Our senior chihuahua developed severe allergies especially in regards to his skin. Being new to the area we didn’t know were to take him.They were able to get us in the same day and the Dr did a complete and thorough examination. You could immediately tell he is an expert in his field and he takes it very seriously.He gave our dog some allergy medication as well as some suggestions and within 24 hours our dog’s symptoms drastically improved.They also let us know ahead of time how much everything would be in regard to price and we could choose which services we wanted to pay for and which were optional. Very upfront with pricing which I liked that way there are no surprises.Thank you for helping our old little guy!

My original vet retired and my friend recommended woodward pet hospital. Dr. Sohi has been my 2 dogs primary vet about 3 years now. I appreciate how detailed and thorough he is during examinations. Most of the visits have been general wellness, but my 6 year old Chihuahua has developed severe allergies. He's now on apoquel and not chewing himself raw. I feel the pricing is comparable to other vets and they even provide an itemized care plan with pricing before additional services. Each experience, I've been greeted professionally and my pups are handled with care and compassion. My pups are healthy and happy 🙂

I am forever grateful for all the wonderful treatment provided by Dr. Sohi and his team. I have two cats rambunctious cats that often need care. The doctor is very communicative and makes clear the treatment plan. There is also great follow up as well. Although when taking care of a sick pet price is often the last thing on your mind the doctors prices are extremely affordable and it is also easy to get an appointment.

My puppy doesn't like this place. She doesn't like strangers to touch her and she definitely didn't like the whole process of her checkup and shots. Especially when they touched her "no-no" spot when they took her temperature. My experience was good. I felt she was being handle with care and cautious even when she was trying to get away. She was talked to recognizing she has feelings and understanding her, and talking with calm tones. Never once making me or her feel like she is "just a dog ". I felt very informed of everything about her visit. I was recommended shots and medications specifically for her bcuz of her lifestyle so that she is protected at her best accommodating her life and not changing what she is used to. I think the cost was fair for her visit. I am happy with the overall experience. I love her so much and trust her in the care of Woodward pet hospital

To start off with, I would like to make it perfectly clear on some of the negative responses to the Woodward Pet Hospital. DR. COX was the owner and veterinarian to this Hospital for many years and had sold this hospital to Dr.Sohi some time ago. DR. COX's REVIEWS WERE NOT GOOD. Dr. Sohi is a completely different doctor and is very good at what he does and truly cares for the animals that come in to the hospital. Let me please explain to you what I mean by this. In September of 2017 I had taken Sasha in to see Dr. Sohi for a complete (yearly) examination. He did a very thorough examination on Sasha and found that her immune system was very low and in his diagnosis he wanted to have a second opinion from an expert in this area to verify his findings (he was not wrong in his findings). He is not a prideful man and his first thought was to get Sasha well and wanted a second opinion from an expert in his field from Los Angeles to make sure that Sasha received the very best care and treatment possible. At the end of her treatment, Dr. Calsyn told me that she was completely cured and was completely normal again which made me feel very good. Less than a week later she had gotten a staph infection in her right rear leg and foot causing them to swell up to about four times their normal size. Both Dr. Sohi and Dr. Calsyn did everything they could to resolve this problem. Neither of them are GOD but they did everything humanly possible to resolve this situation. Working together along with the medication that they had put her on, almost resolved this problem (about 90% healed). Dr. Sohi diagnosed her condition correctly. Because Dr. Sohi wanted to see Sasha a hundred percent cured, he suggested that I take her to UC Davis veterinary medicine which I did. They run her through every test humanly possible with a whole team of doctors diagnosing these results. What did they come up with? Exactly what Dr. Sohi first suspected was her condition. A very mild arthritis condition to her right leg (joint).This did not show up until after the staph infection. I think he hoped that they might have been able to fix it. He is now treating her for the pain but there is no cure at this time for arthritis. He diagnosed this condition from the very beginning correctly and it proved without a shadow of a doubt that his diagnosis was correct. Again, he is not GOD, he cannot fix everything, but he has done everything humanly possible to help my beloved dog Sasha. My question to you is this, is this the type of doctor you want looking after your loved ones?Donald & Sasha

