's probably older than I am and the AC condenser is leaking hardcore into the wall and you can see the paint bubbling up from it. It's a mold party waiting to happen or already has begun and I have Asthma and that isn't good. I slept fine surprisingly. Bed wasn't too bad (I've slept on worse at a motel 6) but hey. For a good value in my opinion if your young and don't care or you are just looking to not sleep in your car or a tent on your travels up to Northern California or Southern California on the 101, this is a nice little spot.
