I love Star Mutts! They are literally the best!! My aunt used to do my fur babies but she was in an accident and I had to find someone. I know for a fact that my dogs would act more stressed out if I were there and would make it harder on the groomer to do their job. The person who wrote saying that they witnessed their dog not being taken care of properly is a joke! When the owner is there the dog always is more dramatic. That person needs to figure out how to groom their own dog cuz obviously no one is going to make them happy. Star Mutts does a great job every single time and sends a super cute posed, themed picture every time which adds to the appeal of this business. If you can get a spot with them I highly recommend!

Star Mutts is the only place we will take our pup to get groomed! Gwynn's been working with him since his second haircut around 4 years ago. She loves him, works super well with us to determine what cut we want, and has gotten the cutest pictures of him after the haircut!! He always comes back smelling and looking great! I can't recommend this place enough!!!

Love this place! They are wonderful with handling my furbaby, she's a min pin and can get a bit fiesty but they know exactly what to do to calm her down. The owner Gwen and her assistants are all great and knowledgeable and treat my furbaby gently and with love. Love all their photos and decor too.

Very friendly staff! She fits me in when she was booked and I was sooo thankful! This was hands down the best grooming! I've never seen my Harley with such a shiny coat and he didn't come home scratching badly after his grooming! Plus they take the cutest photos after the groom! I love this place!

I want to leave a review that will help anyone that may have some questions about getting their fur baby groomed here. I say do it! I’ve take my poodle mix to Gwen for about 4 years, and I couldn’t be happier. She helped me through several grooms with my dog until we finally found the perfect cut for her. She was completely patient with me and with my dog through the whole process. I have taken my dogs through the years to different and well known grooming shops in the Fresno area. The others have cut my dog or gave her razor burn and in my opinion, that was a vet bill waiting to happen. The cuts and the burns have NEVER once happened in Gwen’s shop. I love the fact she takes excellent care of my dog and there is always POSITIVE feedback.Star Mutts is open for any client to watch and see the process of your dog getting groomed. I have gone to other shops and they run your dog to the back and you can’t see your dog getting groomed at all. Yes, Gwen’s small dog (Dakota) does run through the shop, but I personally think it’s good socialization for any dog to encounter Dakota. I don’t find it distracting and my dog is totally fine with him.I think Star Mutts is one of the best grooming shops I’ve ever found and I think you will be satisfied with the quality and care your dog will receive there.

They do my dogs nails just right. And they even deal with my biting senior dog but with a muzzle, but that’s ok my dog know after that to be a good girl. I have 2 dogs…

Pups have been being groomed (and loved) by Gwen for years!! When the carrier comes out, they rush in knowing that it is their day to have their makeover!! When we lost our Chewy it was such a blessing to have the pictures she had taken of him. In case you don't know, Gwen takes a picture of each pup in an adorable setting every time. She doesn't even charge extra for this amazing service!!!

We just switched to Star Mutts after seeing such wonderful reviews, and having been growing increasingly displeased with our old groomer. Firstly, the owners had a very detailed consultation with us and our baby. They were very warm and friendly with us and our doggie.The groomer was very knowledgeable, loved dogs, and took great pride in her work (all great signs!) She told us our dog would be finished in 2 hours and sure enough, he was finished in that time frame. We returned to her kissing on our dog and putting the finishing touches on our him. She even asked if we were pleased and wanted anything changed. I appreciated this gesture of her wanting to make sure that her clients were pleased, as well as her kissing our dog; she obviously really loves dogs and what she does. Our baby looked the best he ever has, smelled great, and he was happy and bouncy. The price was very fair for such a job well done, and we greatly appreciate knowing our baby is in capable and loving hands. We will definitely recommend to all and will be returning. Thank you Star Mutts!

So as I looked into google reviews I was excited to take my dog for the first time to get his nails trimmed and ears cleaned! My dog is a very sweet boy, but a big scary cat!! I will not take him back, I don't know if most of these reviews are good because you are just dropping your dog off and leaving, but we stayed for the nail trimming and we are not happy!! The lady was rude and impatient with our boy! She wanted to rush through it, she was raising her voice, and she let her own dog run around distracting him so of course his attention was else where and it just was a horrible first time experience!! We also wanted a ear cleaning but she was so impatient with the fact that my boy wasn't comfortable being groomed since it was his first time that she didn't want to do his ears! Me and my husband wouldn't have mind if she charged us a little extra for the inconvenience we just wanted our boy taken care of, nicely, respectful, and efficiently. We are so dissatisfied with how he was treated that We actually won't take our dog anywhere else either. We will be doing our boy ourselves from the safety of our own home so we know he will be treated good every time! I recommend not leaving your pups because if she treated our boy like this in front of us I can only imagine how she treats your dogs when you are not around!! On another note the guy was awesome and respectful, I know he could tell she was being rude and he was giving us some good advice, he also held our dog really well when he was getting his nails trimmed, he helped calm him down while she was just trying to get it done and over with. I hope this review helps! Btw my dog is also a big boy, but that shouldn't change anything! You are a dog grooming service learn how to handle our furbabies or choose a different profession!!!.

Owner was as sweet as can be with our dog. She usually doesn’t let strangers hold or touch her but she did an amazing job! Nails have never looked better. Patient, kind and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back. Great service and great price!

Very friendly and fun people. Got my dog's nails shorter in her nail grind than any of the other groomers I've been to (which has been quite a few). No injuries either. Definitely will come back!

Just called to ask for available dates to bath my dog and the response I got just blew me away. Until September WOW. My dog is not going to be waiting for that long he is getting his bath by me tonight. Either they are too busy or just did not want my business.

Like the other post, I had a bad experience here. I have witnessed her yelling at the dogs and losing patience. I also noticed her husband noticing her being awful. He tried to make my dog relax while she yelled. I liked her until that. Definitely won't be going back. She also used the drill on my dogs nails and I think she burns them with that and thats why he cries.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this Lady! I will not be going back. Wasn’t greeted when I walked in. And when she did address me, It was very passive aggressive. She was obviously stressed because she over booked and there were multiple dogs still left to be groomed. But… that’s not my fault? Or my dogs.She was not positive nor was it a positive place to be.

I love Star Mutts! I have taken my dog here for 7 plus years! My baby was a special case. She had to take sedation meds when I first brought her to Gwynn. All other groomers said she was too difficult to groom. After taking her to Star Mutts for the first few times, Gwynn advised me to cut her meds in half. Long story short I quit giving her meds on Gwynns advise. And she is a completely different dog when it comes to her grooming. Gwynn won her over and has been her groomer ever since. ♥️

Today was my 1st time bringing my dog in to get her nails cut and Gwen was WONDERFUL with Daisy...who hates getting her nails cut. She was so good with her. This is my new favorite place 😊
