We booked a grooming appointment for our golden retriever. As soon as my husband dropped him off the groomer Michelle was already clearly hesitant and unhappy about having to groom him. Almost didn’t take him in because he was nervous and sitting down (while getting groomed he has ALWAYS done well and never had a problem). He swims frequently and therefore sometimes has matted fur in some locations on his body- we have taken him to the Clovis location many times with WORSE matting than he has today and they spot shave where they need to and then just give him an outline trim. We happily pay extra for dematting services. She was so rude my husband hesitated leaving our dog with her. She called me an hour into the appointment telling me she would essentially have to shave him. Her demeanor on the phone was extremely rude, I am shocked that she talks to customers this way when we were paying $135 minimum for his service today. I told her spot shaving was of course okay. She then very rudely told me, word for word, “you know what you’re not understanding I’ll just have my manager call you”. At this point we of course just opted to pick him up. She had started cutting, very sloppily. Parts of him that were not matted were cut short, absolutely not how golden retrievers are typically cut with an outline trim. To me, it seems like our dog was an inconvenience because he required more work than just a shave. I have never had a customer service experience this horrible. We will never be going back and if you decide to use this locations grooming I would make sure not to book Michelle.

I got help finding a pain medication for dogs and the clerk was very helpful and friendly. I also got my dog groomed by Rita and she is the BEST! My pup lives her and she always does such a great job!!

Groomer did not call after finishing the groom. We had to go find a cashier to get our dog after 4 hours. Groomer did not express anal glands and or brush teeth.

Rita is my groomer for my dog cyrus. She takes her time taking care of him and they've developed a great bond, which I absolutely love because I don't have to worry about his safety. I know she takes very good care of him. I highly recommend her to everyone!

I had chosen Petco to be my pet's grooming location for a few times. I was very satisfied until this last visit. My friend had to drop off/pick up my dog off for me. For some reason, an extra $23 package was added to my dog's grooming session. My friend was not told about an extra charge. She was asked if my dog was getting the regular grooming along with teeth, nails, and butt. My friend agreed since there was no mention of extra charges. I trusted my dog's groomer but this deceptive sales tactic has ruined my experience with Petco. I tried to call back the next day to find out why this happened but "D" stated that she had heard my groomer asking and that it was a routine question. I didn't want to even bother. Extra packages that come with a charge should be mentioned up front.

Great service. Clarissa did a fabulous job. Receptionist wasn't very friendly. Never made eye contact, stayed seated at computer. Actually never saw her face.

The groomer does a great job compared to the job done at Pet Smart. Pet Smart is cheaper and gives a senior discount which is greatly appreciated but the job simply is not as good.

My dog was banned after one groom at this location and was not given the proper care or attention that he needed during his groom and they just dismissed my dog