Not sure why some of the staff act like they are doing you a favor for doing their job, but I refuse to take my animals and business somewhere where this is perpetuated.Some of the staff is phenomenal, but for a staff member to speak to me in a condescending tone because I can't follow my dog around the yard with a bowl to collect a urine sample is ridiculous. Morgan was her name, gave me the biggest attitude because she said I will need to bring a urine sample with me, I asked how I should collect that and she said follow the dog around with a bowl. I said I didn't think I could do that because I work and she scares easy and her response was, "You can't do it when you get off of work? You work that long?"- No sorry this is what I pay the vet for is to do the work that I do not have the skills to do.There are way too many wonderful vets in Fresno and surrounding areas than to pay for this kind of service. Got my pups into Sierra Vet within in 5 minutes of this ridiculous phone call. Will never take my business back here. Read all the Yelp reviews as well. This is a common issue at this vet.**The response given by the vet team is not only untrue but shows just how tacky this place is run. Rather than apologizing for the misunderstanding and trying a diplomatic and PROFESSIONAL approach- I get a silly and UNTRUE response. To state AS FACT words from a very unprofessional worker to try to save face is probably why you have many other low star reviews.Save yourself the grief, there are SO MANY other wonderful and professional vet offices.And for the record- my father died in March, that is why I didn't take Lucy in for treatment until later. Because I was arranging and paying for a funeral. So before you try to insinuate in any way that I'm just concerned about the money and not so concerned with my pets health you should try to teach your staff some customer service skills.

Brand new pet owner here. I had no idea what I was doing and Dr. Sohi explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. All the staff that I've talked to have been kind and patient and I know my kittens are in good hands! I wasn't pressured into accepting all treatment and they let me know what we could wait on. We've followed the minimum treatment that they recommended and the kittens are doing leaps and bounds better! I especially loved the curbside pickup. It makes life easy with 2 kids!

Took my dog to get his ear hematoma removed the vet explained everything fine I was quoted to spend no more that 200$ but then the bill came to 500$ inconvenience but it is what it is I got the procedure done with all the meds. and I was told to return every 2 days to get his ear drained after going for weeks on end I gave another vet a call in Fresno to get a second opinion because I was spending almost 100$ a week getting his ear drained they told me my pet was not getting properly cared for they told me his ear should’ve healed by now and not look the same so I decided to go with them instead and I actually paid the price I was quoted which was way less and my pets ear is great now! I just feel like I should’ve went to them at first and avoided all these hundred’s of dollars I spend here. The staff here were awesome they were very helpful and friendly it’s just my pets ear was not going anywhere coming here. I was told I had to pay 50$ because I missed an appointment so if you miss an appointment make sure you don’t get surprised when you receive a bill.

Dr. Sohi and Phaedra are excellent. They took me through all of the details of my cat, Pepito's, issues. Dr. Sohi showed me Xrays, which no vet has ever done. Phaedra came in on a Sunday, to give Pepito fluids.

The staff here has been consistently rude & incompetent for the past 8 months which is a shame because the vet is actually a great vet. Staff will make up retroactive charges from months ago that apparently weren't paid which is silly since they don't give you your pet back or schedule future appointments with you until you pay. If I apparently owed something from 6 months ago, how was I able to bring my pet in several times for appointments & how was it not brought up until the moment a staff member was upset that I called her out on her rude service? It's like they make up charges out of spite. They'll also tell you that they don't schedule appointments but instead do drop offs to "see" if they can fit you into their schedule "if you can make it" then try to charge you for missing an appointment that apparently was never an appointment to begin with. The staff never holds themselves accountable & only ever complain about how much they are falling behind and can't even keep up with what they booked that day. I'd encourage the vet to hire better staff because it's the only reason I'll never be coming back here. For pet parents who would, at minimum, like a decent experience when getting care for your pet, please seek a different establishment.

Amazing staff, I have been going here for about 6 years and its honestly the best office. Dr Sohi takes time to explain everything and answer all the questions, and he is so good with our dogs. The staff there is amazing as well very friendly, especially Phaedra who really makes us feel like family. I wouldn't trust my girls with any other vet unless I had no choice!

Dr. Sohi is wonderful! He was so great with my very sick dog and was very thorough in his examination. His bedside manner is exceptional and he very carefully explains his diagnosis and his recommended treatment.His support staff, particularly Jackie and Phaedra, are equally delightful and professional. They treat your pet as they would their own and always take the time to talk to and pet them. My wife and I take our old Maltese here more and more lately unfortunately due to her age, but Dr. Sohi and his staff are top notch, and we've never had a bad experience here. The care is affordable, the staff is professional, warm, and carrying. Dr. Sohi is brilliant and truly has our little dog's best interest in mind. Since we've been coming here, we've never considered going anywhere else. I was in a frantic because my poor Lola girl was not doing so well.Due to COVID things are different, we usually go to the Care Vet, but it just so happened they were only do appointments, I felt the matter with my dog was urgent.We were heading to the Pet ER on Blackstone, and I saw the sign Pet Hospital on First in the shopping center and pulled in.Called from my car as instructed, they came out and took her in, realizing that I did not have an appointment they were going to turn her away due to their rooms being full. I was upset but understood, it too was appointment only. Audra comes out and says that seeing the shape she’s in, they will take her despite it being full and no appointment.My heart ❤️ was filled.They kept her in and I waited for the call.Dr. Sohi, was so thorough and as I work in the medical field I see the importance in that quality especially for the patients peace of mind and understanding.They took great care of my baby. Ever person I spoke to was kind, helpful, and you can tel they truly care for the pets that come through their doors.We took Lola home, with a handful of medication, and she’s improved and doing so well. I received a phone call 24 hours later from Audra asking how she was doing? And wanting to be sure we stayed in communication on my dogs stools and her behavior.I love Care Vet but feel in my heart the switch to Woodward Pet Hospital will be best.Thanks again for all your help and making an exception to see her.

The staff is incredibly friendly to all pets. The prices are extremely fair compared to the services. Dr. Soshi explains results thoroughly while hearing all concerns. He offers to print or email any lab results for personal records. This place gives me the most peace of mind. Highly recommend for any pet owners who seek the best care.

Review from Wilda Glenn-I really love how they are so good with my dogs. I have been coming to this practice for over 20 years and will continue to recommend this facility. The dogs both seem to love the girls who work there and enjoy the other pets who they bring with them. It was a new experience to see the employees bring their pets but it is also a great experience. Dr. Sohi works very well with one of my dogs who is very hyper and energetic.

I am not fond of the service that I receive at the Woodward Pet Hospital at all. I often feel like I am being "bait and switched." I go in for one service and come out with hundreds and hundreds of dollars in other services that I did not request. Their prices are exorbitant compared to other private vets and the customer service I received recently was deplorable. I travel often for work and need flexibility in the scheduled visits and it always seems like they are doing me a favor when I may need to adjust my appointment times. Honestly. I suggest keeping it safe and going to Ban field in your local Pet's Mart. Being a new resident of Fresno and the state of Ca, I thought I found a jewel but it turned out to be plastic....

Woodward Pet Hospital has been wonderful for our dog Lily. She was a stray and had lots of medical problems. After seeing 2 other vets for one of her problems and being told she needed thousands of dollars of diagnostic testing, the team at Woodward figured it out. With good assessment skills and listening to us, we had a diagnosis. She is now a happy and healthy senior doggy! We love what they have done for us!

His lack of professionalism by calling you while you wait in the car speaks a lot for the level of service/compassion you are receiving, it felt like a call center, telling me my issues and sending a email with a line item price list...It was not like this in the past.I do not feel informed or able to have a professional conversation with this vet anymore with the process he has in place. Easy to push and sell services that benefit his business when you're not staring anyone in the face. When explaining the issues and needs he spoke over me and was flat out unprofessional and ready to end his day at 3pm promptly..I will never refer anyone here let alone allow his lack of professionalism while on the phone to be a deciding factor in my dogs health.

I highly recommend this Woodward Pet Hospital to anyone who is very involved in your pet health care, Dr. Sohi is very personable with both of my Labradors and took the time to get to know them and played with them, and he also does follow up calls to make sure my dogs are doing well. We have been taking our fur babies here for over 25 years. Loved Dr Wells, then Dr Cox and now Dr Sohi. Couldn't imagine better care anywhere for pets. Excellent care at reasonable rates from a very caring Vet and Staff. Through the years we have been through it all. We laughed at the antics and joy of a new fur baby and cried at the loss of a much loved old family member. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

My doggies love everyone here. They cannot wait to be greeted by the friendly girls and Dr. Sohi. We have had need of same day appointments a few times and they have done everything to accommodate us. We have been coming to this veteranarian for many, many years. Dr. Sohi and the staff have become are like family and everyone there is so respectful and loving towards their patients. The business owner does not allow customers to enter the office even though state has fully reopened covid-wise.I’ve brought my dog for checkup and vaccination two days ago. It was 110 degrees outside. My vehicle’s A/C was not able to handle the heat outside so I asked one of the employees to let me wait inside of the office. The employee who opened the office door said that it is their policy and they can’t let me inside despite the heat. She claimed “My boss doesn’t want people inside the office and it is his policy”. I replied that I will be wearing a mask, but she still refuse to let me in.This seems somewhat inconvenient, I do not feel like my rights as a pet owner are addressed. Imagine situation-I bring my dog for certain services( extra blood work for neutering even though my dog had it done at that office 1,5 months ago), told to wait outside, not asked what are my concerns, end up waiting for -1-1,5 hours outside in crazy heat, meanwhile not really sure which exactly diagnostics being performed on my dog, then just handed the bill of couple of hundreds $$ for completely different purposes.I do not feel like I can make an informed decision and have a decent conversation with the vet, it is rather- pressured services, just sign here and pay there. I do not know what the treatment is based on, and where all the charges coming from, I am not given the opportunity to participate in healthcare decisions for my dog.

So I’ve always liked Dr. Sohi. I thought he was the best vet we’ve ever had. Never been thought to think there was a problem before. Until today unfortunately. A little bit of my backstory. I live between Hawaii and Roseville California. So generally about 3 1/2 hours distance from where my dogs are at times. So at times I’ll call the vet check up on them and then I’ll pay the bill if there’s an issue going on. Today my dog how had Staph skin infection going on from a previous allergy problem. Doctor Sohi said he had ordered shampoo. I requested if I could go ahead and get ointment as well to ensure that it was fully taken care of. When I called Dr Sohi, hecame on the phone and started yelling at me. Told me that he didn’t want to do business with me anymore because I was too difficult. And told me to take my dog somewhere else. I was devastated! I mean I was crying uncontrollably. I felt bad that my dog was suffering and I couldn’t do anything about it the present time. I was trying my best and this doctor did not care. All he cared about is whether or not you want to do what exactly he want to do or not. It was so sad because I really had like taking my dogs there. But this is the truth of it… He’s not really who you think you might think he is ....don’t know if maybe some of the COVID-19 stress is catching up with him. But I just cannot believe the way that I was treated! I tried calling back later in the unit secretary was even more defensive with me and insisted that I go somewhere else. I was completely polite and kind and just trying to figure out where the hell this was coming from. And I just met so much attitude! Unfortunate this time I suggest picking a different vet! No one deserves to be treated this way irregardless if they choose to do certain services and not certain services. That should not be an issue. Shame on this but for the way he treated me! I was very upset in tears and he should be ashamed of the way he spoke to me!

Woodward Pet Hospital was awesome when our 14 yr old Chihuahua needed his shots. They held him , cuddled him , and talked to him in such a caring way. They they clipped his nail at no charge. I had told them I was going next door t the pet store to get his nails clipped. They then said they could do it at no charge. They all truly love animals. Thank you.

Dr Sohi and the staff knew my girl (German Shepard) before I took her in after her owner passed.. they have been there for us all the way. Very knowledgeable and their love of our pets shines through..❤ very reasonable and great care!
